Soft. Warm. Cozy.

The beep of the Watch is gentle, a considerately low sound when rousing newly arrived wildcards while a small vibration tickles the wrist. Satin sheets slide with the lazy stretch of legs. Bedding shuffles. The room is a comfortable temperature but … for some reason, it’s maybe a touch too warm? And cramped?

As characters rouse from their slumber (or otherwise blink into awareness) they will find that they are now in a shitty resort room. They have been temporarily allocated a rank 2 suite. These suites are small and the twin bed takes up the majority of the space inside. Walkable area is minuscule. There is no decor or window. All characters are naked, wearing only a white terrycloth robe knotted at the waist. No details are given other than the above message and a follow-up message explaining GAME 52.

But perhaps that’s not the most alarming part.

They’re not alone.

All characters will find themselves waking up in pairs. Not only have they woken up in an entirely unknown place, they are pressed up against and/or are cuddling what may potentially be a total stranger. Even if a pair is lucky enough to know one other ... pretty awkward waking up together like this, isn't it?

Due to holiday overbooking all characters are required to share a room while the backlog of reservations are processed. Some of these rank 2 suites may even have three temporary residents if you’re feeling spicy.

The resort is truly sorry that they overbooked during the holiday season. This is unprecedented. They have never before seen the house bring in so many new guests at once. Without even a heads up for the staff. It’s like being middle management isn’t worth it! For the sake of avoiding headaches and customer complaints, wildcards will find that each room has an included a gift basket as an apology for the inconvenience.

Wildcards that explore outside will find staff running around like frenzied hens. These employees will encourage wildcards to go wash up in the bathroom, a communal space with plenty of free supplies for newcomers. The communal bathroom is a clean area with multiple open showers, sinks, and water closets. Wildcards will find shelves stocked with basic toiletries and clean towels. They will also find other general bathroom amenities available for use like hair dryers, face masks, scrub brushes, combs, razors, toothbrushes, q-tips, and so on.

All facilities inside the communal bathroom aside from the toilets are open concept and there is no separation based on gender (or anything else). Everyone is expected to share.

BATHROOM MISCHIEF

▷ THE SOAP WANTS TO DROP: Soap is slippery, but it seems as though some of the bars are intent on slipping out of hand and onto the floor. Some even shoot across the open concept showers and hit someone else. But how could soap throw itself at someone?! Are you sure you're not just looking for attention?

▷ YOU CAN'T ESCAPE YOURSELF: As the steam from the showers rolls through the bathroom the mirrors begin to fog. Strange enough, fogging the mirrors begins to reveal some kind of message ... and not just any message. Wildcards may discover one of the worst private thoughts they've ever had written out on the mirror for all to see. Hiding it as easy as wiping away the vapor, but you can never really escape your truest thoughts.

▷ SHAM-ME, SHAM-YOU: There are several shampoo scents for wildcards to choose from in the cabinets. One particular formula, Saltmarsh Sparrow, isn't quite like the others. This particular shampoo is designed to pair with the wearer's natural scent. Wildcards may find that they are leaking faint pheromones that incite lust and arousal in potential mates. Use too much shampoo and you may even be affected by your own scent!

▷ YOU, ME, AND THIS COMMUNAL TUB: The communal bathroom also includes a large soaking tub that can accommodate several guests at once. There are scrubbing stones kept around the pool for guest use and jars of mud masks to wear while enjoying a soak. Mud masks will leave even the dullest skin feeling hydrated and fresh—amazing! But... what is this? The very teeny tiny font on the bottom of the jars say, "Mud will not wash off by the same hands that applied it. We recommend finding a partner to apply masks with. Enjoy!"

Some of the staff will pity these poor new guests that have had their reservations pushed out. They will show characters the way to one of the small supply closets that are used by cleaning staff. The closet is small but fully stocked with linens, extra toiletries, pillows, robes, slippers, and yellow Golden Peacock tracksuits in a full range of sizes. They will encourage wildcards to take whatever they want before running off again.

But those that aren’t careful might find themselves in an interesting predicament.

OPEN THIS FUCKING DOOR

▷ Wildcards may find that the closet door will slam closed and lock while they are inside. This will only happen if there are two wildcards inside the closet.

A giggle from the other side of the door is proof that it wasn’t an accident but the voice will not respond to any questions or demands. Only when asked what they need to do to be released will there will be another soft giggle and the demand: “Kiss, kiss, kiss for seven minutes!”

Wildcards who abide by the kissing ghost's rule will be released promptly after seven minutes of kissing. Those that do not will be trapped inside until one of the staff members comes around and unlocks the door.

Wildcards will find that the hallways of the basement are chilly and narrow. Heading to the end of the hallway will reveal a stairwell where they can ascend to check out the main resort. Welcome to the Golden Peacock!

