We are thrilled to announce that the Golden Peacock will be embracing autumn with a special outing. Current and new guests are invited to join us for a refreshing outdoor experience where participants can unplug, unwind, and connect with nature. During this time, all Watches will be disabled to the most basic functions (texting, calls, checking chip account) in order to encourage guests to disconnect.

CAMPING
GETTING OFF THE GRID
As the resort moves into what it claims is autumn, the days grow shorter. The projected sun in the Vale sets in the afternoon, after which a faint chill falls. Then there’s the most excessive transformation of all – a portion of the Vale has transformed into a campground complete with a scenic lake, seemingly overnight. Statues nearby have been dressed up with flannel jackets and suspenders. Folksy banjo fills the air without any discernible source.
A section of the campgrounds have been reserved for tents. These tents vary in size, shape, and supplies. All tents, regardless of quality, are supplied with sex toys and lube. Staff and long-standing guests all agree — pretending to live in the wilderness and 'rough it' for a while is thrilling. This is what the peasants feel like all the time!

HOME ON THE RANGE
Welcome to the Peacock Campgrounds! Nicknamed the Stomping Grounds by long-standing guests. Rustic and right off a sparkling lake, guests will find everything they need to live in the wilderness. Staff have expertly set up fire pits, benches, hammocks, and a wooden shed to act as a tool depository. There's even an outhouse, which is a real novelty to many of the long-standing guests. Do they just... squat over that hole and do their business? How wild!
Unlike previous resort-sponsored excursions, guests are expected to manage without the help of staff. That pile of wood won't be replenished once used; guests will have to go chop down trees and split their own. Food won't magically appear in their tents regardless of rank. Camping is all about living off the land. Though staff make themselves scarce to make the experience feel real, they lurk in the shadows, discreetly providing necessary tools and fixing broken equipment so guests won't struggle too much. It isn't fun if it's real hardship, after all!

ACTIVITIES
TWO WEEKS OF ROUGHING IT
Camping can't be all about survival. Where's the fun in that? Before 'leaving', the staff arrange activities and events for guests to enjoy. A wooden bulletin board outlines times for group hikes, camping experiences, and wilderness delights. Adirondack chairs line the edge of the lake and a few tire swings hang over the water, tied to strong tree branches. For the first week and a half the weather is pleasant and sunny. Perfect for camping.
At night, acoustic guitars and other wooden instruments come out so that guests can make music around the bonfire. Projected stars dapple the night sky, forming various constellations sourced from guest worlds. The moon enters a different phase each night, shining a gentle silver across the campgrounds. Why not pull your sweetheart in and cuddle beneath the night sky? It's so romantic.

CALL OF THE WILD
Temperatures drop drastically at night as the camping excursion nears its end. Nights become so chilly that morning dew frosts over, crunching beneath guest feet. Every day the light and its warmth set a little bit earlier. Staff remain elusive and do not provide warmer blankets or clothes for guests, leaving them to cuddle for warmth or find other ways to sleep comfortably during nightly cold snaps.
The moon hits its apex on the final night of camping. Unlike the other nights, this full moon shines blood red. The Vale stills under this ominous sign, silent. Snowflakes begins to fall, spreading an endless clean sheet across the campgrounds. That reflected pink hue is inescapable.

His only resistance is out of playfulness and curiosity to see what the other man might do to ensure victory. And at some point, just the heaviness of a person on his lap has his body responding in ways that would make it difficult to comfortably run--which is what his words meant. There's likely not much time before Cale can feel the evidence of that beneath him.]
Tell me your suggestion since I like to have my hands free, and I think you'd prefer them free as well. [He laces his fingers together at the small of Cale's back, eyes closing to kiss him again but harder. There's less hesitation in the action the second time, his lips parting slightly to deepen it. Rude is usually big on planning and details, but he finds that he's acting entirely on his fleeting impulses. Reno would might this character development..]

So Cale shifts, even as hands find their way to his back. It's partially because he doesn't want to lose feeling in his legs, but even Cale is aware what shifting his weight can do when bodies are pressed closed. ]
I have a tent, as you can see, and I don't mind having a little bit of fun instead of playing the whole catch and release game.
[ He doesn't necessarily want to be tied up either, but these tents come with plenty of things to do instead. Cale might be a meticulous planner, but he also knows when to roll with things. So when the next kiss comes, he invites it, hands cupping Rude's jaw and tilting his head for a better angle. ]

Which tent is yours? [And in the meanwhile his hands guide Cale to move over his lap to provide him some friction and relief while they kiss. One of his hands disappears under the front of the other man's shirt, feeling over warm skin then raking down to catch in the waist of his trousers where he works at whatever buttons, zippers, or fastenings might be there.]

[ As in, in the "elements," simulated or artificially created as they were. So while Rude is very free to work at the simple clasps of Cale's slacks, the red head is sliding off of that lap and snatching up a hand to go to the tent instead. ]

Outside in nature is different than outside in a city.
[He's mostly teasing, already getting up and having to awkwardly adjust himself in his shorts on the walk there. Rude didn't need the hand up, but took it to be polite, and only let go so they could unzip the tent before entering. Without being asked he does the honors of zipping it closed, leaving his shoes and socks on the outside.]

[ Oh it's less a nice and polite handhold. It is more Cale dragging that man with a bit of a demand until reaching that tent and kicking off shoes and everything that could drag "nature" into that tent. Inside is pretty basic, of course. Sleeping bag. Pillow. A solar lantern that bathes the area in a soft white light. There are some toys and other things that have been shoved into a corner of the tent. ]
It's not really the wildlife I was concerned about.
[ Now the question is, how much restraint is Rude going to continue to have? Because he will be dragging the man down to him. ]

Luckily, your comfort is my current priority. [Rude moves closer, coaxing Cale to lie back though he wasn't expecting him to drag him along for the ride. He doesn't resist, though. His lips find a spot under his chin, kissing his way down to a collar bone as one of his hands travel between them to the front of the slighter man's pants, fingers feeling over the shape of him curiously.]
Do you have any concerns in here? [He glances at the toys in the corner, brows raised. Were those provided by the resort or did Cale bring his own along?]

Then maybe I made the right call. I do enjoy not having to work too hard.
[ Rude doesn't need to worry as Cale is already growing hard under the touch and those kisses. He even breaths a sigh through his nose, hands wandering down the slopes and planes of the other man's back. There's a slight shiver once lips touch neck and collarbone, but he already is enjoying himself and the attention.
Right up until - Oh. Cale looks over towards the corner and huffs. ]
