MEET THE TEAM
♦ DIAMONDS GAME ♦
OMEGADOME: HUNTING GAME
A cheerful pair of game managers stand outside the conservatory doors and block all guests that try to enter. They quickly explain that a special Diamonds game is taking place inside and only guests that agree to participate may enter. This game is a physical exercise that riffs on "Hunting", which is a popular sport in many different countries and civilizations. Of course, it is one hundred percent safe, and all guests that play are eligible to win massive chip prizes, store vouchers, fabulous prizes, and more.
Details about the game? Those can't be shared outside of the conservatory. Only the brave and those willing to risks will reap the benefits of this Diamonds game. So step right up, dear guests, and sign this waiver before stepping into the flourishing beauty of the conservatory for a brand new adventure.
♥ HEARTS GAME ♥
DOUBLES' THERMO: SURVIVAL GAME
Chickadees is sparing no expense on advertising their e-sport games over the course of the sports festival. Posters, notifications, stickers, fliers! Come one, come all. Sports don't need to be physical. Guests that duck into the arcade will find a variety of e-sport games to enjoy, but the real showstopper that every single employee is aggressively promoting is the new immersive VR game, DOUBLES' THERMO.
A large swath of egg-shaped pods have been installed in the back half of Chickadees. Any guest that shows an iota of interest will be assaulted by employees encouraging them to give it a try. They will offer vouchers for a free session, encourage with mentions of prizes that can be won from the arcade's coveted prize wall, and persuade by praising how high tech and immersive the experience is. Some employees are desperate enough to trick or push guests into the pods if they aren't willing to go in themselves.
However they've ended up inside the VR egg, guests will find themselves submerged in strange fluid as the lid closes. Everything fades away into darkness as the game loads...
♣ CLUBS GAME ♣
QUACK AND COVER: SHOOTING GAME
Cloaca & Dagger has temporarily outfitted itself as a neon-bright paintball course. Gone are the wild sex setups in exchange for series of obstacles and obstructions for guests to navigate while in pursuit of paintball championship. This high intensity game of strategy and physical fitness promises to exhilarate! Welcome to Quack and Cover, a game where your shooting skills and ingenuity will be put to the test.
So say the game managers at the door before following up with a few disclaimers. Cloaca & Dagger is not responsible for any physical or psychological trauma guests may incur while inside. Guests that join the game will then be outfitted in tight black underarmor and supplied with a paintball gun and protective mask before being let loose on the course.
♠ SPADES GAME ♠
PECKING ORDER: MMA GAME
During night hours, many long-standing guests make their way through Talon toward the gym’s creaky basement stairs. Three floors down and then through a desolate hallway with littered with abandoned equipment. Double doors wait at the end, unassuming until they’ve been opened…
Flashing lights, jeers, and the thick odor of sweat. You’ve found the Pecking Order, a late-night mixed martial arts event where guests show their prowess in the ring. Spectating guests shout and messily eat snacks on make-shift bleachers while fighters clash inches away, using only their bodies to fight for dominance and win. Pecking Order is very informal; guests only need to sign up in order to get added to the docket. Anyone can watch, though they will be vaguely warned at the door that even spectating comes with risks.
LOCKER ROOMS
YOU WASH MY BACK, I'LL WASH YOURS
Every training and game location has a door labeled LOCKER ROOM right outside the entrance. These doors all connect to the same massive locker room. The magic of these locker room doors goes one way. Trying to go back to the place you just were by backtracking will not work — you’ll just end up in Beak! All guests will be advised to finish their games before hitting the showers.
The Golden Peacock is proud to present our upgraded and extended locker room. Please come in and enjoy the facilities, catch-up with your teammates, and enjoy some healthy drinks provided by our favorite resort convenience store, Cock-a-doodle-doo’s!

[Not even the loudest alarm on her phone was loud enough to wake Astra up normally. Work always ran long, odd hours and intense schedules making breaks a thing to savor, and long nights like the previous night made it so that she had learned the art of being completely knocked out as soon as her head hits the pillow. Sure, this one doesn't feel nearly as soft or luxurious as the one she had back home, but sleep is sleep and it was a vice she will greedily consume. Besides, Evelyn would wake her up if she truly needed to wake up.
But even the deepest of sleepers would wake up when an unfamiliar sound penetrates their subconscious, and a sudden PHREEEEEEET of a whistle she's never heard of jostles her out of her dreams about Eous with such intensity that she jolts and screeches, flailing in panic as she gets tangled in the curtains temporarily and tumbles down the top bunk she was in.