ODDS

A bird cries in the distance. Water beads trickle down chilled flesh. Itch itch itch—something pokes your bare ass.

The beep of the Watch is as gentle as it was for the new arrivals that didn’t wake up on the cold hard ground but the sound blends into the rustle of leaves and the gurgle of the river. Unlike their luckier colleagues, some wildcards have unexpectedly woken up in the middle of lush vegetation. Oops! That was a miscalculation. No details are given other than the above message and a follow-up message explaining GAME 52.

Wildcards that wake up in the Vale will be completely naked and without a resort robe to cover up. Lost amid thick bushes, mushroom clusters, and towering trees, it doesn't feel like they're in a resort at all. Isn't this a rainforest? By all accounts, this is a rainforest.

Those that wake in the Vale will have to make their way through the rainforest to find the exit. Really, so unexpected! This was not what we had in our system at all. It must be overloaded from high demand. Our apologies. Please don't complain.

LOST IN THE VALE

▷ The Vale is the only area in the resort that has simulated weather. Wildcards in the Vale may experience thunderstorms, windstorms, and light rain showers. Those who don't find their way out by night hours will find themselves plunged into darkness, with the bioluminescent mushrooms their only source of light.

▷ There are small caves and caverns throughout the Vale. There is overhead connected netting throughout the trees that may make travel easier for those agile enough to get up there. A river with fresh water runs throughout the entirety of the Vale.

▷ There are real birds living in the Vale. These birds find newcomers very interesting and like to swoop and peck if they see a good opportunity to bully. They are easily frightened off but quick to return if someone is particularly reactive.

▷ The Vale is very moist at ground level so mud and sinkholes are common. There are scattered stone and wood-plank pathways but for the most part the set-up is very natural.

Laughter rings throughout the forest. Footsteps echo. Branches snap. There are other people around aside from you naked newbies. If eavesdropped upon, wildcards may pick up on what these guests are cawing about. It sounds like they’re playing some kind of game.

Wildcards that wake up in the Vale may unwittingly stumble into one of the resort’s popular roleplaying games: Sexy Hunter 💕 and 💕 Sexier Prey.

There are numerous booby traps set around the forest. The goal of the game is to trap your prey and take them home for kinky fun and these guests weren't expecting newbies to suddenly drop in! The traps won’t hurt anyone but they will put them in some embarrassing positions.

SEXY? TRAPS

▷ CAGE: A lofted wooden cage. This trap is triggered when the prey crosses a hidden tripwire. The cage will fall from above and enclose the prey if they are not quick enough to evade. The cage is heavy and difficult to move. Escapable if the prey is strong enough or if someone lends assistance.

▷ HANGING NET: Netting hidden on the ground by leaves or moss. Stepping into the net area will trigger the trap into pulling up and capturing its prey in lofted bundle. Escapable if the prey manages to cut through the net or if someone lends assistance and breaks the pully rope.

▷ MUD PIT: A deep hole hidden on the ground by leaves, moss, or carefully placed bushes. Prey will fall into the hole once stepping into it. Depths may reach 6 - 7 feet so prey cannot climb out on their own. Escapable for those with good agility or if someone lends assistance.

▷ ANKLE SNARE: A rope loop hidden beneath leaves, moss, or other craftily laid vegetation. This trap is triggered when the prey steps into the snare. Rope will tighten around the prey's ankle to keep them in place. This trap may remain on the ground or loft the prey so that they're hanging upside-down from a tree. Escapable for those who can cut the rope or if someone lends assistance.

After braving the elements and surviving booby traps, these wildcards may finally find civilization. The lounge pagoda where many of the long-standing guests are hanging out and enjoying drinks is comfortable and connected to a bathroom where characters can themselves clean up. In contrast to the naked muddy wildcards, the guests on the pagoda are dressed in trendy and elaborate clothing.

They stare at the newly arrived nude wildcards before breaking into shouts of glee and approval.

“Yes, brilliant idea, it’s a naked party! Whoohoo! Come on everyone. Take your clothes off. All of them! Naked party, naked party, naked party!”

These NPCs will shed their clothing and begin to skinnydip in the pools and river. They will chase each other—and wildcards! Wildcards will find themselves surrounded by an orgy. They will encourage wildcards to join in on the fun and offer them food and drink to get into the mood.

IT'S AN ORGY Y'ALL

▷ FINDERS KEEPERS: None of the long-standing guests are paying attending to the clothes they've stripped off. Some of these clothing items may even have small items in the pockets, like a zippo lighter and cigarettes. Wildcards that dare to snatch clothes or items most likely won't be caught ... but if a guest does catch them, what are they gonna do other than give chase? If you're fast enough it's all yours.

