【 Thank you for choosing the Golden Peacock, 5-star resort and casino. You are currently registered as a WILDCARD in our system. We have arranged for a selection of basement suites to temporarily house new arrivals until reservations have been processed. We hope you'll join us in giving our new guests a warm and loving welcome.
We have an exciting announcement! The house will be hosting a carnival for all guests to celebrate the Golden Peacock's birthday. Please look forward to food, games, and attractions in the Cloud-Dwelling Garden. The carnival will be available for guests to enjoy for seven days. Happy birthday week, Golden Peacock*!
We hope you are as thrilled as we are! And, as always, we hope you enjoy your stay.
*Please note that this is an arbitrarily chosen date for the Golden Peacock's birthday, which is unknown. 】
▶ All characters on the TDM are WILDCARDS, which means they have not yet been assigned a card value. Suits will not manifest until characters are accepted into the game.
▶ All TDMs are game canon and this TDM acts as the game's July event. The carnival will run July 15th - July 22nd.
▶ The top level directory is for new characters only. We want to make sure new characters are prioritized and receive attention! If you would be interested in a game invitation, you can note that in your comment header. We also have a summer ATP / EMP where players can connect. Please feel free to utilize this for all of your peafowl needs!
▶ If you aren't satisfied with these prompts, please feel free to check out our LOCATIONS to explore more of the resort!
▶ Smut threads that take place on this TDM can be used for rewards. If both parties in the smut thread join the game, you may retroactively apply the character's initial card values to your 52 bank. If one character does not join the game the thread will not be applicable toward rewards (as that character would not have a card value). The character that does join would still receive a small payout for the encounter. Hopefully it was a fun thread regardless!
▶ We ask you to kindly add content warnings to your threads as appropriate.
▶ If you do not currently have permissions and kinks listed in your character’s journal we suggest leaving a note in your top level of any limits or boundaries for other players to reference.
[ He gives Olivine's hand a squeeze as he turns back to where he'd left the blue lantern. Although he takes a moment to just stare at it, before bending and retrieving it once more.
He doesn't say a word, just closes his eyes as he focuses on the wish - prayer? - going still. And then, releasing the lantern to float upwards, he takes a step back and watches it float upwards. ]
[The moment is quiet, somber. There's no need to speak anyway between wishes and memories. Watching the two lanterns float away, Olivine takes a slow breath, sighing it out and reaching for Sylvain's hand again. It doesn't do much to help with the heavy feeling, serving more as a reminder that they're not alone.
When it feels less poignant, his voice finally cuts softly through the quiet.]
[ He twines his fingers with Olivine's, giving the priest's hand a gentle squeeze as his gaze tracks the progress of his lantern. But finally, he drags his gaze away, a slow exhale leaving him as he musters a small smile for Olivine, even as he shakes his head. ]
At the moment? I don't think the where matters much. Somewhere quiet, I think.
[It's easy to agree with the assessment, and he squeezes Sylvain's hand.]
The garden has a new display of night flowers, it should be a good place to relax. There's my room, too, although... we would probably have to avoid a few people on the way. If we're lucky, they'll be drawn to the festivities instead.
[ He's not ready to go back to the rooms yet. not to mention he's not sure he has one. he hasn't missed that there's something wrong with his House tattoo, especially because he's currently being treated like a Wildcard all over again. ]
[that receives a nod, and Olivine laces his fingers with Sylvain's without a second thought. granted, he'd meant his room, far removed from... where it was, but he's more than happy to go anywhere with him.]
Mm, well you'll probably be relieved that you missed last month. The whole place turned into a cruise ship and it was blistering hot, sort of like the time with the mer-creatures. Before that, there was a... film company, I think? Something like that. And there was some kind of fantasy game, sort of similar to the hunt we went through last year.
[he has to laugh as they walk, shaking his head.]
There's probably more I've forgotten, since I was a little... out of sorts at first. Oh—after Eiden disappeared, another of the clan members arrived. His name is Quincy, he's a quiet man and often calls things troublesome, but he's very sweet anyway.
[ He gives Olivine's hand a squeeze, still trying to wrap his head around the disappearances himself. Basch's hurts the hardest, cuts the deepest, but he'd been deeply fond of Eiden as well. ]
I'm sorry I wasn't here. [ he adds softly a moment later, glancing over to give Olivine a serious look. ]
[Olivine's smile is wan at the apology, answering it by leaning gently into the taller man's side as they walk. The buzz of the main resort fades significantly as the scenery shifts, though he barely notices.]
You would have been, if you could have. [without looking away from Sylvain, his free hand drifts to his hip, where their tattoo is.] And I had a reminder, when it was at its worst. You were still here with me.
[ He frees their tangles fingers, but only so he can wrap his arm around Olivine's shoulder, tugging him closer and tucking him in snugly against his side as they walk. Leaning over, he presses a kiss against Olivine's temple. ]
I'm glad you had it to remind you. But I hate the thought of you grieving when I wasn't here to watch over you.
[ He's mostly thinking about Eiden, because he remember how hard Olivine had taken it the last time. ]
[His head tips up, more just to look at Sylvain than to ease the action, but it certainly doesn't hurt that either.]
Sylvain... I was alright, really. Relatively, of course... knowing there's always a chance for anyone to return helps, too.
[He almost says something about it being weird if he was around for Olivine grieving his disappearance, but stops himself short of it. Not now, not like this.]
If you really feel the need to make up for it, you could stay with me for a few days, once everything settles down?
[As always, he really doesn't need much... just the people he loves nearby. And, moreover—]
I do still have that collar I was going to show you, too.
Well, considering I'm currently a Wildcard and have no idea where that puts me - or what might have happened to all my stuff - I might need to take you up on that.
[ Does he even still have a room upstairs? He hadn't wanted to go up and look. he wasn't ready to face what might be missing yet. ]
That's right, you do. Refresh my memory? [ Some of the events in the last few days he can remember are still a little hazy, as if fogged over by that creeping coldness he'd been woken from. ] Did I miss anything else important with you?
You're always welcome to stay in my room. [He exhales a laugh at that, humming softly.] I meant... I selfishly want to keep you to myself for a while.
[It isn't that selfish, but he doesn't think twice about calling it such.]
Mmn, it was the one I mentioned I was working on, in the letter with your gift during this place's winter festivities. I was stuck on it for a time, so it was only recently finished. [The last question has him tilting his head thoughtfully, raking back through the past few months.] mmn... nothing in particular, I think. I'm a king rank now, I think that's the only really... notable change.

[ He has no idea what a film company is, Olivine.
He listens avidly as the priest explains, though, expression interested when Olivine talks about someone from home. ]
I think I remember Eiden mentioning him at one point. I’m glad you had someone else here familiar at least.

the comment about the heat earns a soft giggle, of course.]
That was my thought, at the time. It was much like my home in Klein in the summer.
[as the scenery passes by, he pays it... really no attention, at least until they reach the threshold of the gardens. how could he?]
It was a relief to be sure it was him, yes. Although... it's somewhat bittersweet to think about them appearing each time Eiden disappears.

A king, huh? Well, look at you, your Highness. I guess that means I'm going to get glared at even more for daring to hang around with royalty hmm?
