[On Aerith's part she can't even pretend to be surprised that the first thing they see is slinky lingerie, though her gaze does stray to something that's all straps and lace and for a moment all she can think is 'that would look pretty on Tifa' before she tears her gaze away.

Instead she instantly perks up at the mention of Tighnari's home.

Sumeru City? What's it like?

[His reserved description of the Golden Peacock has her giggling.]

You can call it tacky, it's fine. But with Midgar, it was the uptown area, but also Midgar had two layers.

[For demonstration, she uses her hands, holding them flat in front of her with a gap between them to imply the height between the ground and the upper plate of the city.]

One, was the upper Plate. That's where the main city was, but below...

That's where I lived. They started out as small towns, all clustered around the main tower, where the workers and their families lived. But over time, as the upper Plate was built and the reactors were made, the lower towns merged into one big one to mirror the city above. The slums might not have been fancy, and they might not have had a sky of their own, but it was home.

[There's a fond smile as she talks, something nostalgic and bittersweet in her expression, before she's distracted by the racks of clothes. Her face lights up at the sight of a simple sundress: pink, with a bit of eyelet detail around the trim. Plucking it off the rack she can already tell it would be comfortable and easy to move in, and best of all, easy to wash. Holding it up to herself, she turns to Tighnari with a grin.]

So, what do you think?