▷ FREE LUNCH IS NEVER FREE: All of the food and drink offered by the guests on the pagoda is spiked with aphrodisiac. Intensity varies from a very slight amount to a full dose, at player discretion. Regardless of potency, wildcards will find that effects do not last long.

▷ MOVE OVER, BUB: The bathroom in the pagoda is small, comfortably fitting two at best. There is a shower with a limited amount of hot water available. The gauge will show as the amount of hot water declines. Once the hot water runs out wildcards can only use ice cold water to wash off the mud. It would be effective to shower together, wouldn't it?

▷ WHO STARTED THIS PARTY: Pagoda guests will become wilder as the party goes on. Wildcards may end up voyeur to guests having sex out in the open. Some guests will try to match up with wildcards or try to match wildcards simply because they would look good together. Particularly frisky guests will playfully chase wildcards around. Good luck, newbie!

Wildcards will find the exit out to the central hub and elevator bank behind the pagoda. Welcome to the Golden Peacock!

PROMPT NOTES

▶ Characters will wake up in either a rank 2 room or in the Vale. We ask that you pick one arrival for your character for consistency sake. If you can't choose we suggest using an RNG and letting it pick evens or odds.
▶ Characters in the Vale do have a room assignment as well. They can eventually find their way there after their journey, the poor things.
▶ All characters have been issued four food and four clothing vouchers. These vouchers are as good as money around the resort.
▶ Players should mod random NPCs as they like.

MAIN LOBBY

MAIN LOBBY

The Peacock is buzzing with excitement! The massive main lobby is especially spectacular with golden streamers, dazzling lanterns, glittering ornaments, and cheerful music. There doesn’t seem to be one particular holiday being celebrated with the general theme being winter and holiday. An amalgamate like this resort simply couldn’t select one thing and had to go for everything (more is always better). The hallways and aisles are packed with streams of guests in ostentatious outfits. One can’t swing a cat without hitting someone*.

*No cats were harmed in the making of this TDM. We love cats.

There are sprigs of mistletoe above many of the hallways and doors. Surprisingly, the mistletoe have no supernatural abilities whatsoever, but guests that spy two people beneath the mistletoe together will point and demand they kiss. It’s tradition. Don’t be a downer during the festive season. Succumb to the peer pressure.

Hallways are also decorated with vases of poinsettia flowers. Nothing is amiss about these flowers during day hours, but during late night hours they will pick themselves up and trade vases with each other.

They are polite flowers and try to change when there are no guests around but don’t always manage to do it discreetly. Wildcards may notice something gold glinting in the roots of the scrambling poinsettias. Wildcards who manage to grab these flowers and comb through their roots can collect a simple gold ring (along with shivers of, iyaaaa, we just met, so bold).

5 GOLD RINGS GAME

▷ The poinsettias are changing vases! Hey, they like to be fashionable too. Wildcards may notice something gold glinting in their roots as they dart across the floor to the next pot.

▷ Poinsettias are quick and clever. They will dodge, hide, and use bystanders as shields to avoid being caught. Once they’re in their new vase they cannot be taken out. They’re very stubborn.

▷ Poinsettias that are startled may give off a spurt of strong aroma. Wildcards that inhale this scent may break out into a rash. The cure is to climax/orgasm, which will get rid of the rash immediately. It may last up to a week otherwise. An embarrassed poinsettia may offer this explanation, apologetic for doing the flower equivalent of farting in your face.

▷ Gold rings can be retrieved from their roots. Taking these rings is harmless to them but they will be a bit bummed since these rings granted them the ability to scurry around. Please be kind and deposit them into a vase so they are not left stranded on the resort floor!

▷ Each ring collected may have either a slight charm or slight curse. A ring will either grant a brief boost to physical ability (charm) or drain physical ability (curse). Rings are single time use and will become plain gold rings after a brief use period. Players are welcome to choose if the rings they collect are charmed or cursed.

Birdbucks is likewise getting into the winter spirit. Despite there being no weather in the resort they are offering seasonal hot drinks! Prices aren’t any cheaper than usual but the quality is better than their standard coffee. They are offering four new delicious new flavors: Buttered Honey Rum Coffee, Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Cinnamon Latte, and Rainbow Cookie Cappuccino.

These drinks won’t do anything other than make one wired from all the caffeine, but guests are encouraged to enjoy them around one of the fireplaces set up throughout the main hallways. Many people are snuggling up to the fire while nursing a Birdbucks drink and telling stories. A great way to get to know your fellow guests! Each fireplace is surrounded with festive cushions, beanbags, pillows, and blankets.