And if you're the unlucky soul who was just standing there after waking up, well-- you're going down with her.]
BuGAAh??!?!
II. OMEGADOME - All of the boys and all of the girls wants to--
[The outfit was cute. It reminds her of one of the advertisements she modeled for, even if it was a little more impractical for sports than it should be. The meal was lackluster though for the intensity of the exercises, so Astra had decided to play by the rules of this strange place and see about ranking up. Since she couldn't contact anyone familiar, she could only do her best to keep her chin up and hope she finds answers soon.
The hunting game had been oddly mysterious, and while she wasn't much of a hunter, she figured that she could do her best in it. She was never one to back down from a challenge, after all! Besides, finding out about the rules later wasn't too different from variety shows with hidden instructions for the mystery. It made things more fun! Normally.
That was what she was thinking almost an hour ago. Now? She doesn't really think it's all that fun, not when her head was spinning with how hot her body feels, and a bulge that certain wasn't there earlier now tenting her skirt, hiding nothing for any onlookers. She's clutching onto the side of a tree with quivering legs and the pitifulness of a baby deer. A girl might need some help here.]
[Note: Astra is an Alpha for this event, and will temporarily have a dick. Open to all genders, but prefer 17+ for ages.]
III. Double's Thermo - I want your love love love, I want your love
[Finally! A break from the intensity of the dome. It was a lot to take in for her, and if Astra wasn't a professional, she might have handled it a lot less... well, professionally. It was a good thing perhaps that no one recognized her here, even if her pride took a hit at that. It won't look bad on Evelyn or her company or her friends. She doesn't have enough of those after all.
But this game seemed easy enough. Forming an emotional connection with someone was something she's always excited for, even if...the outfit she was given is far from ideal. She recognizes it, finds it disturbing that they managed to tailor fit it to her body now, that they even knew what dress it was.
Still, it wasn't going to stop her from trying her best. There was no point giving up so early.
So that means that a fellow wanderer might spot her making a determined beeline over to them, dressed in a simple white dress that seemed like it was designed for children rather than a full-grown adult, smiling confidently.]
Yoohoo! Are you busy? I'd like to have a little chat.
IV. Wildcard
[None of these working for you? Feel free to make your own prompt! You can PM me in this journal to toss ideas around.]
[Wriothesley is far more prepared for this after what happened with the Springtime game last year.
That, and he isn't as terribly afflicted this time around. He has no idea what this trope is at all, but it seems like being assigned Beta isn't too bad all things considered. It certainly is better than being labeled Omega after what happened when he was forced to become a rabbit.
Wriothesley is sitting up in a tree, looking down at the scenery. Higher vantage point means he can scout around a little more. Spotting Astra struggling though, he jumps down to approach her. He's still cautious, of course, but the way she was struggling felt genuine.] Hey, you alright there? [He notes a scent, but it's not strong enough for him to be concerned at the moment.]
No offense, but you look like you aren't doing too well.
[If there was a silver lining here, it was that no one knew who 'Astra Yao' was. At least, from who she's met. Even if they did, most of them might think she's an imposter, which would not even be the first time she's been accused of that. While that doesn't make the situation better, at least rumors circulating about her acting like an animal in heat won't tarnish the record label nor Evelyn. She'd forgive Astra for it, soothe her and promise her things would be all right, but Astra would never want to disappoint fans by showing them this side of her.
Her legs are still quivering, her face flushed as she looks up to see an unfamiliar man who looked-- quite dangerous, honestly. She shies away from a bit, stumbling back because she feels vulnerable, out of control, and she didn't know him.]
I'm fine! I'll be on ma--aaaAAHck!!
[It scared her more than she wanted to admit, the way she doesn't feel like herself, that tripping over her own heels was all she could do as she yelps and crashes to the ground.]
[Perhaps he might look intimidating, but she'll find that he isn't so different from Evelyn as far as being kind and wanting to help her. Wriothesley immediately moves forward to check if she sustained any injuries and to help her up carefully.]
Hey, I'm not going to do anything you don't want to do. Sorry if I scared you. I was just trying to get a higher vantage point. [The obvious tent is noted, but he doesn't mention it for the moment. He looks at her flushed and sweating face and his brows furrow just a little bit. Wriothesley couldn't smell her pheromones, so he can't say exactly what's happening, though it's obvious.
He reaches to press his palm to her face. It was cool against her warm skin.] There's a stream nearby. You're burning up.
