We have an exciting announcement! The house will be hosting a carnival for all guests to celebrate the Golden Peacock's birthday. ▶ All characters on the TDM are WILDCARDS, which means they have not yet been assigned a card value. Suits will not manifest until characters are accepted into the game.
▶ All TDMs are game canon and this TDM acts as the game's July event. The carnival will run July 15th - July 22nd.
▶ The top level directory is for new characters only. We want to make sure new characters are prioritized and receive attention! If you would be interested in a game invitation, you can note that in your comment header. We also have a summer ATP / EMP where players can connect. Please feel free to utilize this for all of your peafowl needs!
▶ If you aren't satisfied with these prompts, please feel free to check out our LOCATIONS to explore more of the resort!
▶ Smut threads that take place on this TDM can be used for rewards. If both parties in the smut thread join the game, you may retroactively apply the character's initial card values to your 52 bank. If one character does not join the game the thread will not be applicable toward rewards (as that character would not have a card value). The character that does join would still receive a small payout for the encounter. Hopefully it was a fun thread regardless!
▶ We ask you to kindly add content warnings to your threads as appropriate.
▶ If you do not currently have permissions and kinks listed in your character’s journal we suggest leaving a note in your top level of any limits or boundaries for other players to reference.
[ "As a new arrival." That makes it sound like this guy isn't new. Yet, as Lu Guang pulls his hand away and gives the other a once over? Either wearing robes Lu Guang's is totally cat themed is the norm or is this Sylvain newer?
So many questions.
For now, he just reaches out with his hand in return. At least Lu Guang knows what a handshake is. ]
[ Yeah, that was something else Sylvain had to learn here, but it seemed a common enough greeting in most universes. he'd adapted. But as he shakes Lu Guang's hand, he glances around their surroundings with a skeptical look. ]
Seems they've got us in one of their games or something. Although I haven't seen anything like this particular one before. Should we see if we can find the exit?
[ Well, he's more than capable of finding his way out of here. Without assistance. In fact, it would be better if he could be alone. With a photo of anywhere in this area. All he would need is one glance and - ]
Yeah. Staying here isn't an option.
[ But he doesn't want to stay here, that's for sure. ]
[ Because that might also determine the level of urgency he should have. Whatever the case, he really doesn't like the idea of being forced to do anything. Not after the last couple of months that he's had.
His eyes move back towards the door, frowning just a little. Lu Guang would prefer certainty thank you. ]
Well, this place's whole deal is getting their guests to get more... intimate. And it tends to pull a lot of tricks to facilitate that. Sometimes that's in innocent ways, setting up opportunities, hinting with surroundings. Other times... well, lets just say that sometimes the food and drink and even the air aren't all that trustworthy and trying to influence you to let go of your inhibitions.
[ Most people didn't like that answer. Nor Sylvain's excellent advice of "maybe don't have inhibitions here". That didn't usually last very long anyway for most people. ]
The left, huh? Alright, let's see how lucky your intuition is today.
[ Unconcerned about what they might find beyond, Sylvain strides forward without hesitation and opens the door Lu Guang had indicated.
It's not a way out, but it does lead to a room in deep colors of maroon and gold. A single table is set up in the middle of the room, with a pair of plush chairs facing each other. A single deck of cards rests atop the table. ]
Oh. This should be interesting. There's no other doors yet, so we probably have to do something before it will appear. Likely win a round of whatever this game is. At least these are usually relatively tame. [ Unless you're the easily embarrassed or scandalized type. ]
[ Intimate. No further explanation is really needed as to what Sylvain means by that. Given the fact that they are in robes - naked underneath - and the other's apparent familiarity with the location, it might be just that. Lu Guang doesn't especially know what to think about it, other than the fact it is somewhat uncomfortable. He doesn't like letting go of control. ]
I'm sure that news doesn't go over very well.
[ That's all he'll really say on it. Rather, his attention is on the door and following Sylvain through it. Looks like his luck, for now, is not that great. Looks like they are further inside instead of one step closer to getting out. Maybe. He doesn't know what "deeper" looks like here.
So he circles the table, fingers running over the back of one of the chairs. ]
Depends on the person, honestly. Some take it better than others.
[ Control - and the loss of it - is one of the biggest challenges in this place, in Sylvain’s opinion. Maybe because he also struggles with that. He’d learned to adapt enough to focus on the things he did have control over.
But right now, he crosses over to the table and eyes the back of the cards facing upwards, and the three words printed on the back in fancy gold lettering. ]
It’s not your typical card game. [ Which has him lifting his gaze and giving Lu Guang a playful wink. ] Truth or Dare?
[ That's the reality of it, sure. Everyone has different preferences. This particular situation, however, Lu Guang doesn't think he's fully processed yet for himself. He doesn't really know where he stands when it comes to this sort of thing. So Lu Guang's thoughts are that he'll play it out by ear.
Which is why he takes a seat, staring at the cards. ]

Although they usually do a little better at indicating which game we're stumbling deeper into. Have any strong feelings about a particular door?