"Have you all heard about the Peacock’s annual wish tradition? No? I’m an old-timer around here, let me tell you … see those little jars hanging amongst the lights? You’re supposed to write down your heart’s desire on a piece of paper and stick it into the jar. Then, take a match and light it on fire. They say if you do that you’ll get your desire within the next 12 months. Me? I’m wishing for an older babe, a high rank babe, to become my sugar momma… what, doing it together with someone? Sure. They say that if you do it with someone you’ll have a fated connection forevermore. So don’t do it with someone you don’t like, hah!"

Wildcards will find that that loud guest isn’t lying. Many small glass jars hang alongside the fairy lights and there are multiple tables with paper, pens, and matches.

Guests are scribbling down their desires and stuffing them into the jars, watching with glee as the lit paper crumbles to ash. Couples who put their desires in the same jar are said to have a fated connection forever after so many couples can be found following the tradition. Nothing happens right away ... but who knows? It may prove to be true later.

RED CARDINAL

RED CARDINAL

Those looking to escape from the crowds will find respite in Red Cardinal. Despite being busier than usual, this particular bar remains serene with guests calmly enjoying food and drink. The decorations are minimal with a few red hanging paper lanterns. The proprietress, a handsome woman in her forties, works the bar while watching all guests with an eagle eye. Guests can be loud and out of control in the hallways; they aren’t going to behave that way in her bar.

Due to limited space, all wildcards that come alone looking for a meal will be seated at a two-top table with another wildcard. The menu for the holiday season is preset. All dishes are cooked by the proprietress's own hands, so the aroma has the comforting spice of homemade. She fully expects these wildcards to eat every single morsel. To leave any dish with scraps would offend her.

"Full? What do you mean, full? Look at you. You're so thin! Eat up, don't leave anything behind. Is my food not good enough? What's wrong with it?"

Guests that do not manage to finish the entire holiday spread will be bullied into washing dishes in the kitchen. The amount of dishes to be washed is massive. There is no dishwasher so it must all be done by hand. Wildcards sent to kitchen duty will not be allowed to leave until every dish is scrubbed clean. It's the least they can do after insulting her cooking by leaving food on the plate.

Guests that decide to skip the food and set up at the bar will find dozens of sealed wine jars. The proprietress will share that these wines are her personal make that she only offers once a year. She has not labeled the effects of these wines for her own personal amusement. Guests who wish to purchase a jug must select one based on the name written label, without knowing what may have been added into the mix.

Red Cardinal has all the other usual options as well. They carry basic spirits, beer, and other no-fuss drinks. Characters may also order small bar snacks like nuts and chips.

RED CARDINAL’S HOMEMADE WINE

▷ SWEET OSMANTHUS: A sweet wine with notes of apricot and plum. A healthy dollop of the butterflies one feels during first love has been blended in to evoke an even brighter taste on the palate. Drinking Sweet Osmanthus will inspire feelings of love and romance in the drinker.

▷ JAMMY BERRY: A tart wine with notes of blackberry, raspberry, and bayberry. A clever tongue may also taste the unshed tears for those without mourners. Drinking Jammy Berry will compel the drinker to cry. Full on waterworks. You baby.

▷ CHILLED NUT: A mild and nutty wine with notes of chestnut and mint. All that's added to this one is a sprinkle of those bad ideas that always come past 2am. Drinking Chilled Nut will prompt the drinker to confess a secret.

▷ LOTUS TANG: A deep-bodied wine with notes of wood and oak. A cup and a half of blended confidence from "the strongest" men as been liberally whisked in. Drinking Lotus Tang will give the drinker a massive confidence boost and the sense self-importance to match.

All jugs have a high APV. Drink too much and you may end up sleeping on the floor of the bar!

Love Dove, the resort's largest department store, is running a massive end of the year sale. All items are between 50% - 70% off, which is a massive bargain for those that are tight on chips!

Stepping inside will transport you away from the busy crowds of the main hallways and into several floors of retail magic. Not wanting to be outdone by competitors, Love Dove has pulled out all the stops to impress during the festive season with massive decorations and mannequin set-ups. Large bows and ribbons, boxes done up in shiny paper, trees and candelabras, sparkles sparkles sparkles. There are also several tables set up around the store offering complimentary glasses of wine and chocolate covered strawberries.

Characters will find a section for every kink imaginable in the store. Gaze in wonder upon the wall of strap-ons. Marvel at the wide shade range of the silicone penises. Bask the rainbow of silky lingerie—for both women and men. There are gadgets and gizmos a-plenty, including some design oddities of Love Dove’s own creation that wildcards may never have seen before. The store even has staged areas for guests to try out some of the more elaborate equipment before buying. While it is not encouraged to use anything insertable before buying for hygienic reasons, guests can turn display toys on to test vibration strength and suction power.