[This is not the first appearance his old unit outfit has made at GP, but he sure would like it to be the last.
Playing arcade games had seemed preferable to getting all sweaty playing sports. Yet here he is, sweating anyway, since he's dressed in a stuffy three-piece suit while the sun beats down on his head. (To say nothing of how awful it was to be trapped inside that VR pod while it filled with a strange liquid. Never again is he letting THAT happen.) He's washed up on a beach, one that feels all too real, and the message on his watch sounds ominous. But first thing's first: he needs to shed some clothing, starting with the tailcoat. The coat, the vest, the gloves and the ruffled necktie—all of it gets chucked right onto the ground and strewn across the sand!
He's down to the white pants and the white button-down shirt when someone approaches, running his way along the sand. It's a woman who's equally clad in white, with long legs, a cheerful smile, and a request for a "little chat." Is he in pleasant chatty mood? Not really, but he can smile and oblige her anyway. As an idol, that's what he does! And given how this "game" supposedly works, she might just prove useful.]
Nope, not at all! I just got here, as a matter of fact.
["Here" being the beach. Not the resort. He has been at the resort for far too long.
He finishes rolling up his sleeves to the elbows and places his hands on his hips, (respectfully) surveying her. It's not every day that he's approached by a woman who's around his same height, but that's hardly a big deal. There are stranger sights than her around. Compared to most people, she's positively blessed in the looks department. Just like he is!]
And I just saw that message about "doubling up." Is that what you wanted to chat about?
[The puffed up sleeves of her white inner shirt made her look younger probably, especially with the little black there that laid over it, but no one can deny her face is cute. She herself knows this, and it's why she can be confident that her good looks will win someone with equally good looks over. Her gut feeling tells her so.
It's a good thing that he's also a quick study. That makes it easier.]
You got it in one! Handsome and clever, aren't you? So, would you be willing to partner up with me?
That's me! ♪ [No shame.] I'd be more than happy to! Though I don't want to chop wood or hunt animals. That sort of rugged activity doesn't suit me at all. So as partners, let's try to achieve that "emotional connection" thing. The sooner we get that done, the sooner we get out of this heat! So!
[He smiles even brighter.]
Let's go for a long walk on the beach! We'll collect seashells, feel the sea breeze in our hair, and have a heart-to-heart chat~♪ That should be the sort of vibe they're looking for.
[Marked as a beta, and with her body tingling in new and interesting ways, a part of Aurelia wants to simply slink into the shadows and wait the whole day out. Yet her curiosity claims her impulse control, and the needy whining that’s echoing through the words is too delicious for her to ignore.
Even if she hasn’t been marked as a dominant, she is yet a predator, and the intertwined pinks and greens painted across Astra’s aura are too intriguing to ignore. Such misery, such arousal, all blended together? She wants a taste.
So when Aurelia calls out to Astra, it’s with a small smile on her face and red eyes that show nothing of pity. Only curiosity and a hunger to sate it.]
[Is this what it feels like to be corrupted? Already, her body had strange changes, ones that she can only attribute to unnatural means. She hasn't been in the Hollows recently though, not with her busy schedule, and she was familiar with the feel of it to know this place isn't in it. Unless it was a mutation? She wished she could contact her friends about it, to ask their thoughts. They were the experts.
But there wasn't anything she could do at the moment. The girl in front of her had a strange look on her face, and while that would normally have her cautious at such a suspicious character, right now, her presence feels like being presented a grand meal with all her favorite treats. She's always enjoyed some spice in her life.
She does still have her wits about her, even if it was just barely.]
I-I'm not sure. My body just started feeling hot and--
[It's a subconscious thing, the way she moves forward, coming closer to Aurelia like she was in a trance.]
Is this... part of the game? Have you experienced this before?
[Was this normal?]
Re: thank you aurelia for sacrificing yourself to her
[Perhaps a more sensible woman would have backed away as the dazed Astra approaches her. Would have noticed the hungry, tranced out look in her eyes and understood that the other woman is not in full control of her actions… and that she might just prove dangerous.
Yet Aurelia does no such thing, staying her ground and watching Astra approach with a dazed look of her own. Her pupils dilated wide as she watches the other woman’s aura curl and reach towards her. She can practically smell it, like freshly baked bread, she wants to taste it nearly as bad as Astra wants her.]
No… No I haven’t. I’m new here. But…
[Is it cruel to toy with her? To offer suggestions that will only further push the other woman into a state where she’ll have nothing in mind but her feelings?
