【 Thank you for choosing the Golden Peacock, 5-star resort and casino. You are currently registered as a WILDCARD in our system.
Due to a high volume of check-ins, temporary accommodations have been made in our mid-rank suites for all new arrivals. We ask current mid-rank guests to welcome any new arrivals that may temporarily be assigned to their room while we process reservations.
Exciting news! The Phoenix Casino has undergone a renovation. Guests are invited to come enjoy refreshed facilities, games, and lounges. We don't think you'll ever want to leave!
Additionally, the casino will be hosting an upper rank soiree at the end of the month. All guests rank 9 and above are invited to attend. Any +1s of low rank may only attend as a pet or personal attendant. Otherwise, low ranks are not welcome.
We aim to have all guests moved into their suites as soon as possible. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience! 】

1. casino bunny. [ she's seen all manner of strange and horrifying things in her line of work, and she's learned to expect them now, but this admittedly takes the cake.
it's been a long time since she's had to go in blind, to really start from scratch without any info and none of her usual gadgets. but ada isn't one to give in even when the odds don't look good, so she plays the games, wears the bunny costume when they decide to rope her in to serve tables. it's a good way to pick up on conversations as she weaves around guests, matching drinks to their respective customers as if she's been doing this for longer than the thirty minutes of her shift.
at least, until once of those ghostly hands come by as she's leaned over to place a drink down. ada's hand reaches out to grab it as it brushes against her hip, but ends up grabbing someone else's instead. it's a firm grip, a little too strong to match her appearance, and ada immediately lets go. ]
I'm sorry, [ she says, pulling on an apologetic smile and softening her voice. ] Are you all right? Let me get you another drink.
2. peacock lounge; date night. [ the date is unplanned but, honestly, this works just fine. did she really just happen to be next to you at that exact moment to be paired up for a date, or was it by design? who's to say? especially not now, when they're both at the table with drinks. ]
They're certainly pushy. [ her tone is wry, but her expression is sympathetic. ] Let's hope their drinks are better than the service.
3. royal night. [ she's on waitress duty again, but that suits her just fine. she's free to melt into the shadows while the high rank guests flaunt their pets and chips around, drifting to and from crowds while passing out flutes of champagne. it's all a little too... much, for her tastes, but that's the trend in every part of this resort, it seems.
ada refuses to be tethered, even for just a night, and there's others that likely feel the same. for those, she goes a little out of her way. a little shift and nudge of her foot, and another waiter goes down, spilling a tray of hors d'oeuvres onto the coat of a high rank guest, causing just enough commotion for them to drop the chain.
and if you look up, maybe you'll spot her some feet away, a brief meeting of dark eyes and a knowing glance before she slips away. ]
4. wildcard [ feel free to hit me with something else if the above doesn't spark joy! i'm massively voicetesting so please don't mind the lack of kinklist and permissions 🥹 basically, f/m and f/f ok, but 18+ for anything going into spicy territory; cool with most things besides non-con. ada will lie, flirt, and talk her way out of anything to suit her needs, but she's mostly here to snoop. ]
[Leave one situation and tossed into another. At least on the scale of things, trapped in some gaudy hotel that's promoting everyone to bang like there's no tomorrow is maybe on the lower end if he was comparing it to bio terrorism.
Still, he's not exactly looking, even as he's pushed into a seat across from-]
That depends. You think these drinks could clean a wound in a pinch?
[It's almost comical. The staff seemed to had gotten Leon all dressed up for his date, but they didn't bother to clean him up. The dirt, sweat, and blood still lingers on his face, though his hands are clean. Expected, given how he only recently took his gloves off to slip a band back onto his finger.]
[ it's the voice first that she registers, lower in timbre than she remembers, but she'd recognize that anywhere. and then it's his face—a lot older than she remembers it being the last time she'd seen him. ada's usual impassive countenance fractures briefly with surprise, there and gone again, before it smooths back into something more neutral. ]
Someone had to have ordered vodka, [ she says, more automatic than anything else. ] But I think you'll need a little more than that.
[ this whole thing is just to get a date, isn't it? as long as they leave together, they could get him cleaned up properly. ]
[Maybe he's just too exhausted at the moment to be surprised. Ada looks younger than she should be. He can only guess what could possibly be the reason, but maybe he'll find out why soon enough. After all, Ada does love her air of mystery and games.
If anything, he looks relieved though. It's been a long last few days and seeing her feels like a breath of fresh air after the smell of rotting flesh, dust, and blood had been his constant companion.
He scoffs, though a ghost of a smile lingers on his lips.] Actually, I'm feeling pretty great right now. Out of all the people I tango'd with the last few days, I don't think I can complain this time. Our mysterious benefactors deserves a tip.
This isn't even them being pushy... You must be new here.
[He can't help but laugh at his current date's comment. It just seems so funny to him that he'd have agreed with her once, that this was terribly pushy, setting people up together on a get to know you date without their consent.
Now, he thinks of it as possibly the most benign thing this place could be forcing them into.
He gives a nod of his head at their beverages.]