Despite being a sex department store, Love Dove also has several departments dedicated to regular clothing and undergarments. Characters will find decent basics like t-shirts, sweatpants, underwear, jackets, jeans, skirts, shoes, and dresses for slashed prices. Don't miss these deals! The sale ends when the winter festivities end.

DRESSING ROOMS

▷ ANONYMOUS FUN: Many of the stalls have strange holes cut into the walls, making it easy to peer into the next room over. However, an astute wildcard may realize that these holes are too big to be peepholes. One may even come to that realization because of an unexpected visitor poking through the hole to say hello.

▷ YOU’D LOOK BETTER IN THIS: The lights in the dressing rooms may flicker on and off during the night. After that blink of darkness, wildcards may find that the clothes they were going to try on have been swapped with something completely different.

▷ FOREBODING: Wildcards may find that their reflection in the mirror is pale and tired. The lips of that reflection will move, a faint flick not noticeable to anyone else around, only to the one looking directly at their own face and knowing they aren't whispering. This reflection will try to warn its original... but will quickly freeze up, unable to get the message out before returning to normal.

At the front of the store there is a temporary section with an elaborate display. Wildcards will find Love Dove promoting masks and feathered costumes. They will hand out fliers inviting all guests the holiday masquerade. Drinks! Food! Dancing! A night that you surely won't forget! New guests simply cannot miss this party. Anyone who is anybody is going to be there.

All those who plan attend the masquerade are required to dress up. In the spirit of the season Love Dove is offering especially good sales on these elaborate costumes. For those with simpler tastes, there are also ballgowns and tuxedos in various prints and colors. The most important article is, of course, the mask.

Staff will encourage wildcards to pay particular attention in choosing a mask that resonates with them.

TRY A NEW FACE

▷ HEARTS: Several of the red masks have been marked by Hearts. The wearer will be able to glean a vague sense of the emotions of those around them.

▷ DIAMONDS: Several of the white masks have been marked by Diamonds. The wearer’s body will become especially sensitive to touch and temperature.

▷ SPADES: Several of the black masks have been marked by Spades. The wearer will experience a heightened desire for intensity or violence.

▷ CLUBS: Several of the purple masks have been marked by Clubs. The wearer will become compelled to act impulsively or recklessly.

Masks with effects may be purchased and worn in any of the masquerade prompts.

For all the joy that comes with celebrating the holidays, the jubilant atmosphere can evoke loneliness in one's heart. There are many different kinds of loneliness. The melencholy of missing someone that's died. Sorrow from being parted from your family. The ache of watching the one you love celebrating with someone else. The mourning of being left behind by a friend. These feelings are fleeting in the resort—luxury and hedonism are great distractions—but where do they go after that?

Right now they're manifesting in the sex toys.

Guests browsing Love Dove during night hours will find that some of the sex toys have been possessed by residual loneliness.

Loneliness is a powerful force and it has granted the toys the power to act on their own. Guests had better watch out—as brainless tools gifted a sense of autonomy, all they know to do is fulfill their function.

SEX TOYS GET LONELY TOO

▷ DILDOS: The dildos will chase after guests to try and fill whatever hole they can. These dildos are indiscriminate and will target any hole, so watch out for these pests trying to jam into one of your nostrils. ▷ SHIBARI ROPE: The shibari rope has uncoiled itself and is hiding in wait to capture two people together. When it spies an opportunity it will throw itself forward and try to knot two individuals together. It will target a single individual if no one else is close enough to catch with them.

▷ FEATHER TICKLER: The feather ticklers are surprisingly aggressive, chasing after characters to tickle them to tears. Sometimes these ticklers work together to trap characters into a corner and tickle them. A very unlucky character may even run into a flock of ticklers!

▷ LEASH AND COLLAR: The leash and collar set will play dead until someone is close enough. The collar will snap around the neck of the closest individual and the leash will drag them toward someone else to hold.

The sex toys are low level and easy to fight off but please note the you break it you buy it signs posted all over the store. Can you afford to go all out, even with the current deals?

The Phoenix Casino has been transformed into a winter wonderland. Trademark royal blue has been replaced by shades of gold and white with pops of bright red lanterns. Guests in elaborate masks and costumes mesh together and then part, reveling in pretending to be someone else for a little while.

All have dressed to impress, sparing no expense in dripping themselves in precious gems and metals. Some of the guests are treated like gods—these are the royal rank guests and the difference in treatment from the rest of the crowd is palpable. These dazzling celebrities take up much of the spotlight, laughing loudly at card tables and shooing away anyone too low of a rank to breathe their air. They don't bother to hide their identities. Why, when they have the best of everything?

