PARKING GARAGE
ANY CAR IN A STORM
PHOENIX CASINO HALL
WELCOME TO THE NEXT 168 HOURS
Phoenix Casino is a-flutter with activity and packed to the beak with guests. As a famously ever-changing space, the staff would be remiss if they didn't deck the crown jewel of the Golden Peacock out. The casino glitters from top to bottom, shining brighter than diamonds, rubies, sapphires, opals! Party-goers are shiny and glamorous with picture perfect makeup, fluttering gowns, and sharp suits. Card tables are packed and the slot machines are a-ringing as guests play, play, play! Prizes, luxury, booze, attractive people, it's the place that everyone wants to be at.
Those people being dragged inside by some invisible force...? Silly, they were so excited to come that their bodies moved before they realized what was happening. Those are struggles of joy and definitely not the casino's infamous ghost hands dragging unwilling guests to the party at the behest of the house. Look, they're literally hurling their bodies at the card tables with unrestrained glee!
All clocks indicating day hours and night hours have been removed from the casino. Once a guest has entered, their Watch will jam, making it impossible to keep track of the time. You don't need to worry about that tonight.

i. WELCOME TO THE GOLDEN PEACAR (only one tag in, please!)
( Whoever happens to wake up with Orihime will find themselves in a long, spacious limo. The backseat they're in luxurious with a little, brightly lit mini bar, soft music playing, and plush, smooth seats.
Though as it turns out, neither Orihime or her surprise companion are on those nice seats. Rather, they're both on the floor of soft, brightly colored carpet. Orihime herself is tucked against the side of the stranger she happens to be with, body pressed close, one of her legs half-curled over one of their legs. Her head is on their shoulder, lips parted in tiny breaths that are paired with the occasional little sound and the smallest shift against the person beside her.
And of course, she's wearing a robe. Not that it has any right to be called that given how it's a pale peach color and noticeably see through. It hides nothing on her arms or shoulders and the rest of it has already slid off, leaving her legs, torso, and the large chest pressed against her partner completely bare. She's none the wiser to this given how she sleeps surprisingly soundly, though it won't take much to wake her. )
ii. DIRTY DICE
( To say this is all overwhelming is putting it lightly. It's hard not to feel out of place among all of the bustle of energy, surrounded by people in such formal and gaudy outfits. She's been quietly milling through the crowd with the occasional fuss of the dress she's been given - something dark and form fitting that she feels like shows more skin than it actually covers, hair done up. It's hard to miss the people who look at her, harder to ignore the... closeness the other guests have to one another. And the flush on her cheeks already? Is surely from the sight of some of the other guests who touch one another so intimately yet so casually.
When she finally sits, it's at an empty table, and she can't stop one of her hands from coming up to touch her temple where her hairpins would normally sit. Not that she's needed them so far here, but a part of her longs for the comfort of having them nearby. She's glancing at the people around her again when someone slides into the seat beside her, and she glances back with wide, curious brown eyes. )
Oh—! Hello. ( She greets with a small smile, bowing her head briefly in greeting. When she straightens, she glances slowly between her new companion and then the table, the dice there. Her hands curl against her thighs as she glances back up at them, voice careful but polite. ) Would you... like to play?
( Though she realizes, she's not entirely sure this is a game she'll be able to finish. )
iii. SEX TOY ROULETTE
( Of course she knows what a roulette wheel is. She's seen them plenty of times on TV, and she's always wanted to spin one herself. But as she stands there looking up at the giant wheel, she has a thought that she doesn't know if she wants to spin this one.
Her hands lift slowly as she watches someone else spin, curling her hands together in front of her chest in a mix of curiosity and uncertainty. So far, no one seems upset about what they've ended up spinning, but as she takes note of what the manager hands out - a few things unfamiliar and a couple others items she tells herself it's too lewd to even entertain the thought of - she thinks, not for the first time, that maybe she should find something else to do.
A bit shyly, she glances towards the person nearest her, warm brown eyes curious as she asks. ) Are you going to spin it?
( At least for the moment, there's no harm in watching, is there? )
iv. HOUSE OF CARDS
( A house of cards. It feels as if that's the most normal thing she's come across at this party so far, and needless to say, she's relieved. She's built them a couple of times with Tatsuki and some of the others, but they'd never lasted long. Always falling in a flurry around them as they'd laugh. So taking one apart will be different but in a good way.
