【 Thank you for choosing the Golden Peacock, 5-star resort and casino. You are currently registered as a WILDCARD in our system.
Due to a high volume of check-ins, temporary accommodations have been made in our parking garage for all new arrivals. We aim to have all guests moved into their reserved rooms as soon as possible. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience!
All are invited to There Is No Tomorrow, a Phoenix Casino soiree to celebrate our beloved guests. The festivities will begin at 1800 hours on January 20th and end at 1800 hours on January 27th. Please look forward to 168 hours of delight.
In an effort to raise happiness and encourage better guest relationships, attendance is required. The house will assist guests that are too shy to appear of their own accord. Please note that black tie attire is mandatory. As always, we hope you enjoy your stay! 】
PARKING GARAGE
ANY CAR IN A STORM
PHOENIX CASINO HALL
WELCOME TO THE NEXT 168 HOURS
Phoenix Casino is a-flutter with activity and packed to the beak with guests. As a famously ever-changing space, the staff would be remiss if they didn't deck the crown jewel of the Golden Peacock out. The casino glitters from top to bottom, shining brighter than diamonds, rubies, sapphires, opals! Party-goers are shiny and glamorous with picture perfect makeup, fluttering gowns, and sharp suits. Card tables are packed and the slot machines are a-ringing as guests play, play, play! Prizes, luxury, booze, attractive people, it's the place that everyone wants to be at.
Those people being dragged inside by some invisible force...? Silly, they were so excited to come that their bodies moved before they realized what was happening. Those are struggles of joy and definitely not the casino's infamous ghost hands dragging unwilling guests to the party at the behest of the house. Look, they're literally hurling their bodies at the card tables with unrestrained glee!
All clocks indicating day hours and night hours have been removed from the casino. Once a guest has entered, their Watch will jam, making it impossible to keep track of the time. You don't need to worry about that tonight.
▶ All characters on the TDM are WILDCARDS, which means they have not yet been assigned a card value. Suits will not manifest until characters are accepted into the game.
▶ All TDMs are game canon. This TDM acts as the game's January event.
▶ Current characters may top level on the TDM. Any current characters posting to the TDM should note they are current in their subject header.
▶ The top level directory is for new characters only. We want to make sure new characters are prioritized and receive attention! If you would be interested in a game invitation, you can note that in your comment header. This month we also have an ongoing ATP / EMP where players can connect. Please feel free to utilize this for all of your peafowl needs!
▶ If you aren't satisfied with these prompts, please feel free to check out our LOCATIONS to explore more of the resort!
▶ Smut threads that take place on this TDM can be used for rewards. If both parties in the smut thread join the game, you may retroactively apply the character's initial card values to your 52 bank. If one character does not join the game the thread will not be applicable toward rewards (as that character would not have a card value). The character that does join would still receive a small payout for the encounter. Hopefully it was a fun thread regardless!
▶ We ask you to kindly add content warnings to your threads as appropriate.
▶ If you do not currently have permissions and kinks listed in your character’s journal we suggest leaving a note in your top level of any limits or boundaries for other players to reference.
[Then Senku will keep track of the time for them both. Assuming they don't lose track of each other along the way.]
You read my mind on both counts.
[Senku barely has to take a step towards the buffet table before one of the attendants presses the biggest plate he's ever seen into his hands. More of a platter, really. It's not like he needed encouragement to eat up, but now it almost seems like a challenge. He starts with a base layer of starches, some mashed potatoes and rice dishes and the like, to soak up the butter and sauces from the seafood that comes next.]
The food's the only thing that makes these parties worth coming to. Heh, besides the potentially terrible consequences of refusing to show up.
[For a large-scale event like this, he assumes they'd turn up the heat on their suits rather than provide an individualized punishment like the one he faced last month. And yet, that's a much worse outcome for him because it's losing control of his mind that he hates the most. (Technically, being made to say dirty words was an affliction of the mind, but it didn't feel nearly as bad as his thoughts racing and turning manic. Plus it was funny.)]
it would be cheaper to use salt!!!! I think... wait depends on the salt!
[ Losing each other among the sea of partygoers is not something Xingqiu has taken into account because the plan is not to stray too far. Logic dictates that as long as they keep track of each other, it should be easily achieved. Maybe he is forgotten just how strange the resort is, but more than likely he is being confident that he won't lose Senku in the crowd.
And now that it seems they have both come to an agreement, it is time for them to feast.
He won't receive the same attentive service Senku gets but Xingqiu is thankful for this. It was best he picked out what he preferred from all the options. Honestly, if he got a plate full to mirror Senku's he would have been nowhere close to polishing it clean. He would pick out something for himself. Pastries are obviously favored and despite him making it clear they should take advantage of the food, Xingqiu does not indulge himself in food. ]
You would think they would be consistent in handing out punishments and forcing overall participation. While we may be present, we do not have to engage in anything happening at this party. We may as well not be here at all.
In the end, I wonder what is the point of all this? And for how long are we meant to stay. It's obvious some people never leave.
So, we'll have to not be some people.
sprinkling slugs with sea salt flakes just to be high class about it
[The hair does make Senku stand out in a crowd. The outfit they put him in possibly, too, depending on how many people he's standing by who chose their own formalwear.
He finally stops piling up his plate when the seafood is bracketed by chicken skewer support beams, a few vegetables fill the gaps, and the whole structure is topped by garlic knots. Huh, the rolls aren't even shaped like anything dirty. Not a single nipple or ballsack. This really is a classy affair.
With his structure complete, Senku checks out Xingqiu's progress. He doesn't seem to be engaging in food architecture and has only gathered a reasonable amount on his plate.]
Is that all you're getting? You can have some of mine if you want to try anything.
The point is to have fun. Too bad it's someone else's idea of fun.
[He can enjoy some of the games. They're interesting enough. But given a choice between playing something like Dirty Dice and being able to go about his life not at the party, he'll take the latter, thanks.]
How long do you want to give it before we try to leave?
[ That's some interesting food architecture. There is no helping it when he raises a single delicate eyebrow as he regards Senku's work. Can he really eat all that? Well, there seems to be a bountiful supply of food that feels almost wasteful, but this resort runs on the ostentatious. There was never a lack of anything, well for those who had chips anyway. That's not something to worry about tonight.
When the question is asked, he casts his gaze back down to the plate held in his hands with the few things he selected before his eyes flicker back to Senku. ]
That's right. This should suffice. For me, anyway.
[ He cannot imagine eating any more than this. However, if Senku wants him to have a taste of something else. Well, he would end up feeling full faster. ] But the offer is appreciated. I'll consider it.
As for what I meant, it's not just about this social gathering. I meant why are we at this resort at all? And don't tell me it is just about becoming physically acquainted with others. I still believe it would have been best to gather people who already partake in such practices.
[ There is a sigh as he once again casts his gaze downward to his plate.
This really, really, really is someone else's idea of fun.
Looking up once more, he has an immediate answer. ]
Obviously, not now; we just arrived. They're probably still dragging people in there. At a typical party, once everyone is distracted by conversation and you've already made a few rounds, then that's a good time to escape. Although it is always better to be prepared with... None of this is normal; there is no window to jump out of...
I wanted to link a picture of a snail with a beer and then I learned people kill snails with beer.

no, no, get your butler to do it for you
