【 Thank you for choosing the Golden Peacock, 5-star resort and casino. You are currently registered as a WILDCARD in our system.
Due to a high volume of check-ins, temporary accommodations have been made in our mid-rank suites for all new arrivals. We ask current mid-rank guests to welcome any new arrivals that may temporarily be assigned to their room while we process reservations.
Exciting news! The Phoenix Casino has undergone a renovation. Guests are invited to come enjoy refreshed facilities, games, and lounges. We don't think you'll ever want to leave!
Additionally, the casino will be hosting an upper rank soiree at the end of the month. All guests rank 9 and above are invited to attend. Any +1s of low rank may only attend as a pet or personal attendant. Otherwise, low ranks are not welcome.
We aim to have all guests moved into their suites as soon as possible. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience! 】

[She sighs dramatically, laughing as she leans back against the chair.]
Of course it isn't. All men are interested in wine. And if they aren't, they pretend to be to sound more interesting than they are, which really defeats the purpose.
[ He motions with one hand at the table between them where a pair of wine glasses now sit, freshly poured. Had he hidden his tentacles to make a silly little presentation just to amuse them both? Maybe. But what's the point of having illusions if it wasn't to use them for some fun? ]
I've read stories about a palace under the seas that I'd like to visit some day. Wherever it may be.
[ He smiles as she takes the wine, picking up his own glass with a light toast in her direction before he settles back into his chair for his story. His favorite part. ]
Once upon a time, there was a hero, sailing the high seas on a royal vessel in search of a legendary treasure. When one day, his ship was ambushed by an enormous, tentacled sea monster and everyone aboard was dragged down into the briny depths. When the hero awoke, he found himself lying on hard ground, but when he looked around he saw water flowing all around him, as if he were at the bottom of the sea. He realized he was breathing, but no bubbles came out of his mouth.
Getting up, he realized he was in the middle of a road that stretched out into the distance, ending in what appeared to be a large stairway. At the end of the stairway, there appeared to be the remains of a massive stone gate, mostly collapsed now.
As he started for the stairway, he felt as if he were being watched by countless eyes, but there was nothing around him. Losing his nerve, he began to run, realizing that the gazes he felt seemed to come from behind him, though still he saw no one.
He scrambled up dozens of the huge stones steps, but as he climbed, he began to notice that each step grew taller and wider as he went up. Spending more of his effort with each step, but still he continued forward. He didn't want whatever was behind him to catch up.
[He has her full attention. She tucks one hand underneath her chin as she leans forward to listen, her hands on her wine glass. She can imagine it, this beautiful underwater place, along with a strange sense of danger.]

And here I've been lacking in partners to enjoy a nice glass with. Perhaps I'll have to be more direct in my future invitations.
If that is not enough, then would an interest in the deep seas count?

Yes. Yes it would. Tell me more.
And we can drink wine while you tell me.

Well don't stop there!