As she steps closer to the table, she offers a warm, bright smile in greeting. )
This is like the game with the wooden blocks, back home! ( She notes, voice tinted with a genuine, playful excitement. ) But it's been a while since I played... ( Slowly, one hand lifts to her lips, touching her fingertips to her lips thoughtfully.
She's careful when she finally moves her hand, stretching carefully to take one of the cards, holding her breath. She only breathes out softly once she's taken it, flipping it over to read the question. ) What's my favorite food? Oh! ( She claps her hands together around the card, bouncing a bit on her heels with a burst of energy. )
That's easy! Red bean paste! ( And then she's glancing over at her companion, tilting her head. ) Do you have a favorite? I bet it's something good!
v. WILDCARD / MISC.
( general permissions & kinks. m/f and f/f are both good here, though she's inexperienced across the board. feel free to hit her with a random prompt of your choosing! orihime is 17 years old, but i'm absolutely okay with any age for her. you can dm me to plot somethign out or reach me on plurk at batbrain. i also have an invite if anyone needs it ♥ )
[ She's interested in any new and interesting experience for as long as she's here. Honestly, she never had the time to go playing games like these. Might as well have some fun with it, right? ]
My favorite? It has to be coffee. Red bean paste goes surprisingly well with it.
[Surely food and drink are the same sort of thing.
What she doesn't say is how little her concoctions of coffee resemble a normal pot.]
( There's a curious light in her eyes as she watches the other, lips parting slightly as she waits for an answer. And when it comes, she brightens, lifting a hand to hold up one finger as she straightens a bit. There's a touch of excitement in her voice when she says, a bit more loudly than she means to: )
Coffee and red bean paste? It sounds delicious! I bet it'd go good with bread, too.
( And it's a thought that makes her wonder, briefly, what kind of food this place has besides what they have here at the party. Something good, she hopes.
She glances quickly towards the house of cards at the question, taking a small step back to give her companion room. )
[Orihime is so excitable, Kyoko can't help but find it endearing. There's another young lady she reminds her of, though Kyoko hasn't seen her in approximately a year. There's a slight smile on her features as Orihime responds.]
It wouldn't be too difficult to find some in the resort.
[ Carefully, skillfully, she takes a card, flipping it to read out the question. ]
"What is your greatest wish?"
[ World peace, she supposes? That feels so impersonal, that's what she wants for the sake of her home, but personally? ]
( Even if this isn't the ideal situation and what she knows is expected of them is intimidating and nerve-wrecking, something like this feels easy to enjoy. A way to meet and bond with new people in the same situation. It's a lightness she wants to embrace for however long she can. )
Have you been here for a little while, then?
( She wonders, eyes sliding towards the entrance of the game room. She hadn't gotten much of a chance to explore other places before she'd been dragged in here, so what things are like outside of the game room and garage. Being able to find something as common and comforting as red bean paste, though, seems promising.
Her attention swivels quickly back to the other, though, gaze curious as she reads off the question. It's such a simple and sweet wish, she can't help the way her face softens, lips curling in a gentle smile. )
That's a beautiful wish. ( One she can understand in more than a few ways. And the question turned towards her makes her blink. It doesn't take more than a couple of seconds for her to answer, resolve clear despite the soft expression she offers. ) To be able protect the people I care about.
( equally as sweet and innocent looking as orihime, reira stood before the wheel with eyes as wide as saucers wondering if she really should partake in this game of chance. it didn't escape her that this place was rather hedonistic, and frankly she was very into it [for now]. what she wasn't expecting was to have an audience in the form of a rather shy and young looking girl at her side.
when she asked, reira turned to face her with a curious expression of her own. )
Do you think I should? What if I don't win anything good?
( but before she could contemplate on it further, she was finding her hand already on the handle. with a tight grip she gave another look to the girl before her. )
Well it looks like I'm committed. Want to pull the lever together?
( She tilts her head with a hum at the question, lifting her hand to tap her lip thoughtfully. )
Hmm... Well, you could still win something fun! There's a lot of prizes.
( Prizes she can feel her cheeks heating to even think about, but she doesn't let her thoughts linger there. Instead, her hands lower, eyes following the other towards the wheel. She didn't take a lot of convincing, but maybe that's part of the fun of something like this? Making the most of your curiosity and trying your luck.