You're in luck though, I'm sure the drinks are the highest quality you could ask for.
[Especially being sat with a King rank like him...]
[ oh? kazuya laughs and something in ada's eyes glitters, there and gone as she leans in towards the table, one long leg crossing over the other. she took a gamble on this young man; she's still feeling the resort out, but she's observed the guests long enough now that she's starting to get the vibes of what the higher ranks might be like. ]
Is it that obvious that I'm new? [ she demurs, her smile turning a touch softer. ] But you're right, I am. And I have a hunch that you're not.
[ there's a glass of red wine in front of her, an unfamiliar brand, but she'd watched them take it down from the top shelf. one of the royal ranks, perhaps. ]
Yeah. If you're here longer than a month, this kind of thing is pretty much the least pushiest the resort can be. You just missed us being assigned families and spouses, sorry to say.
[It's a good guess that he's not new, even if by his words it's fairly obvious at this point.]
I've been here two years myself now. There's been a bunch of crazy stuff that's happened, but this is pretty much the least of it. I'd say watch out for laced food and drink too, since that can be common as well. The stuff right now is probably safe, though, since it's being served to us specifically... Not always a guarantee, though.
[She's someone that moves in the shadows. Akira can recognize it, because he so often does the same.
He watches the whole incident go down; the resistance, the trip, the commotion. Their gazes lock, and he watches her melt away. Akira knows the times to keep his head down, so he doesn't follow after right away. Cleans the table not directly involved, letting time steadily tick away, before finally making his own detour to the back.
It doesn't take long for him to find her between rooms, about to enter another. He leans up against the wall, demeanor mild if curious.]
Looks like the party finally got a little livelier out there. Is this more to your taste?
[ as he cleans the table, he may notice one of the "pets" who had been reluctantly chained to her master scamper off, hopefully away from the party entirely. with his entourage of servants, it's easy to let one slip through the cracks.
by the time akira finds her, ada is refilling another tray of champagne in the hall right outside another room, a steady hand pouring an equal amount in each flute. she spares him a glance, recognition in her eyes before she turns her attention back to the champagne. painted lips curl briefly into a smile, something that seems to say who? me? ]
If we're talking about taste, I'd rather be soaking in a bath with a glass of wine instead. But I'm aware I seem to be the outlier here.
You might be surprised. I think there are plenty here who would choose that over this. Not everyone is content, even if people look like they're enjoying themselves.
[His tone is nice and even, polite for an adult still, as he exchanges his used towels for fresh ones. Conversational. There isn't exactly a significant change with what he says next- but his eyes do lift to look at her directly.]
Some might even be playing along until the time is right to do otherwise.
[He doesn't know her well enough to read whether she'll pick up that he's talking about himself, but it's fine if she doesn't. It's enough to pass on the information, and maybe it'll be something of a reassurance.]
[Unlike many of the other guests in the casino, Tyki doesn't appear to be gray with fatigue — at least not so far. Perhaps his tolerance is a little higher, given the circumstances and his own unique constitution; either way, he's glad to keep playing the role if it means he might earn a little extra cash. Never know when one might need the funds. And he's quite familiar with gambling, after all.
Yet this game demands a single partner, and he's feeling pickier about the choice. When the young woman passes by again, Tyki waves for her attention.]
Hi there. Want to take a break? I won't tell if you don't.
[He's seen this particular 'casino bunny' pass by a few times, carrying drinks to and fro, busy at work. And he's not shy to admit he's intrigued.]
[ the first thing she notices is the amber eyes, almost gold depending on how the light hits him. it's what makes her pause as she passes his table on her way to retrieve another tray, and her lips curl into a brief smile, dark eyes lingering on the angles of his face; the breadth of his shoulders. ]
Playing hooky? [ there's something assessing in her gaze, but whatever it is she was looking for, she seems to find it. she slides into the seat across from him, crossing one long, fish-netted leg over the other. ] You're a bad influence, aren't you.
[ not that it sounds like she's complaining, a little current of playfulness slipping into her tone. ]
[ Date is here. Date is, in fact, a high rank guest who is dressed in a nice tux and watching things go down as he sips on his glass of bourbon and lets out a soft "huh" when the food goes flying. What a shame. Definitely not his business though. And when Ada is close enough to hear him, he'll comment — ]
Glad it wasn't me.
[ That was the target of her attack, of course. He's just a guy, who is at a party, completely innocent. ]
[ that is a very nice tux indeed. another high rank guest, most likely, but curiously without a pet... maybe they're separated for now. the expression on her face softens briefly, long lashes fluttering at his remark. ]
What wasn't you? [ she offers her tray of champagne to him. ] More champagne?
[ she's just a girl, who is serving at a party, completely innocent. ]
[ That makes his lips curl upwards, catlike, and he sets down his empty glass of bourbon on her tray to exchange it for a flute of champagne instead. A tilt of the tip of the glass to her in acknowledgement. ]
Mm, wildcard?
[ He's asking her, since he hasn't seen her before so... she must be new. ]
