THE FLAME OF FORTUNE

► The Phoenix Casino has been reborn in a sea of red. Cool tones have been replaced with brilliant bursts of warmth, from rugs to hanging decor. Long-standing guests, thrilled with the unexpected update, have flooded the casino with renewed vigor. Four large cards, a King of each suit, hang overhead and watch the masses below with unsettling gazes.

All clocks have been removed. Time flows strangely, blending hours and minutes, making it difficult to judge how long one has spent inside. Yet the long-standing guests do not seem to care, tirelessly gambling and hitting the slot machines, some to the point of passing out right in the middle of the casino. There are times that some of the long-standing guests look particularly ghoulish, as if their souls have been drained away. Yet at other times, they look perfectly fine, back to gambling with relish.

► With the change of style comes a change of staff. It's a temporary measure since the usual servers have taken vacation en masse. New dealers have uncanny smiles and sharp eyes; they are quick to catch guests trying to cheat at the tables. These dealers are willing to take bets beyond chips, like days off a gambler's lifespan or increments of their power. The more drained guests become, the more energetic these dealers appear.

► The ghost hands are particularly active in this bright new casino. These meddlesome phantoms purposefully mess with the games to change the outcomes, give guests particularly embarrassing tasks, or to stir up trouble at the tables. They also rig some of the games to get the sexy outcomes they want, gleefully rubbing their floating selves together when they get their way. So, if your character's suddenly found themselves caught in a stroke of awful luck, there might be a ghostly culprit!

► Guests are not forced to stay in the casino for any particular length of time. They may come and go as they please. However, they may find that what feels like five minutes checking out the casino has actually been a day away from their room. If they spend too long in the casino, their energy will drain and they may feel light-headed, as if they've been sucked of their vigor to the point of fatigue.

WILDCARDS

► Due to several staff members taking their paid time off during an unexpected casino reno, managers snatch up the opportunity to put these new wildcards to work before they're properly sorted. They don't really count as guests yet, right? It's a dire situation. There's so much work to do and so few hands! With these excuses, desperate managers snatch wildcards from wherever they may be and throw them into open service positions throughout the casino.

► All wildcards dragged to work are required to dress up for their new job. Wait staff that serve drinks around the casino floor are required to dress as sexy casino bunnies. Entertainers who dance and strip for the amusement of casino guests are required to dress up as feathered show-birds. Janitors that scrub stains out of the carpets must be topless and wear sexy maid-style bottoms, either a skirt or butler trousers. They're asked to fill every role aside from dealers, since those positions have been filled by the house.

► Though wildcards have been employed without consent, casino managers aren't totally heartless. Wildcards are only required to work 24 hours across the month for their new job and these 24 hours do not need to be consecutive. Once they've hit the threshold, they will receive their meager pay and a few resort vouchers.

► Wildcards aren't the only guests being dragged into work. Low Ace cards (aces that downgraded into their rank) have also been conscripted to work. Though they're not required to work as many hours as wildcards, the long-standing guests are particularly handsy with them given their special status.

A BATHROOM HOLD-UP

► Bathrooms have been decorated with various paintings and artwork. Nothing amiss happens when a guest enters, but when they try to leave, they may find that the door refuses to budge. All of the portraits will take the opportunity to observe the guest trying to leave, but one of two portraits will take control and demand:

Sinners dare step into MY washroom? Don't think you can leave without confessing your crimes! Those who have trampled upon virtue should be heavily punished. And I ... I will observe this punishment be dispensed. To see it is done right. Ahem.

▷ Judgmental John will demand that guests trapped in his bathroom confess one of their sins, crimes, or sources of guilt. Each stuck guest will be prompted to confess and then they together must decide whose crime is worse. Judgmental John will then preside over the executioner, the guest with the lesser crime, punishing the guest with the worse crime.

▷ While Judgmental John has perverted intentions with his demand and will encourage sexy punishing, he will reluctantly accept any kind of punishment the executioner decides to dole out.

▷ If your character has met Judgmental John before he will definitely remember them. This portrait never forgets a face!

Aren't you cute? Show us some flirting, give us a treat! We'll let you go after you entertain us a bit. What do we like? Anything charming, anything sweet. Even confessions will do! It gets so lonely in here. Imagine watching everyone do nothing but piss and shit before leaving. Don't we deserve some fun?

▷ The Teasing Trio are friendly and looking for a good time. They want to see cute or lightly spicy engagement between the guests they've caught in the restroom. They know how to have fun and aren't taking this trapping thing seriously.

▷ Anything like holding hands, love confessions, emotional moments, and dewy-eyed passionate declarations will please them. It doesn't have to be real, it just has to satisfy their collective cute aggression.