But the question makes her pause and blink as she points a finger at herself. )
Together? With me?
( She shouldn't, but— )
Okay! We'll do it together!
( She moves towards the wheel, reaching to gently put her hand over the other girl's. )
( almost as if deliberate, the roulette manager manning the game immediately spewed out the list of prizes, terms and conditions, and wished them both the best of luck. it took all of three seconds for reira to realize what she had gotten into with who she had decided to play with, and gasped as she pulled away from the lever.
it was far too late now and as the needle began to flick against the wheel, it landed on spoon. immediately she was handed a spoon, and left with a dumbfounded look, reira turned towards her companion. )
A spoon?! Just how is anyone suppose to use a spoon?
( There's a slow blink as the spoon is handed to the other girl, her head tilting slightly as if she's trying to make sense of what she's supposed to do with a... spoon. )
It's a nice spoon, at least.
( Orihime offers in reassurance with a soft, little laugh. But it doesn't escape her what the purpose of the wheel had been. Her knowledge of such intimate things are limited, and she can already feel her cheeks starting to burn as she tries to figure out what, precisely, the other girl can even do with a spoon for something like that. )
I... ( She starts slowly, lifting one hand to her chin thoughtfully. ) I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with it.
[Her outward friendliness is at least enough to push Scott away from his more grumpy demeanor that's been clinging to him since... ever. Yeah okay, he's had his ups and downs in this place (and in life in general), but it's definitely hard to be a total dickhead when Orihime is clearly excited and happy to participate in this game. She doesn't deserve it, so time to push yourself a little, Summers.
So, he offers her a small smile in return, though it's hard to tell if it reaches his eyes, given the sunglasses that's fully covering them. He just waits patiently as she draws the first card and it's maybe refreshing in its own way that she never seems to miss a beat, her perkiness not cracking even the slightest, as she reads what's on the card.]
What's red bean paste?
[From 1983 America... he hasn't fully experienced a variety of food just yet. It doesn't help that he lived in the suburbs of Ohio for most of his life and only recently moved to New York. He'll get there, eventually, but right now, Scott's looking at his companion with a slight tilt of his head, as if trying to imagine how something like that would taste.]
( People don't often match her energy and friendliness, including some of her closest friends, and Orihime doesn't mind it. There's no point in letting it bring her down, and you can't expect everyone to be cheerful all the time, right? So she doesn't let the small smile deter her from the way she turns bright-eyed brown stare up at him when he replies.
The question, though, earns a soft gasp, one of her hands going to her mouth in surprise, a feeling that lights her expression. And just as quickly as it appears, it's replaced by another burst of that warm energy as she holds up both her hands in little fists, looking up at him in a way that says this is something she's more than happy to talk about. ) You've never had red bean paste? It's delicious! ( Her hands move again, opening one palm up towards the ceiling as she makes a mashing gesture with her fisted other hand. ) You mash up azuki beans and sugar, and them you can use the paste for things like steamed buns, rice cakes, soup, and all kinds of things. It's so good on bread, too!
( And then it occurs to her— ) Do you think they have any here? We should find some when we're done, so you can try it!
( Her fists comes down on her palm, and it's clear she's determined to do just that given the intent nod of her head and serious (but still surprisingly disarming and cute) look she gives him. )
She's just so excited about this?? As she talks about her favorite food to him. Her energy is almost infectious, Scott easing up just a little more as his smile increases, although he doesn't fully match her energy still. It's just kind of nice listening to her as she excitedly talks about red bean paste. He's really never heard of azkui beans before, but with the way she's describing everything... Scott honestly wants to try some now.
He's pretty sure that he's probably seen rice cakes and pastries that had some of that filling in them, but with his limited amount of money, he's only really spent it on stuff that he's familiar with. He doesn't want to waste his chips on something that he may not even like. She's convincing him though, maybe.]
Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's stuff like that here. This place is a lot of things, but it's decent about having a wide selection of food. [Maybe... maybe he can buy a red bean bun and split it with her. He can definitely afford that much. Assuming, of course, she's still interested in eating something like that with him after all this.]
I've only had stuff like black beans. Or kidney beans. [He chuckles a little.] I'm assuming it's different from that.