There are several game tables set up where crowds are playing and betting. Wildcards are encouraged to join in on the fun and given some grace from social judgement because they have no official rank yet. Some wildcards may even find guests making eyes at them over the table. After all, who knows if the house has been watching and decided that they’re a favorite? Today’s wildcard can be tomorrow’s new 10 rank.

Wildcards may participate in dice games, card games, and roulette in the main casino. Most other typical casino games have been shelved in favor of the special events in private game rooms.

The buffet is massive and decadent. Dishes like lobster and caviar, cuts of filet mignon, kobe beef with white truffles, oysters chilling on real diamonds, bluefin tuna, matsutake mushrooms, pule cheese, and so on. The dessert table is likewise exorbitant with elvish honey cakes, black watermelon, macarons, petit fours, chocolates, eclairs, tarts, soufflé, and flan all sprinkled in edible gold flakes. Dishes may contain aphrodisiac at player discretion.

The bar isn’t lacking either. The resort has created three specialty cocktails for the masquerade. While regular cocktails and spirits are available, staff will encourage guests to give these limited time drinks a try.

COCKTAIL MENU

▷ GOLD GLAMOUR: Those that drink Gold Glamour will find that they are now able to change their voice. A popular choice among guests that really want to lean into becoming someone else for the night.

▷ DIAMOND DUST: Those that drink Diamond Dust will find their walls slowly lowering. Suddenly, being vulnerable and open to connecting with people doesn't seem so bad. Something to help loosen up your favorite introvert.

▷ RUBY TONGUE: Those that drink Ruby Tongue will not be able to tell a lie for the next hour or so. No matter how hard they try they will only speak honestly. Ruby Tongue won’t let you hide from yourself, even at a masquerade.

Wildcards and long-standing guests aren’t the only ones in attendance. Phantom hands have crashed the party and are phasing through the casino. To be fair, they’re always in the casino. It isn’t crashing if it’s their stomping grounds, right?

The phantom hands are mischievous and in the mood to get into trouble. They will be pinching the waists and asses of guests, tugging on clothes, knocking over glasses, and generally be a nuisance. Their favorite trick is to pin the blame for their crimes on someone else. If they’re not careful, wildcards may be the target or the scapegoat for some of these pranks!

GAME ROOMS

GAME ROOMS

The resort has arranged for four special events during the masquerade. These events take place in private rooms away from the bustle of the main party. There is no advertising about what is in each room and many guests are swept into the momentum. Highly trained staff tending to the door will be quick in prepping wildcards who wander in, giving them little time to realize what exactly they’ve stumbled into before it begins.

VIRGIN AUCTION

In a room draped in red velvets and spotted with plush couches, wildcards will find themselves either snatched up to a wooden stage or given a number. The distinction between the two is simple: staff will judge which characters are virgins and which are not. Virgins are included in the auction and all others are given the opportunity to bid on them.

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome … to the annual Virgin Auction!! Gaze upon these fresh nubile virgins in awe! So clean and so untouched. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to bask in the glow of their freshness!

▷ Virgins will be asked to give an introduction of themselves on stage. Afterward, they can walk the floor and interact with bidders as they please. Virgins are a rare novelty in the resort so NPC guests will fawn over them and offer them gifts like chocolates and flowers. Some may even read crappy love poetry to them.

▷ Bidders may submit their bids via Watch directly to their virgin of choice. If the virgin likes the bid and the guest submitting it they can accept immediately. If not, they can wait for another bid. After 30 minutes, if they have no other bids, they must accept their highest bid.

▷ Virgins need only spend 1 hour of their time on a “date” with the winner of their bid. They do not need to lose their virginity. Virgins will be paid a medium payout for participating in the auction and paid 20% commission from their winning bid.

LOCK & KEY

Gold and red melt together in this cozy game room. Adorned with padlock and ribbon decor, wildcards will only have a moment to admire the space before being snatched away by staff. Some wildcards will simply be given a key and returned to the room. Others will find themselves buckled into a harness or belt of some kind—but this isn’t any belt. It's a chastity belt. A rather uncomfortable one at that.

One hour to find your match, all! Anyone that doesn’t find their match after time has passed will be locked in the pillory and spanked as punishment! Welcome to the Locked Chastity Game!!

▷ Locks are looking for their matching key! Guests must find their match in order to win the game.

▷ Locks and keys that do not manage to find their match by the end of 1 hour will lose the game and have chips deducted from their bank account. They will also be locked into a pillory and spanked.

▷ Chastity belts may be over clothes or under clothes. How intense of a belt a character is wearing is left to player discretion. Some are very raunchy and may require direct contact with intimate areas to access.

▷ Once the game begins the door is closed. Candles that let off a strong aphrodisiac will be lit to add some urgency to the matchmaking. How strongly a character is affected is left to player discretion.

