【 Thank you for choosing the Golden Peacock, 5-star resort and casino. You are currently registered as a WILDCARD in our system.
Due to a high volume of check-ins, temporary accommodations have been made in our parking garage for all new arrivals. We aim to have all guests moved into their reserved rooms as soon as possible. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience!
All are invited to There Is No Tomorrow, a Phoenix Casino soiree to celebrate our beloved guests. The festivities will begin at 1800 hours on January 20th and end at 1800 hours on January 27th. Please look forward to 168 hours of delight.
In an effort to raise happiness and encourage better guest relationships, attendance is required. The house will assist guests that are too shy to appear of their own accord. Please note that black tie attire is mandatory. As always, we hope you enjoy your stay! 】

ANY CAR IN A STORM
PHOENIX CASINO HALL
WELCOME TO THE NEXT 168 HOURS
Phoenix Casino is a-flutter with activity and packed to the beak with guests. As a famously ever-changing space, the staff would be remiss if they didn't deck the crown jewel of the Golden Peacock out. The casino glitters from top to bottom, shining brighter than diamonds, rubies, sapphires, opals! Party-goers are shiny and glamorous with picture perfect makeup, fluttering gowns, and sharp suits. Card tables are packed and the slot machines are a-ringing as guests play, play, play! Prizes, luxury, booze, attractive people, it's the place that everyone wants to be at.
Those people being dragged inside by some invisible force...? Silly, they were so excited to come that their bodies moved before they realized what was happening. Those are struggles of joy and definitely not the casino's infamous ghost hands dragging unwilling guests to the party at the behest of the house. Look, they're literally hurling their bodies at the card tables with unrestrained glee!
All clocks indicating day hours and night hours have been removed from the casino. Once a guest has entered, their Watch will jam, making it impossible to keep track of the time. You don't need to worry about that tonight.
▶ All characters on the TDM are WILDCARDS, which means they have not yet been assigned a card value. Suits will not manifest until characters are accepted into the game.
▶ All TDMs are game canon. This TDM acts as the game's January event.
▶ Current characters may top level on the TDM. Any current characters posting to the TDM should note they are current in their subject header.
▶ The top level directory is for new characters only. We want to make sure new characters are prioritized and receive attention! If you would be interested in a game invitation, you can note that in your comment header. This month we also have an ongoing ATP / EMP where players can connect. Please feel free to utilize this for all of your peafowl needs!
▶ If you aren't satisfied with these prompts, please feel free to check out our LOCATIONS to explore more of the resort!
▶ Smut threads that take place on this TDM can be used for rewards. If both parties in the smut thread join the game, you may retroactively apply the character's initial card values to your 52 bank. If one character does not join the game the thread will not be applicable toward rewards (as that character would not have a card value). The character that does join would still receive a small payout for the encounter. Hopefully it was a fun thread regardless!
▶ We ask you to kindly add content warnings to your threads as appropriate.
▶ If you do not currently have permissions and kinks listed in your character’s journal we suggest leaving a note in your top level of any limits or boundaries for other players to reference.
[ If she doesn't notice the stranger immediately, it's only because Aerith is staring in private mortification at the message that has come through now that she's holding her brand new fleshlight, instructing her to use it with someone. Of course, given the kind of place this is, she shouldn't have expected the game to be quite as simple as "spin a wheel, win a toy"... more fool her, right? Now, she has a problem to solve...
It's only while she's mulling over it that she finally notices the man standing with his arms up as cash rains down on him, paying no attention whatsoever to it because his eyes are on her.
She smiles as he sputters—not laughing at him, though unfortunately the timing may make it seem as if she is—raising her free hand in greeting. She's never met him before to her own knowledge, but there's something about the way he looks at her that makes her wonder if actually, she has— ]
Hi there~. [ She tries not to think about the fact that her other hand, resting at her side, is cupped around a particularly fancy-looking fleshlight. ] I saw you getting showered in money just now! I guess congratulations are in order, right?