( Even just that small change in his smile is enough for her to brighten a bit further herself. Even if he doesn't match the level of cheer and delight she has to discuss her favorite food, she's grateful for the little bit she gets all the same. And as she looks back at him, she can't help but wonder if there is something around her she could get for him to try. Would he like it? )
Then we'll find some after the game! ( There's a buffet, after all. Maybe there's something there. And if not, well. She can always find something to eat, and maybe she can try something new and find something for him, too! She nods to herself, and it's clear on her expression that she's determined to do just that. ) Black beans and kidney beans... We don't really eat those back home, I don't think. Except for kuromame, but I'm not sure if that's the same, either. ( Her eyes go up, briefly, thoughtful as she puts a finger to her lips thoughtfully.
Her hand lowers after a few seconds with a little hmmm before her attention turns back to the house of cards. ) Let's finish, and we can find something. ( She steps aside, motioning with both arms towards the house of cards, looking every bit like she's working on some game show, showing a prize to be won. )
( he's gathered around the crowd bumping and milling together in front of the wheel--it seems like there's a lot of willing participants, and some that he's seen being forcibly dragged to the handle; some of the prizes seem to be exceedingly worth it, like chips or cars or even fancy meal vouchers, clothes and watches and other extravagant things. he's always had a bit of a taste for the expensive, but even so--
it's easy to see that there are those crowded around who can't quite take the plunge; in particular, this girl standing near him seems to want to put her hand into the ring, so to speak, but always gets picked over. that's the problem with the rowdy nature of this place--and despite better judgment, he lets out a soft sigh, playfully amused, when she speaks to him. )
Me~? I don't know how good my luck is, in a place like this.
( he's grinning, nudging up the bridge of his sunglasses so that he can take a glance back towards the wheel--and when the staff ask for their next volunteer, he reaches down, nimbly, to take the girl by her wrist, jerking her arm up along with his own. )
She'll go! ( or perhaps, more accurately: ) We'll go!
( the slight crowd in front of them parts a little, with his loud voice, and he takes his time gently elbowing the ones that don't, so that he can lead the girl by the hold on her wrist, carefully guiding her to the front.
there, he drops his hold, hands on his hips-- )
Go ahead. I'll help you if you want, but if you wanna do it all yourself, I don't mind.
( There's a few seconds where Orihime finds herself looking up at the tall stranger, blinking in quiet awe. He's... so pretty, she can't stop herself from thinking. And it takes the sight of him pushing up his sunglasses to snap herself back to the reality. She's about to say something, to encourage him to give it a try. You never know if you'll win, right? It never hurts to give it a g— )
Ah—! ( His hand around his catches her by surprise instead, and her arm goes up, her heels lifting slightly as it's jerked up. ) W-wait—!
( It's not hard to lead her along between her small size and the lack of resistance, warmth blossoming in her cheeks as they make their way towards the wheel at the front. Thankfully, his taller frame helps to clear the way for them. But she still looks a little caught off guard, blinking owlishly as she glances between him and the wheel. Finally, she looks back up at him.
Her expression brightens a bit, and she smiles, warm and pleasant, as she reaches to put her hand on the wheel. )
Let's do it together! ( And despite the earlier surprise, she genuinely looks excited to spin the wheel. ) It'll be like we're on a game show together!
( there's another bright laugh--his hands slide off his hips, clapping them together, and with a brief tilt of his head to ensure that it's okay for the both of them to spin it, he takes a gallant step forward, lifting his arm over her. standing at her back, he lets his hand cover the prong next to hers. )
Alright, here we go! One small spin for the Golden Peacock, one great spin for...us!
( with a soft jerk of his hand down, he gives the wheel a spin, making sure that he doesn't take her hand out in the process; with the wheel spinning, he darts back a step, hovering near her back, and his hands rest gently on the backs of her shoulders.
it's while the wheel is spinning that the staff member announces that they'll have to use whatever it lands on together--or split the prize, between the both of them--which makes him immediately jerk his gaze back to the wheel. it doesn't seem like it's going to fall on any of the insta-prizes, so...
with a despairing sort of laugh, as the wheel starts to slow-- )
( Despite the nature of the game, her words are still an excited chirp as she jerks her hand down as he does. As the wheel starts to spin, she pulls her hand back, lacing her fingers together in front of her as she stares up at the wheel as if she's praying. There's a seriousness to her expression coupled with a small, excited bounce where she's standing as she watches. It's clear this is something she's thought about doing, something that she's enjoying despite all the... other stuff.