DIRTY DICE

In another large room with small scattered game tables tables, pairs and groups will be given a special set of dice to play with. Two bold guests take the lead and show everyone how to play the game. One guest tosses both dice: one lands on BITE and the other on BREAST. He grabs his game partner and peels down her collar to sink his teeth playfully into her breast. She then takes her turn, the dice commanding another intimate action.

Got it, newbies? This is an easy beginner game. Roll the dice and do what it says. You both take turns, and if neither wimps out and does what the dice say four times in a row, you win a prize. That’s Dirty Dice for you!

Welcome, Masters. We have a variety toys and pets for you to choose from. Your wish is our command. Here, you can have whatever you want. You’re in control.

▷ Masters will be given a selection of toys to browse. Players are free to imagine anything in the piles of stock that masters get to choose from.

[To say that this isn't exactly what Pepper was expecting to wake up to after a trip to the beach is an understatement to say the least. Taking care of that Kraken rapture should have been the last of what they had to deal with before heading back to the Outpost's Hospital, but...

Needless to say, waking up naked has definitely made it clear that that's not happening.

Pepper doesn't scream when she wakes up; more than anything, she's checking herself over for injuries (it seems like she's fine, she notes; no corruption, all systems seem to be doing okay, and she doesn't need any repairs...), but despite the fact that her immediate thought should be to her modesty, it isn't. Pepper can take care of herself, but what about the other people here? As Pepper looks to the watch in her hand and covers her breasts briefly, she can only imagine that there's more people here. Maybe more of her own kind, but her programming is far more focused on finding humans and getting them to safety.]

A: [And to start, she'll begin by doing just that! ...Namely, she's going to be exploring the rainforest and looking around for others, either awake or asleep and possibly ignoring the beeping on their watches, but Pepper will not hesitate to wave someone down--]

Hey! Hey, wait a second! [Hope that you don't mind getting approached by a naked, pink haired woman who's more concerned about potential injuries than modesty--] Sorry to bother you--you just woke up here too, didn't you?

B: [It's when Pepper decides that she wants to take a look into any vegetation that might be of use medicinally that she starts to run into problems. Mostly in that for all of her knowledge, the lack of vegetation on the Ark and her own lack of recognition definitely is making this more of a chore than it needs to be. Not that Pepper is any less than determined to see her own mission of making sure that the people here are okay, but it does mean she's rather prone to falling into some of the traps.

Most of them are fine; in fact, she may end up finding people and helping to get them out of their cages or nets or other traps, and one may be able to see her almost too easily tear herself out of a net or lift a cage with strength a girl like her shouldn't possess if she was human. The problem is, however, the mud pits; it's when Pepper isn't looking where she's going that she falls into one, and she is stuck. It doesn't help that her body is much heavier than a normal human's due to being a Nikke, but Pepper will look to the first person passing by, flailing her hands--]

[Well. At the very least, Pepper is happy to be out of the rainforest, but the rest of this place certainly is quite lavish. It reminds Pepper of what she's heard of from some of the so-called Soverigns that pass through the hospital doors from time to time; places of luxury, lavishness, all golden and pretty, and even Pepper has to admit she's a little charmed.

(Not that she hasn't noticed some preferential treatment going on here, but. At the very least she's keeping her mouth shut. Nikke tend to do that best, but even still, it doesn't sit right with her.)

At any rate, Pepper's fascinated by everything she sees here--and having a little bit of currency to utilize, it's resulting in her taking a look at some of the fashion on display, favoring the sweaters and comfortable looking stuff to the exclusion of most else. Still, if you happen to be nearby, Pepper will look to you while holding a few things in her arms...]

Hi there, everyone! You can call me Pepper, and it's nice to meet you all! [She laughs a little, just a bit awkward, but nevertheless friendly.] I'm a Nikke from the medical division of the Ark--our group is called Seraphim, and we typically see to the care of patients from all sorts of walks of life! I rather like taking care of people and looking out for them...and oh! I love trips to the beach! That's something I got to find out when we were on a mission to take down a Rapture that had taken it over!

But I think in general, you'll find me to be pretty nice company! I always try to keep a smile on my face, and a pep in my step! Feel free to come and talk to me!

As the Watch goes off and Scott struggles out of sleep -- uncomfortably deep for him, he must have needed it -- he does what he's done every morning of his life since he was thirteen years old and reaches for his glasses. Except they're not where they should be. In fact, they're not there at all. Instead, there's empty air. In the same moment of his hand swiping through nothingness rather than the nightstand he knows should be there, he realises something else: he's not alone. There's the weight and pressure of someone else in bed with him, someone curled against his back.

Also, he's not wearing what he went to bed in. Instead, he can feel the thick and slightly rough texture of terrycloth against his skin.