Maybe, but it’s not like she isn’t going through it right with her. Her body reacting to the other woman’s emotions like they’re her own.]
If you’re hot, you should shed some layers. Just to be safe.
( neuvillette's saving grace in this strange little exercise is that he rarely sleeps; despite the human form he was given, he is not human and thus not confined to the bulk of limitations that plague the mortal form. it means he is awake when the young woman topples out of her bunk, and alert enough to pull out of the way even as he pivots towards the source of the noise, head turning and then dipping to see—
oh. oh dear. he steps closer to the pile of cloth and limbs on the ground, dipping gracefully into a crouch next to her. )
[At least she didn't break anything, just perhaps her pride taking a hit for the tumble. She rubs her neck, looking up at the-- very beautiful man looking down at her from his crouched position. Oh wow, if people had seen him, surely they'll mistake him for a moment.]
Oooh, that was so embarrassing. Please pretend you didn't see anything.
[She's normally able to be more graceful, but the situation was--
Wait, the situation.
She immediately tries to sit up, kicking at the curtain that was still wrapped around her leg to free herself, the mess that was her bedhead ignored in favor of scooting back a bit and looking around.]
( he can only judge from her panicked reactions that this young woman is a newcomer to the resort, still getting her bearings in much the same way as he had all those weeks ago.
at least she hadn't woken up trapped in a car with little more to her name than a flimsy robe. small mercies.
the least he can do is answer her question to the fullest, his gaze following hers towards the the sound of the whistle outside, and the vast training fields awaiting them. in contrast to her, he remains composed, voice even like the surface of a still lake. )
I believe it is a ( one moment, he thinks he's heard this term before ) 'boot camp' of some sort. As for the location, you are currently a guest of the Golden Peacock resort. I'm afraid I cannot provide any additional details regarding the precise coordinates of the resort, but if you have any other questions I will do my best to answer.
( he deliberates a moment, then offers out one hand. does she perhaps....want to get up off the cold floor.....? )
[ Heat isn't really a problem for Lighter, desert creature extraordinaire. So the blazing sunlight beating down on the idyllic sands of the beach doesn't cause him too much distress, which is fantastic for him because everything else sure is a lot to take in. Lighter doesn't think he's ever seen so much water in his life, even counting Port Elpis. While Hollow Zero loomed on that horizon, here it's just... an endless swath of blue, sky and sea both. Unbroken by disaster.
Lighter stands to go crosseyed if he looks at it too long, so it's good that a distraction is trotting up to him. Or it would be, if the voice and face didn't cause him to go slightly slack-jawed in wonderment. Turning to face her, it's obvious he's sweaty on approach, the white of his button-up slightly translucent beneath dapper little suspenders. Implications of this outfit aside... man, why's it so wet here? ]
Uh, sure. But first... [ A long look, now that they're not sunglasses to sunglasses. ] ...you're — Astra Yao, correct?
[ yay he remembered. probably bc the manager introduced them lmao ]
[She had almost started with her usual denial, because that was pretty much her default reaction to random fans approaching her in the middle of the street when she was trying to be discreet. Except she sees his face and immediately recognizes him, beaming happily. Sure, she isn't close to him, but you know who is? Her good friends!]
The cute one of that group from the Outer Ring! You're... Mister Lighter, right?
[She had to pause for a while to recall that moment, but she's a professional, and more importantly, he was important to her friends. So he's temporarily important to her too.]
What are you doing here? Oh, don't tell me this really is a strange Hollow after all.
[He's not the only sweaty one here. Her dress was not appropriate at all for the weather, a white button up with puffy short sleeves, and a little black dress tossed over it. It looked more like the school uniform of a child, especially with the large ribbon on her head, but it was tailor-fitted for her. The sweat is drenching through it though, the second layer not at all helping.]
[It’s not been long since Loki found himself on the beach of the deserted island. He’s made his way to one of the huts that line the beach, in search of protection from the sun. He’s sitting on a fallen tree just out front of one of the cabins that he’s decided to take for himself and frowning at his hands.
Of all the things this place has done to him, somehow showing off his Jotun form is not one he thought they would touch. One day he will learn that there is nothing they won’t do.
He startles as he hears someone call out. Loki looks up, blinking in surprise, his red eyes flashing in the hot sun.]
You want to have a chat? With me?
[He sounds rather disbelieving. He’s half resigned himself to being stuck here simply because he knows his current look is often a little off putting, to say the least.]