The wheel keeps moving. Past the first instant prize. Past another. Orihime can feel her stomach drop slightly with nerves, but it doesn't distract her from watching. Her head whips towards him comically fast when he speaks, and her expression says she's hopeful. That she's not going to think like that. )
Lose? There's still a chan— ( Only as she looks back and the wheel comes to a stop on something that is definitely not one of the prizes, she feels her heart stutter, her stomach drop, and there's no denying the blush that starts to color its way up her neck and face. A cock ring. A soft, disappointed little sound leaves her throat, and the only reason she can even bring her hands to untangle from one another is because the attendant cheerfully steps towards her with their prize, dropping it into her cupped hands.
As she looks down at her hands, staring at the thickness of the purple silicone ring in her hands, maybe Gojou will notice that there's a few, long seconds where she looks puzzled. Trying to figure out what she's supposed to be doing with it. And then her flush darkens as she turns to face him properly, their watches chiming with the countdown. Her eyes are down as she lifts her hands, holding them out to him for him to take the cock ring. ) I-I think this is meant for you... ( As in, she doesn't have that particular part. )
[ for the nth time, shouko adjusts as inconspicuously as possible in her seat. the dress (allegedly) is one-of-a-kind, hand-beaded and meticulously tailored for someone just her size and shape. unfortunately it's also lined with what feels like burlap, squeezing around her bust and scraping the delicate skin enough that she can't imagine having said no to the courtesy pasties she'd been offered. (because god forbid trying to fit a bra under this thing.) she's been waiting a little too long for a table to free up, a wait she'd been assured would be minimal when she'd been given her first complimentary champagne. champagne she had wisely discarded after watching more than a few people unceremoniously crash to the floor after their own glass. she's just looking for a place to stash the second glass when she's taken by the arm and led forward to a girl with fiery hair and a dress that barely leaves a thing to the imagination. if shouko's flushed as she slides into the seat, she has to hope it'll look like blush to compliment the pearly pink of her own dress. ]
Been waiting to. My name's Shouko.
[ her smile is crooked, no doubt, flustered from the brisk escort and the careless abandonment. yes, she really had been waiting for this game in particular after hearing rumors of the prizes even better than the payout. somehow she didn't expect to end up with someone her own age, though. ]
( The girl who sits next to her is pretty in her pink dress, and that's enough that Orihime brightens immediately at the sight of her beside her. )
It's nice to meet you, Shouko-san. ( She greets, voice light and warm, as she bows her head in quick greeting. ) I'm Orihime Inoue. Your dress is so pretty!
( She can't help the way her hands go down to her own dress, trying to smooth out some of the fabric as if it might somehow make it cover more than the little it does. And she feels as if there's a faint but permanent flush on her own cheeks to be wearing this at all. Though she feels less concerned over the outfit sitting across someone her own age and someone distinctly less insistent as the staff here.
The question makes her eyes turn towards the dice, and her brows crease slowly. She understands the idea of the game, but as she reaches to delicately take the dice between her hands, she realizes this... might be harder than she expected. So she settles for gathering the dice in her hands before offering them out to Shouko. )
You can go first. ( Letting someone else start is polite, after all, and maybe seeing someone else do this first will be enough to ease the flutter of her nerves. )
[ Ordinarily, a Servant wouldn't need to sleep. They are spirits who subsist on minds and souls, after all, so human needs don't enter into the equation.
It's part of the reason why the experience of waking up is jarring in itself. Especially to the sound of music, and...a warm...body?
Archer opens his eyes, and the shock is immediate. Not only because of the setting, but also there is...most definitely a sleeping young woman curled up against him. Her robe leaves almost nothing to the imagination, and his...well, it's a tawdry, fur-lined thing that has mostly pulled away from his chest.
What is one to do in a situation like this? Well...honestly he has no idea. He hesitates to move - or really do anything at all. He doesn't want to move her himself so...after a long, painfully debate, he gently touches her shoulder to wake her. ]
( The gentle touch to her shoulder earns a soft sound as if her body is trying to assure her companion that she's registered the contact at all. It's enough, at least, that something seems to kick in, eyelids scrunching before relaxing and her leg slowly sliding off his where she'd been curled.
