【 Thank you for choosing the Golden Peacock, 5-star resort and casino. You are currently registered as a WILDCARD in our system. We have arranged for a selection of basement suites to temporarily house new arrivals until reservations have been processed. We hope you'll join us in giving our new guests a warm and loving welcome.
We have an exciting announcement! The house will be hosting a carnival for all guests to celebrate the Golden Peacock's birthday. Please look forward to food, games, and attractions in the Cloud-Dwelling Garden. The carnival will be available for guests to enjoy for seven days. Happy birthday week, Golden Peacock*!
We hope you are as thrilled as we are! And, as always, we hope you enjoy your stay.
*Please note that this is an arbitrarily chosen date for the Golden Peacock's birthday, which is unknown. 】
▶ All characters on the TDM are WILDCARDS, which means they have not yet been assigned a card value. Suits will not manifest until characters are accepted into the game.
▶ All TDMs are game canon and this TDM acts as the game's July event. The carnival will run July 15th - July 22nd.
▶ The top level directory is for new characters only. We want to make sure new characters are prioritized and receive attention! If you would be interested in a game invitation, you can note that in your comment header. We also have a summer ATP / EMP where players can connect. Please feel free to utilize this for all of your peafowl needs!
▶ If you aren't satisfied with these prompts, please feel free to check out our LOCATIONS to explore more of the resort!
▶ Smut threads that take place on this TDM can be used for rewards. If both parties in the smut thread join the game, you may retroactively apply the character's initial card values to your 52 bank. If one character does not join the game the thread will not be applicable toward rewards (as that character would not have a card value). The character that does join would still receive a small payout for the encounter. Hopefully it was a fun thread regardless!
▶ We ask you to kindly add content warnings to your threads as appropriate.
▶ If you do not currently have permissions and kinks listed in your character’s journal we suggest leaving a note in your top level of any limits or boundaries for other players to reference.
[Red eyes turn lazily towards Texas as she speaks her warning, studying her Aura with curious eyes. Blistering reds and subdued oranges, the strangest pink edges covering her body. It’s a vaguely familiar mix, but Aurelia hardly cares. This whole festival has bled enough emotional energy into the air that she’s been wandering around in a light daze, a second-hand high keeping a light smile on her face and preventing anything as base as ‘concern’ from touching her thoughts. She steps closer to Texas instead, idly calling out.]
Why do you say that? I assure you, there is not threat to me here.
(it was concern, she feels. strange. this isn't a good strange, not the mix of obsession and desire. possession. it dimly reminds her of lappland, lappland and her own whims. her own obsession. her suit mark couldn't be blamed, this time. the blame is solely on those tokens. but cellinia, or rather texas, wouldn't know about that. not about what it was causing for her to hold it. much less that they chose to do this with the tokens for a "fun" game for those unfortunate enough to obtain one.
it's agitating. the feeling. she doesn't like how it burrows beneath her skin, a bit of demands for her to act upon desires that were not something texas likes to indulge in. she isn't lappland, she isn't. she didn't want to do things the way that her childhood friend might have, depending with violence being an option to every plan she had.
that's what makes this so discomforting for her.)
Because I'm not feeling well.
(she doesn't know what aurelia can see, but texas can admit this.)
[Aurelia sweeps closer, tone gone flatter as she goes through what seems to be a well practiced routine. Invading Texas’s space and reaching up to place the back of her hand against her forehead, peering into her eyes for a heartbeat before sweeping her gaze downwards. Lingering on her throat for a long moment before continuing onwards.]
You feeling unwell is no reason for me to run. No fever, normal pupil dilation, elevated heartrate… no visible injuries. You’re not drugged, sick or injured. What’s going on?
[Aurelia may not count herself as a healer, but as an alchemist and a necromancer she has a familiarity with biology that rivals any doctors, and when she speaks her tone is one of practiced and professional concern.]
(illogical, something in that was agitating. describing the symptoms isn't easy, not even the sensation of broiling violence underneath her skin. seems the token reacts oddly with her spade mark. though that might be an intended effect, knowing the resort and the things that it does to its residents. its victims, among the unfortunate to be dragged into the golden peacock. she is only one among many, but this is a feeling she despises.
the pure aggravation of possessive desire. it's why, for a moment, she bristles at the closeness. a warning, a better warning. she's still a wolf. it didn't matter what kind of stripes texas wears, she's a wolf. they are not the ones to provoke, regardless of societal differences. which is why it comes as no surprise that she reacts by growling at her personal space being invaded. they're both lucky she has the restraint to not let loose.
she isn't lappland. that's the one thing that she can cling to, she isn't lappland. there didn't need to be physical signs of distress.)
It isn't like that. Something feels off, in the sense that I don't like it and I don't mean I'm sick.
(if looked at closely, the token could be seen in her hand. that might be their first hint, because of her inability to describe this feeling.)
[A hint of irritation crosses Aurelia’s face at the growl, Texas’s irritation bleeding over to her for a brief moment. She shakes it away, face returning to neutrality as she eyes the token being clutched in the lupo’s palm. It only takes her a few seconds to put it together, and she lets out a small disappointed sigh.]
Cursed then? One of the houses little tricks. [She points at the token, in case Texas hasn’t noticed it already. It’s the most reasonable assumption for her to make, if Texas is very suddenly feeling inexplicably ‘off’. ]
I’m going to have words with whoever keeps leaving those around. It’s almost insulting. Well, if you insist I’ll leave you to it… but if you can provide me some more details I’ll do my best to help you through it.
[She’s got a few guesses on what’s going on behind Texas’s golden eyes already, knowing the house’s preferences. Something lewd or boundary pushing almost certainly.]
Maybe, if you think you ought to stick around, then go for it. I only know it stirred when we locked eyes.
(problem is she can't say she likes this, it's discomforting. though that's not a surprise that she'd hate it. the house does these things too often, but texas did blink after aurelia pointed out the token. the warmth from it is fairly strong, the intense feeling of being uncomfortable, too. somehow....she should have expected that. figures. the house really did screw around with unassuming looking objects.
she couldn't guarantee she might stay calm, but they're both fine. for now. amber eyes go from the token then right back to the other woman with a frown shortly after. god. she really does have the worst luck with some parts of the resort, this also isn't counting the mating season deciding to make her life hell lately.)
Great. So now they're messing with objects like the gachapon machine I played with earlier.
(lovely. she'll have to figure out what to do, she'd prefer to not ruin aurelia's day as a start were something else to stir from these emotions. these feelings that were bound to be an annoyance for any poor unfortunate soul's day.)