[ And frankly? Ragna wouldn't blame her in the slightest. Even with his longer tenure here, he has to double-take and reel at the prospect of getting sex toys hurtled his way. ...Like the time that Kazuya decided to teleport an extra large dildo in to land on his head. (Don't try and deny it you son of a bitchIKNOWITWASYOU-! cough...ahem...) ]
[ Aerith's smile does a good job in disarming him, random bills draping his shoulders whilst some get stuck in his hair. Any other time? He might have growled and asked what the hell she was laughing at. ...If he hadn't just been stuffed in a money box and showered with it in a cheesy fashion. But she not only looks friendly enough, but to him? He makes the critical mistake of assuming that she remembers him after all. Dismissing the game staff now that his turn to spin the wheel is done and he's earned his juicy payout, he pads over towards her as she greets him back with a wave. ]
Heya. [ If she's not going to talk about her fancy-looking fleshlight for now, he's not. ...Yet. Congratulating him, his face lightly flushes whilst ruffling a hand through the side of his white hair. Doing so causes more fake money to spill out. ] I think I got plenty of "congratulating" with all the blaring lights and sounds in the box. ...Still, it could be worse.
[ Is it time to mention her prize? No? Well, he's at least looking at it with a fleeting glance to her occupied hand. ]
I gotta say, Aerith, I wasn't expecting to see you get shuffled back in with the rest of us.
[ Ah... Well, no one could say that Ragna was never the direct type. There's an answer to that little wonder she's been having. ]
[ There's something about him, about the familiar way he talks to her, that makes her want to reach her free hand up and pluck the spare bills from his hair—she doesn't, but she thinks about it, a small smile on her lips as she watches them fall instead. And then, after a quick look at her prize that has her wanting to hide it behind her in a desperate search for decorum or something akin to it, he speaks up and answers the question she had anyway, putting a halt on everything else as her head tilts, as she considers.
On one hand, it doesn't make sense. On the other...
Well, it would hardly be the first time she's apparently lived an entirely "other" life, would it?
Her smile is apologetic. ]
So... You've obviously met me here before—or... something like that, I guess? But I don't have any memory of that happening. I'm sorry. I don't know if that's something that's common here, but... it's not totally out of the ordinary for me, so...
[ This time, she does reach out, pluck one of the notes from his hair. Holds it out to him with a tilt of her head. ]
That said, if we were friends before, there's nothing stopping us from being friends again, right? Maybe... would you tell me your name? Seeing as you have me at a disadvantage~!
[ A freshly plucked Ragna from his world might have visibly reeled from that attempt. But he's had more than a year not only to calm down, but to think about more than just what his original goals were back home; they were goals he still intended to fulfill, but, he's less bristly. Not as quick to yank his arm away or shove someone back. His patience had grown considerately. It also didn't hurt that said patience was even more fortified in the face of stronger-willed, bright girls like Aerith.
But then she confirms exactly what he should have prepared for. Despite the fact he has a penchant for blowing people off and saying his memory sucks, he can read people a lot better now. The apologetic smile that graces Aerith's lips tells him as much as her words do. It's not enough to sour his expression in full, but he does sigh through his nose, his expression settling with a sense of understanding. ]
Hey, you don't gotta be sorry for anything. I mean, if you don't know, you don't know. And I'm just-
[ That's about the time that she does reach out, those mismatched red and green eyes widening as the sudden invasion of his privacy sees his cheeks gently flustering. But it's just to snatch up one of those bills from his hair. The look that he gives Aerith is surprisingly innocent, blinkblinking at her when she adds that they can still be friends. Or rather...maybe they can try again? With a gentler huff, he sets a hand on his hip, not caring if there's any further strays in his spikes for now. He can get them after.
...Or she can. He's finally comfortable enough. Besides, it's hard to forget the way that she helped him out before when he was still experiencing the shock of this whole haunted resort. ]
You're awfully trusting of someone you just met. [ But he says it teasingly, finally letting a little smile of his own tug his lips. ] It's Ragna.
i'm dying