When her lashes finally flutter open, it takes a few seconds for the fuzzy colors of the world to smooth out and her mind to register that what she happens to be pressed against is another person. And once the world finally clears enough that she recognizes her hand is on someone's... chest, everything else happens quickly. )
Ah—! ( She gasps quickly, jerking back quickly with a startled little squeak. ) Please excuse me! ( The worlds are a quick but sincere apology, and even if it takes a couple seconds to align her limbs properly, she manages to get her legs under her as she bows deeply where she is on her knees. There's already a blossom of warmth on her cheeks from the surprise of it all coupled with the closeness of what had been such close contact with a stranger. ) I'm very sorry!
( But it's only as she bows that she recognizes two very important things: she's naked and he seems to be as well. Her lips part in a surprised gasp, body straightening enough that she can hastily turn to one side and snatch the front of the see through robe against herself, thighs squeezing together as her eyes close and her arms fold over here chest. There's no denying the blush on her cheeks now, and she's grateful for the length of her hand that spills down her neck and shoulders. )
I— ( She's too flustered to think of what to say, but she finally manages. ) T-these aren't my clothes.
[ ...this truly is far more awkward for her than it is for him, isn't it. Archer is silent as her reaction unfolds in front of him, and it is very obvious this young lady had nothing to do with their present predicament. And that she seem to feel far more compromised than he does.
Archer pulls back from her as well, making sure to give her space. His robe at least covers him better (and he tries to re-arrange it at least somewhere), but hers...something will have to be done about that.
He puffs out a quiet breath. ]
Nor are they mine. And I would apologize as well, but I think neither of us have chosen to be here.
[ And certainly not in such a state of...undress. A long, red jacket materializes out of thin air, and he offers it to her. ]
( A small, flustered sound leaves her as she looks around the space in front of her, searching for anything that might cover more than this silly excuse for a robe. This isn't anything like what she'd normally wear, and that only serves to frustrate her further on top of how revealing it is. But at least, the stranger with her isn't making this situation worse than it already is. There's a quick glance over her shoulder as she hears him move, seeing the way he rearranges his own robe, before her head turns quickly forward again. )
It's okay. ( She reassures with a small shake of her head. ) It isn't your fault, right? There's nothing to apologize for.
( And she means that, even if she can't stand the thought of turning towards him just yet. Maybe if she arranges her hair a better way, it'll cover more... She's starting to do just that when he speaks again, and she does look over at him this time. The offered jacket earns a soft, relieved sigh, comforted by the thought that this guy isn't trying to leave her like this. But as she holds her arm over her chest as she twists to stretch her hand out for the jacket, she pauses when he fingers brush the material. )
Naoto had been caught out by the dice game, that'd been bad enough. Then she'd been warned about the gambling games and their penalties if one didn't have money. The roulette wheel was rather tame really. You could see what it was all about by the prizes handed out. The prizes that ranged from very phallic to... Things Naoto didn't want to look at. Because when she looked at them, she wondered how they were used and if that'd actually feel good to anyone.
Curiosity and the cat, Shirogane.
Just going to drag her eyes away. Focusing on the woman next to her.]
( Ahoy! Have a shinigami for your troubles. adfslkj I'm cool with both gen and spice since Ragna can be a stick in the mud until he's nudged just right. )
Hey! Do you have any idea what rank I am?! [ If Orihime was anticipating somebody sliding on in smoothly to her side, the game was getting shaken up a little here as one of the game managers was all smiles and nods, exercising surprising strength as they nudge shove the much taller Grim Reaper from the back towards the young lady's table. Immediately grimacing over his shoulder to the manager, his brow knits with a grumpy furrow as he realizes what he just said. ] Great. First time I ever pulled the "dO yOu EvEn KnOw wHo i aM?" card.
[ Clearly, Ragna wasn't doing enough partying. Or leading by example with his high rank in showing the wildcards here a good time! Whether this manager didn't catch the memo that Ragna the Bloodedge was among the more stubborn guests or not, he's here now. Nudge nudge. ]
Okay-okay just. Stop! I'll go.
[ "Very good, Mr. Bloodedge. Do show our guest here a good time, would you??" ]
[ Excusing themselves, Ragna looses a sigh before setting his eyes on Orihime's table. Did she overhear any of that? Either way, he'd best lead by example, as the House would say. Probably. Excusing himself as he slides in by her side, those curious brown eyes were met with the mismatched pair of green and red. Though, given their height difference, it was difficult not to look down on her...and what she was wearing. His periphery was being tested oh-so-hard right now. ]
Hello. Sorry about that.
