Alright. I want to protect people with my family's techniques because I want to make something out of the abilities I was born with. [Does he need to provide more context? Probably, so he adds:] My family was an exorcist clan until the ability to see spirits died out, and they quit the business rather than join up with another clan. I can see, so I started it up again.
[None of this was particularly vulnerable, though; he doesn't even need to feel around to tell that the mask hadn't accepted it, which means that the room probably wouldn't either.]
But sometimes I wish my ancestors had just given in and joined another clan for protection, so the choice could be out of my hands.
[That one did it. One of the eyes on the mask springs open. Natori waves it aside without even waiting for Cale to comment on it.] Your turn.

Protecting people... How is that a vulnerability though? Cale doesn't seem to think so either as he folds his arms over his chest. In fact, he's about to say that when Natori provides that additional context. So it's one of those "I am doing the thing but sometimes I wish I didn't have to." Maybe some guilt associated with it?
No further elaboration is going to be asked for either. Cale isn't the sort of person to ask unless the person is near and dear to him. But what to offer in response - ]
I don't like involving myself in other peoples' affairs. [ That won't work either and he knows that. Cale is just getting there - ] Because, as it happens, once I know too much I can't stop myself from getting involved too deeply.
[ Which... Is the truth. One that he doesn't like to acknowledge - the fact that he actually cares a lot though he doesn't parade that around. He prefers to be thought of as some arrogant asshole. The room, however, seems to accept this answer. The gears slowly grind to a halt - ]

Thankfully, he doesn't need to worry about that. The person he's with has enough self-preservation to speak up in turn. At first, Natori pays more attention to the grinding sound as the room accepts both of their responses; it's only once he's seen the walls stop that he thinks back over what Cale had said.]
Haha, one of those, huh? [The sort of people who shut themselves away because they can't help but get involved otherwise. Natori doesn't think he falls into that category (he's wrong) but he certainly is familiar with what it looks like from the outside.] Well, it looks like that--
[did it, he doesn't say, because suddenly the floor drops out from underneath them to dump them right into the damp tunnels of the fifth floor of the dungeon. Natori lets out a very startled yelp as they fall, landing ungracefully on his ass in the grime.] --Eugh. Are you alright?

And he breathes out a sigh when the sounds of the mechanisms cease and the movement stills. Hands go to his hips as he looks over to his "partner." ]
What do you mean by "one of those?"
[ He doesn't get an answer. Natori doesn't get to finish his sentence as the they fall the short distance. Cale provides a guts of wind to land on his feet. He brushes himself off before offering his partner a hand. ]

I don't know about you, but this is the furthest down I've been since this dungeon popped up. I'm not going to be much help if you're trying to advance. [Mostly because it's clearly very damp on this floor. He may be able to do paper magic, but his tools are just as susceptible to getting wet as any normal paper. It was kind of nice not having to deal with unexpected rainstorms in the hotel.] Any idea what's down here? If it's all the same to you, I'm going to look for a way back up.

[ Cale is dusting himself off and checking for anything that might have been scratched or scraped during the fall. Actually, he promises to say nothing about this whole thing as long as Natori doesn't as well. ]
I haven't been this far down either, so your best guess is as good as mine. [ Cale looks up, but it seems like the trap has been reset. He scoffs. ]
Well, so much for using a skill to work our way back up. Right now I think the focus should be getting out of here instead of any advancement.
[ But if there IS advancement, well. Cale won't mind. ]

There has to be a way down here that doesn't involve falling into a pit trap. [So if they can find that staircase or tunnel or whatever it is, they can head back up the other way. Natori digs through his bag and emerges with a handful of paper dolls, thankfully still dry. He fans them out like a hand of playing cards and lets go; the dolls hover momentarily in midair and then fly off in different directions, moving slowly to avoid running into any of the damp walls or mysterious liquids dripping from the ceiling.]
They're scouts. It might take a few minutes, but they should be able to find a route out. [Assuming they don't get too wet to function, that is.]