▷ If your character has met the trio before... well, they won't remember. They're too taken up by gossiping with each other to remember everyone they've asked for some entertainment.

ROLLING HIGH

DIRTY DICE: WHOLESOME OR WHORE

A crowd favorite — Dirty Dice is back and as dirty as ever. The creators put their heads together to come up with funnier and more dynamic dice options to keep things interesting for players. This time, combinations include wholesome and whoreish options to create even more unique game tasks.

► The rules for Dirty Dice: Wholesome or Whore remain the same as last year. Players will be seated at a two-top (though group Dirty Dice games are also encouraged!) with a set of twelve-sided dice. The starting player rolls both dice. The action created with the dice must then be done to the opposing player — however, the rolling player does have the option to turn down the action. The second player will then roll the dice to create an action, also with the choice to turn down the action. Players continue to take turns until there is a winner.

► The first player to complete three actions will receive bragging rights, an extra large chip payout, and the resounding applause from the audience. Depending on which combinations are used to win the game, the winner may be crowned as cutely wholesome or top whore.

► Sex Toy Roulette is very easy to play. A player steps up to the wheel, grabs the handle, and gives it their best spin. Whatever the needle lands on when the wheel stops is what the player wins! Lucky ducks might land on one of the fabulous instant prizes which can be claimed immediately. Sexy slutty yet less lucky ducks land on one of the sex toy options.

► If the needle lands on one of the sex toy options the roulette manager will give the player the corresponding sex toy. LOUNGES

ROLLING LOW

THE PEACOCK LOUNGE

► Guests looking to get away from the flashing lights of the main casino can slip away to solace in the Peacock Lounge. The drinks are flowing, the food is good, and the music is calm. The Peacock Lounge offers guests a place to relax and unwind during their gambling escapades.

► While guests won't be pestered to play games or set bets inside the Peacock Lounge, they aren't completely free of the resort's antics. Everyone who comes into the Peacock Lounge will be set up on a casual date for the duration of their visit. Dates are completely randomized, with servers pairing guests at tables and matchmaking based upon their personal whims.

Guests will be paired with someone new every time they enter the lounge. It's a great way to meet people!

► Staff are well aware that not all guests are smooth enough to slide right into a date. All tables come with a set of DATE NIGHT QUESTIONS for guests to use. Waiters watch eagerly, leaning over and nudging the cards when it looks like a table might be in a lull or have fallen into awkward silence.

► All meals come in pair sets to encourage the date-like atmosphere. Given that the Peacock Lounge is the only place inside the casino offering food, it's either suck it up and be romantic with who you've been paired up with or go hungry.

DOWNSTAIRS DESIRE LOUNGE

► Pink neon signs point down several dark stairwells. Guests looking to fulfill a kink or fetish they may be reluctant to admit normally should go ahead and follow the arrows, because deep in the casino they'll find the Desire Lounge. This lounge is scarcely lit and cloaked in shadow, a place where the scent of sex is thick in the air. Discreet staff lead the way through padded pleasure rooms.

► All guests must wear a nondescript mask and promise to remain anonymous before entering the lounge. Here, anonymity and desire are king. Guests are here to seek out partners based solely upon sexual interests.

Sexual interests may not necessarily be BDSM or hard kinks. Upon arrival, guests will enter a desire into their Watches so the system can match them with an appropriate partner. A lonely guest looking to be treated lovingly can enter their desire into the database, where they'll be matched with another guest whose desire is to dote upon a partner. Dominants will be matched with submissives. Sadists will be matched with masochists. Guests with matching fetish play will be paired together.

All rooms are dimly lit to help keep encounters anonymous and discreet. Guests are required to keep their masks on and are advised to avoid asking questions about their partner. There might even be blindfolds involved, for either one party or both, depending upon the desire being fulfilled.

Staff, however, won't be inside the pleasure room with the couple during the act. They won't know what rules are bent and broken.

A ROYAL NIGHT

HIGH RANK SOIREE

FOR THE UPPER CRUST

► All royal and high rank guests will receive an invite for a royal evening in the casino at the end of the month. Rank 9 and higher, all aces included, are encouraged to dress up and come for a night of drinking, dancing, and indulging with their peers. The royal ranks are the real stars of this star-studded evening but 10s and 9s are tolerated as the bottom of the top.

► Guests rank 8 and below may only attend if they are accompanying a high rank as either their leashed pet or obedient servant. Wildcards are lumped in with the low ranks for this event since they are not yet assigned a real rank.

Bringing a wildcard as a pet or servant earns social points with the long-standing guests, since they're new and unknown. Bringing several pets and/or servants also earns social points. Not bringing any servants or pets is laughable, and high ranks that show up without any companions will be gossiped about and snickered at.