[ Their gaze mutually follows the same path. From one another. To the table. The newfound 12-sided die. And rules that stipulate that there had to be a winner. A hand digs into the fabric of his pantleg before Orihime poses the question, and he clears his throat in an attempt to seem all put together. ]
What, a little game of dice? Easy payout, yeah?
[ He says as he leans forward to scoop up the pair of dice, not quite ready to roll them yet as his gaze studies her once more. ]
So. Want me to take the first roll? Just for an example?

My favorite? It has to be coffee. Red bean paste goes surprisingly well with it.
[Surely food and drink are the same sort of thing.
What she doesn't say is how little her concoctions of coffee resemble a normal pot.]
My turn to take a card then?
no subject
Coffee and red bean paste? It sounds delicious! I bet it'd go good with bread, too.
( And it's a thought that makes her wonder, briefly, what kind of food this place has besides what they have here at the party. Something good, she hopes.
She glances quickly towards the house of cards at the question, taking a small step back to give her companion room. )
Yup! Your turn.
no subject
It wouldn't be too difficult to find some in the resort.
[ Carefully, skillfully, she takes a card, flipping it to read out the question. ]
"What is your greatest wish?"
[ World peace, she supposes? That feels so impersonal, that's what she wants for the sake of her home, but personally? ]
To reunite with a partner.
[ That feels much more true to her. ]
And you?
no subject
It doesn't take more than a couple of seconds for her to answer, resolve clear despite the soft expression she offers. ) To be able protect the people I care about.

when she asked, reira turned to face her with a curious expression of her own. )
Do you think I should? What if I don't win anything good?
( but before she could contemplate on it further, she was finding her hand already on the handle. with a tight grip she gave another look to the girl before her. )
Well it looks like I'm committed. Want to pull the lever together?
no subject
( She moves towards the wheel, reaching to gently put her hand over the other girl's. )
Ready— go!
( And she's spinning the wheel! )
no subject
it was far too late now and as the needle began to flick against the wheel, it landed on spoon. immediately she was handed a spoon, and left with a dumbfounded look, reira turned towards her companion. )
A spoon?! Just how is anyone suppose to use a spoon?
no subject
( There's a slow blink as the spoon is handed to the other girl, her head tilting slightly as if she's trying to make sense of what she's supposed to do with a... spoon. )
It's a nice spoon, at least.
( Orihime offers in reassurance with a soft, little laugh. But it doesn't escape her what the purpose of the wheel had been. Her knowledge of such intimate things are limited, and she can already feel her cheeks starting to burn as she tries to figure out what, precisely, the other girl can even do with a spoon for something like that. )
I... ( She starts slowly, lifting one hand to her chin thoughtfully. ) I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with it.

iv;
Do you put that on bread?
no subject
( Her fists comes down on her palm, and it's clear she's determined to do just that given the intent nod of her head and serious (but still surprisingly disarming and cute) look she gives him. )
no subject
[He chuckles a little.] I'm assuming it's different from that.
no subject
( She steps aside, motioning with both arms towards the house of cards, looking every bit like she's working on some game show, showing a prize to be won. )
You're up next!

it's easy to see that there are those crowded around who can't quite take the plunge; in particular, this girl standing near him seems to want to put her hand into the ring, so to speak, but always gets picked over. that's the problem with the rowdy nature of this place--and despite better judgment, he lets out a soft sigh, playfully amused, when she speaks to him. )
Go ahead. I'll help you if you want, but if you wanna do it all yourself, I don't mind.
no subject
( And despite the earlier surprise, she genuinely looks excited to spin the wheel. ) It'll be like we're on a game show together!
no subject
We're gonna lose this game show, girly-chan.
no subject
( As in, she doesn't have that particular part. )

You wanna roll first, or should I?
no subject
( Letting someone else start is polite, after all, and maybe seeing someone else do this first will be enough to ease the flutter of her nerves. )

This should help until we find something else.
no subject
But as she holds her arm over her chest as she twists to stretch her hand out for the jacket, she pauses when he fingers brush the material. )
Are you sure? You need it, too.

roulette - because lmao
[Immediately! Zero hesitation!
Why? Were you planning to?