[Was it practical? Absolutely not. But maybe he was cosplaying? Maybe he was a staff member? She doesn't know, but she wasn't really that much better off. The white button up was already stuffy in this weather, but the little black dress that went over it made it even hotter. Black clothes and sun do not mix well, especially with a heat this intense.]
Do you mind if I join you here? It's really hot out and I am going to faint at this rate. Pretty please?
[ Thankfully, Jingyi's catlike reflexes picks up on Astra's stumble before she falls out of the top bunk. Being the person assigned to the bed directly underneath Astra's, Jingyi just got up, stopping herself mid stretch to catch this falling star directly onto her arms. She didn't budge or fall down, feeling Astra being light as a feather, but Jingyi can't help but give Astra a simple, puzzled gaze. ]
Someone as light as yourself would have shattered had you hit the floor.
[ Yeah, she just called Astra fragile. Jingyi is a master of kung-fu and backhanded compliments ]
[Being called light is certainly a lot better than being called heavy, even if it is impressive to hear given Astra isn't a small lady. Then again, she knows a lot of strong ladies now-- mostly acquaintances, one like a sister, but still!
There's no offense to be taken here. Instead, she's probably clinging onto her more because she hadn't expected solid ground to disappear underneath her earlier.]
My savior~! Shattered might be a bit much, but thanks for not proving that true. Um...
[ The outfit is a choice, and not at all ideal for being stuck on the beach, but despite that between the bright "sunlight", and the realistic hint of sea salt hanging in the air, she isn't going to complain about being stuck here. Of course, it wouldn't be the House's nonsense if the message her watch lights up with didn't make Nami roll her eyes, but fine, emotional connection, whatever.
Until that happens she's busy assessing the situation, gathering firewood before she tugs off the opera glasses the wedding dress she's stuck in to use them as a means of tying up her bundle of kindling.
Just as she's ready to move on to finding a place to build a fire and find fresh water, a voice pipes up from behind her. With a quick glance over her shoulder, Nami can see it's nobody she knows, but she's never been the sort to leave another woman hanging. ]
If it's about the dress, I didn't really get a say. [ Lifting her bundle of firewood, Nami straightens up and turns properly to face Astra, meeting her eye with a curious lift of her eyebrows. ] What's on your mind?
Oh! Well, it would have been, but should I not ask?
[Did... she get left at the altar? Nearly marry a gangster? Lost her husband? She is so curious, but she won't pry unless Nami wants her to. It's not like she knew her yet, and you can't force a connection by making someone uncomfortable.]
If I can't ask, then I'll have to find a new thing to talk about. Like say... Maybe we can exchange names and go from there.
[Scott was staring up at a palm tree, mostly figuring out the best angle to blast down a few coconuts without annihilating said coconuts in the process when he hears Astra call out to him. Oh, shit, is the person he's supposed to make an emotional connection with?? And she's here already?? He wanted to present the person with a gift or whatever, because that's the best to way to start these sort of things, right?
He learned a lot from that otome game--
But it seems like a bad idea to ignore her, so Scott turns to face Astra with a small smile, one hand raising up in a small wave to greet her back. He's dressed in an outfit that actually matches the paradise setting, blue swim trunks, an open white shirt, and his regular sunglasses sitting across his eyes.]
[How lucky. She wanted a beach look too! No, she has a button up shirt with puffy sleeves, a black dress on top of it, and a giant ribbon in her hair. It looked more like a child's dress than an adult's, but she's working with what she had.
The way he had been staring up the tree hadn't been lost on her though.]
Uh-huh! Creating a bond of friendship on our first day! Isn't that cute?
Oh, but I wasn't bothering you, was I? You looked like you really wanted those coconuts.
[ Troy, being from a tropical country, is living his best life in this simulation. It's not just the familiar climate he's enjoying, but the beach is where his heart belongs after he established his new home on one back in his world. He's wearing a basketball jersey that's seen better days, with a pair of swim trunks and flip-flops to complete his "home" look. Troy is quick to get to work, knowing the lay of the land and the types of things that grow in them, making setting up camp an easy task.
While he's out walking alongside the waves with a makeshift fishing spear, Troy hears the sound of a friendly voice that made him stop. ]
Hmm? Oh-
[ He notices the dress, with a bit of a frown, a bit of a mismatch to the mature woman it's on. But he didn't let that face stay etched on his features as Astra got closer. He flashes her a smile and a nod. ]
Oi, what's up. I got some minor tasks but if it's company you want, I'm open to someone tagging along.