► If they choose to bring a pet or servant, high ranks are encouraged to dress them up to show off their status and wealth. Even if you're dressed well, you can't be that well off if your pet is dressed slovenly or your servant is in a simple white shirt and pants. It's also a show of ownership, claiming them as your personal property by dressing them in your style.

► It's encouraged for high ranks to trade pets and servants for the evening. What's some sharing amongst peers? It's an excellent way for high ranks to get a taste of something new, be it taming someone else's pet for a while or being waited upon by someone else's servant. Sharing isn't mandatory, but those unwilling to trade will be expected to put on a public display with their +1 for everyone else to enjoy.

SERVE AND SATISFY

► Low ranks that attend the party as a +1 are expected to behave properly and entertain the high ranks. Pets must be leashed the entire time and servants must stay at their master's side, unless temporarily swapped to another high rank. They can attend with PC or NPC high ranks.

► Coming as a +1 isn't the only way for a low rank to get into the party. The casino is still short-staffed, after all! Low ranks may also be employed as waiters to tend to the high ranks. Though their job first and foremost is to serve food and drink, should they catch a high rank's eye, they must do anything that high rank wants of them. This includes sexual favors, be it offering themselves up or servicing the high rank in question.

► The expectation is to behave, but the high ranks so love training and disciplining an unruly low rank. Any +1 or waiter that does not submit to the dominance of a high rank will be punished to their satisfaction, either by their own hand or another. All +1s and waiters will be warned about this before being allowed to enter. Can't say you didn't know!

► Pets, servants, and waiters may be traded for high ranks to enjoy. They may also be ordered to fuck each other publicly for the high ranks to watch. Low ranks with better status, such as ranks 8 and 7, have a bit more leeway and sway with the high ranks. Bottom barrel low ranks may be freely used and ordered about, even by higher ranked pets/servants/waiters.

[ When they awaken someplace different, there is confusion. It's crowded, noisy, and stale, bustling with too much activity and a smell they can only associate with human excess. It's disgusting! Deplorable! It's worse than that gloomy, run-down kingdom of Kagami; it's worse than the magic circle within that detestable witch. Yet—

There's a renewed sense of freedom. Like the dominion of witch over majik is gone. Could this be? Has Ichi the witch perished? Bakugami can't help but feel giddy at the prospect. This could be their second chance! A new offering to the Lord World Hater! This time, they won't fail! ]

I. SKIPPING WORK

[ Their magic isn't working. The hugs do nothing. There's an awareness, nagging at the back of their mind, that their rules have somehow changed. How is that possible? They've never heard of it before. It's nothing short of complete and utter nonsense!

Trundling along the halls of the Golden Peacock is a black-and-white tapir. Inside, they're fuming, but the animal resembles nothing more than an innocent, adorable bundle of affection. Isn't it precious? Don't you simply want to scoop it up in your arms? While that might be a reason for Bakugami's transformation, it was equally the result of being hassled near the casino, harangued with demands of servitude and utterly tasteless outfits.

Deplorable. No thank you. At least an animal can't be conscripted into service. ]

II. PASSING JUDGMENT

[ They're trapped. Their exploration had led them to the bathroom, and when they turned around to leave, the door was stuck fast to the frame. No amount of wrenching had made it budge, and Bakugami is direly low on sorrow to be launching any significant attacks. Trapping them in the bathroom of all places?! With some enchanted painting making demands of them?! Their unruffled mask crumbles. Why even pretend in front of a damn ignorant painting? They've just about had enough of this godforsaken place! ]

Sin? Crime? Don't spout that drivel! I have nothing to confess! The world would be better off without humanity, and I'm supposed to feel bad for wiping out a country of gullible, spineless fools?! Becoming an offering for the Lord World Hater would've been the greatest feat they performed in all their miserable lives! Now open the door this instant, you sorry excuse for an artwork!

[ Oh, they are getting up close and personal with that painting, snarling into its canvas. Hi, were you listening? ]

III. ROULETTE

[ Were there rules attached to idly spinning this roulette wheel? Well, surely it can't be applied to them—it's not a pact, it's not an order, merely some text displayed on the Watch device. As a majik with little interest in this base, human debauchery, they shortly abandon the roulette wheel and the "prize" they were so "fortunate" to win. A decision that would certainly come around to bite them in the ass.

A few hours in and they feel—unwell. Unreasonably hot, damp, unsettled. Their thoughts are wandering, attracted to the possibilities of physical sensation and touch. They've been around long enough to grit their teeth and rebel against the implications of these feelings—they're a majik! These droll human instincts have nothing to do with them! There's no way they'll give in to those temptations. There's a fix, surely. Somewhere.

Unceremoniously, they reach for the nearest passerby, padded fingers snagging a shirt or a sleeve. Human or otherwise, this... issue is far too pressing to be choosy. ]
