Mating games will take place in various locations around the resort. Get ready to flash your feathers and present your courtship dance.
As a special introduction feature, all participants will be interviewed by a ★ Mating Season ★ staff member. Our sweet AI friend 🐦 CHIRPY 🐦 will generate a mate card that is likely to match your gameplay style.
Competitors will be able to browse potential mates on the ★ Mating Season ★ app to connect with those they would like to nest with!
Wildcards are an important part of nesting season. All guests that romantically match with a Wildcard during the games will be gifted a triple extra large payout for being chosen by the newest birds on the block.

▶ All characters on the TDM are WILDCARDS, which means they have not yet been assigned a card value. Suits will not manifest until characters are accepted into the game.
▶ All TDMs are game canon. This TDM acts as the game's May event.
▶ Current characters may top level on the TDM. Any current characters posting to the TDM should note they are current in their subject header.
▶ The top level directory is for new characters only. We want to make sure new characters are prioritized and receive attention! If you would be interested in a game invitation, you can note that in your comment header.

▶ Smut threads that take place on this TDM can be used for rewards. If both parties in the smut thread join the game, you may retroactively apply the character's initial card values to your 52 bank. If one character does not join the game the thread will not be applicable toward rewards (as that character would not have a card value). The character that does join would still receive a small payout for the encounter. Hopefully it was a fun thread regardless!

Hi, Kanae. [ the syllables sound a little clumsy on his tongue, but his japanese-american ass tries his best to affect the right sounds. ] I'm Haruto. [ he has even less practice with his own name, of course, having spent his whole life saying it with an american accent. ]
Are they pretty strict here? [ he cups his chin in his hand, chewing on his lower lip in thought. ] If I start describing how I look like, will one of those bird people come in and peck at me?
[ do not be fooled by haruti's nonchalance, kanae — the bird people really freak him out. they are, sadly, one among a list of many things about this place that gives him pause. ]

The way Haruto pronounces Kanae's name is cute. The way he pronounces his own name is cuter, noticeably accented to Kanae's born-and-raised Tokyo ears but certainly not a terrible effort by any means. Japanese, at least judging by his name, but maybe raised somewhere else? Kanae's interest is piqued. ]
I really hope not, [ Kanae says with some amusement, but also a fair bit of horror at the idea. ] Who would I go on a blind date with if you get all Hitchcock's The Birds on me?

But I am kind of curious what you look like, [ Kanae adds after a second. ] I don't think they'll mind. It's about figuring out compatibility, right?

That movie's probably a real blockbuster here, [ he muses around a wry smile. mostly, he's stalling. even though he'd been the one to bring it up, he doesn't really know where to start. ]
But, um... Right now, I have pink hair. But before you go thinking I'm cool or something, just know it's because my cousin is a hair stylist, and she likes to use me as a guinea pig any time she gets a new idea. It's pretty long now, so I've got it tied back in a bun. Oh, and I have an undercut. That part was at least my choice — it was getting a little too hot during my runs so I asked her to shave half off.
[ maybe his "date" won't think him such a pushover now... even though he totally is. ]
I have a couple of piercings, [ a "couple," he says. ] Oh, and a tattoo on my back. [ should he clarify it spans his entire upper back? maybe not... is he starting to come off as some kind of delinquent...? oh, but maybe kanae's into that type? ah, it's so hard to tell when he can't see the other's reactions. ]
Uh. [ crap, he feels like he's been talking for ten minutes straight. ] What about you?

Really? [ The slight smile in Kanae's voice is audible. ] My brother is a hairstylist.
[ It's a funny coincidence, isn't it. From the way Haruto describes himself, he does sound cool, although it's clear he'd have a hard time describing himself that way. Sounds kind of sexy, too, especially the piercings and tattoos. And a runner... runners tend to have pretty good bodies, right? All in all Haruto sounds hot.
Kanae doesn't say that aloud yet, though. Just shifts around, sitting up straighter and leaning forward over his pillow. ]
I'm also a guinea pig for my hairstylist relative, so I have blonde underneath and black up top, [ he says. ] And it's pretty long now, down to my collarbones. I mostly wear it down unless I'm in the bath, though. No tattoos, but I have piercings in my ears.
[ What else... what would someone find important to know about him? Kanae hasn't ever done a date like this, he doesn't know what counts as worth knowing. ]
I'm not all that tall, [ he adds after a second. ] Like 174, maybe 175cm in the morning?