[She's not even going to pretend to be shy. Sure, her outfit could be better, but she struts towards him with full confidence, smile bright even as she deals with sand going into her shoes. She'd take them off, but it wasn't important right now.]
What's that for? Are you making a flag?
[It looks like some sort of lance, perhaps? Or maybe just a sharp stick. She doesn't know. She's never gone fishing with a spear before, not when they had fishing poles and limited places to go back home.]

You got it in one! Handsome and clever, aren't you? So, would you be willing to partner up with me?
happens to the best of us
[He smiles even brighter.]
Let's go for a long walk on the beach! We'll collect seashells, feel the sea breeze in our hair, and have a heart-to-heart chat~♪ That should be the sort of vibe they're looking for.

II | Feel free to have Astra get 'agressive', Aurelia won't resist.
That seems unpleasant. What’s going on?
thank you aurelia for sacrificing yourself to her
But there wasn't anything she could do at the moment.
Just to be safe.

oh. oh dear. he steps closer to the pile of cloth and limbs on the ground, dipping gracefully into a crouch next to her. )
Miss, are you alright?
( that looked like quite the tumble. )
no subject
Wait, where is this?
no subject
at least she hadn't woken up trapped in a car with little more to her name than a flimsy robe. small mercies.
the least he can do is answer her question to the fullest, his gaze following hers towards the the sound of the whistle outside, and the vast training fields awaiting them. in contrast to her, he remains composed, voice even like the surface of a still lake. )
I believe it is a ( one moment, he thinks he's heard this term before ) 'boot camp' of some sort. As for the location, you are currently a guest of the Golden Peacock resort. I'm afraid I cannot provide any additional details regarding the precise coordinates of the resort, but if you have any other questions I will do my best to answer.

iii your loyal steed
Lighter stands to go crosseyed if he looks at it too long, so it's good that a distraction is trotting up to him. Or it would be, if the voice and face didn't cause him to go slightly slack-jawed in wonderment. Turning to face her, it's obvious he's sweaty on approach, the white of his button-up slightly translucent beneath dapper little suspenders. Implications of this outfit aside... man, why's it so wet here? ]
Uh, sure. But first... [ A long look, now that they're not sunglasses to sunglasses. ] ...you're — Astra Yao, correct?
[ yay he remembered. probably bc the manager introduced them lmao ]
no subject

III.
He’s half resigned himself to being stuck here simply because he knows his current look is often a little off putting, to say the least.]
no subject
[Was it practical? Absolutely not. But maybe he was cosplaying? Maybe he was a staff member? She doesn't know, but she wasn't really that much better off. The white button up was already stuffy in this weather, but the little black dress that went over it made it even hotter. Black clothes and sun do not mix well, especially with a heat this intense.]
Do you mind if I join you here? It's really hot out and I am going to faint at this rate. Pretty please?

Someone as light as yourself would have shattered had you hit the floor.
[ Yeah, she just called Astra fragile. Jingyi is a master of kung-fu and backhanded compliments ]
no subject
There's no offense to be taken here. Instead, she's probably clinging onto her more because she hadn't expected solid ground to disappear underneath her earlier.]

] What's on your mind?
no subject
[Did... she get left at the altar? Nearly marry a gangster? Lost her husband? She is so curious, but she won't pry unless Nami wants her to. It's not like she knew her yet, and you can't force a connection by making someone uncomfortable.]
If I can't ask, then I'll have to find a new thing to talk about. Like say... Maybe we can exchange names and go from there.

We're supposed to be chatting, right?
no subject
The way he had been staring up the tree hadn't been lost on her though.]
Uh-huh! Creating a bond of friendship on our first day! Isn't that cute?

While he's out walking alongside the waves with a makeshift fishing spear, Troy hears the sound of a friendly voice that made him stop. ]
Hmm? Oh-
[ He notices the dress, with a bit of a frown, a bit of a mismatch to the mature woman it's on. But he didn't let that face stay etched on his features as Astra got closer. He flashes her a smile and a nod. ]
Oi, what's up. I got some minor tasks but if it's company you want, I'm open to someone tagging along.
no subject
[She's not even going to pretend to be shy. Sure, her outfit could be better, but she struts towards him with full confidence, smile bright even as she deals with sand going into her shoes. She'd take them off, but it wasn't important right now.]
What's that for? Are you making a flag?
[It looks like some sort of lance, perhaps? Or maybe just a sharp stick. She doesn't know. She's never gone fishing with a spear before, not when they had fishing poles and limited places to go back home.]
