【 Thank you for choosing the Golden Peacock, 5-star resort and casino. You are currently registered as a WILDCARD in our system.
Due to a high volume of check-ins, temporary accommodations have been made in our mid-rank suites for all new arrivals. We ask current mid-rank guests to welcome any new arrivals that may temporarily be assigned to their room while we process reservations.
Exciting news! The Phoenix Casino has undergone a renovation. Guests are invited to come enjoy refreshed facilities, games, and lounges. We don't think you'll ever want to leave!
Additionally, the casino will be hosting an upper rank soiree at the end of the month. All guests rank 9 and above are invited to attend. Any +1s of low rank may only attend as a pet or personal attendant. Otherwise, low ranks are not welcome.
We aim to have all guests moved into their suites as soon as possible. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience! 】

Date's just been lounging back, watching Gabriel ever since they were paired together here. He has a glass of bourbon and an amused look on his face as the other man gets distracted by the cards, starting to look through them and reading what they say. He sips his bourbon, easy as can be, and considers interrupting the guy.
What an interesting guy too. Way too tall. Weird mask. What the hell is going on? The Golden Peacock sure can pick 'em, huh? So, Date tilts his head for a moment and asks, "Alright, did you settle on one yet?"
It's a novelty, in all honesty, to be near a living human again. It is in fact, somewhat distracting, with Gabriel consistently looking up and away from the cards to glance at Date as if he half expected him to evaporate on the spot if he took his eyes off the man.
Has he been quiet too long? He's been quiet too long. This shouldn't be this awkward, how did humans do this shit? He's never had a single casual moment in his entire life, let alone a date-
"Ah..." Finally, a card is shuffled out of the deck, with the rest of them pushed pointedly aside. "Yes I think I found a decent one, ah... What question do you have that nobody has been able to give you a good answer to?"
Date hears the question, still just relaxing here as Gabriel goes through his crisis of crises. He continues to sip his drink and considers his answer. Right. Hm.
"I guess the obvious one is why can't we leave? Still haven't heard a good answer from the House on that one." Anything more personal, he's not willing to share right now, no matter how interesting looking this guy is.
"That... Is an excellent question." He frowns, actually considering it.
"I suppose that would rely on getting an answer for why we're here to begin with." Which logically lead to- "Do you know the answer to that, at least?" There's a faint hopeful uptick to the query. "You seem fairly relaxed, all things considered. I can only assume you must be familiar with this place. At least, more familiar than I am."
There's a shake of his head from Date. No, he doesn't have an answer on why they're stuck here, and he wishes he did, but he's also just kind of rolling with it because he's been here for a few months now. Why fight the tide, right?
"Nah, there's not really anyone around to give an answer either. Even the long term guests don't really know. But yeah, I'm pretty familiar. I've been here for about four months? Not as long as some people though so I'd still consider myself fairly new."
"Only four months? How long have the oldest guests been here for?" Well gosh, he almost sounded perky about that. Granted, four months was... a great deal longer than what he'd have personally estimated for himself. For a major, singular reason, but at this point he'd already somehow made it past twenty four hours and hadn't dropped dead yet.
Four months was nothing, if he didn't have to die.
"I understand the entire point of this ah... meeting, is to facilitate romantic activities but you'll have to forgive me for utilizing this for different means. I have several questions in regards to here that I'd like to have answered and if I'm to be frank, you're the first person I've been able to speak to for more than a few minutes.
You wouldn't mind if I steered the topic towards more productive goals, do you?" He's going to do it anyway, but at least he's asking first.