Some men might panic in such a moment. Scott allows himself to feel a few seconds of shock, concern, and mild anger. Then he pushes it aside and considers what he knows. From the faint echoes of his breathing, the smell of industrial cleaner and fresh linens, and an almost impossible to define sense of space around him, the lack of noise, he knows he's in a smaller room than the one in the mansion, a different room. Maybe a cell. It wouldn't be the first time.

Keeping his eyes carefully closed, he reaches for the arm slung carelessly over his waist and gently touches it.

"Hey. Hey, you need to wake up."

There's a sick kind of irony to a guy who can only see red ending up in a casino. Not that it technically makes anything any more difficult for Scott -- he's used to it -- but he still thinks it's funny. He has to find something to laugh about, since so much of what's going on doesn't seem to make any sense. So far he can't find any reason why he's here, except the commentary provided by the resort, the calm reassurances from the staff, and the grins from the other guests. It's a cage, clearly. A big and gilded one, but a cage nonetheless.

Dressed in a simple shirt, dark suit jacket and jeans, Scott is willing to play the part for a while, if he has to. He needs to find out what's going on, and then he needs to get home. Maybe not in that order.

A -- lightweight; Over by the bar, Scott scans the cocktail menu. He's very tempted to give in and order something to soothe his rattled nerves, but he can't justify the damage to his reaction time in a strange place like this. Decisively, he sets the menu down.

"Just a lemonade, please." The prickle of someone's gaze, and possible judgement on his drink choice, makes him turn his head. He raises his eyebrows above his ruby quartz glasses. "What?"

B -- lock & key; Over in the private room, dim and a little smoky with the smell of the candles everywhere, Scott's been handed a cute little golden key. He's figured out what he's supposed to do with it -- it's kind of obvious -- though he's still not sure how he's supposed to go around and ask to try it out. He keeps it in his hand just in case, holding it up to make it clear what he's doing.

Once he spots someone sporting a belt, he makes his way over. Clears his throat and raises the key.

"Mind if I..?"

Well, he doesn't seem like he's going to murder her, at least.

[It's been a minute since he's been in a bed, comfortable or otherwise, and so the concept itself is novel. Kazuya is warm, and while his body is sore and aching after everything, the bed provides a nice respite. And so he clings to the equally warm pillow tighter. The warm pillow that is less a pillow and more another person that gets a bony elbow or knee into their back as he holds on tight.

Of course, any sort of shuffling from said pillow-that-isn't-a-pillow will cause his eyes to snap open and he'll look directly at his cuddle buddy for about two seconds, blink slowly, and then just as slow, let go.]

... Hi?

[He's taking this surprisingly well. For the moment.]

[For what it's worth, Kazuya tries. He tries very hard to keep a grip on the soap, because he desperately wants to wash the grime of a seven-day blackout-lockdown off his body. Which results in an almost cartoonish scene: One hand grabs the soap, and then the other grabs the soap again as it shoots upwards, until eventually, the soap chooses a different trajectory. A trajectory that happens to be at another unfortunate wildcard, rocketing into the back of their head.

Kazuya stands there, flabbergasted, and looking incredibly apologetic.]

The soap seems to have a mind of its own? [He tries, sheepishly.]

[Or maybe he's the one who just got hit by a rogue bar of soap. What do you have to say for yourself, huh?]

[Eventually, he just gives up on the whole soap bar ordeal. It's not happening. He's already made an embarrassment of himself and he doesn't need to do it again. So. Shampoo doubles as body wash at this point, and he'll take anything as long as it leaves him feeling refreshed and... mildly antsy. But he's attributing that to the fact he's clean. Clean! Finally. Even if his clothes are missing and his headphones are gone and he's in a weird hotel-resort he has no memory of even so much as thinking about.

Honestly. Despite everything, and how awkward it is, it's still better than demons running around eating people. He'll figure out a way home eventually. Maybe. Hopefully before weird stuff happens.]

tighnari generally wakes easily in the mornings, but right now he feels groggy, comfortable, warm, unwilling to move, for the moment. the sheets smell nice, and he's wrapped in cozy blankets, but - gods, what in the world is that awful beeping noise? with ears like his, that gentle beeping is as loud as a klaxon. with a rough groan, tighnari shifts against the sheets, his eyes cracking open, soft and bleary.

he doesn't want to wake up. not when he's so warm and cozy, those arms around him feel so good -

ah. wait. immediately, tighnari tenses up, his eyes snapping wide, a shiver shooting down his spine. he doesn't recognize the scent of this place, and someone is pressed up very close to him - face to face, perhaps, but if you happen to be spooning him, enjoy the fluffy tail pressed against your crotch. ]

[ honestly, this is a terrible mess. but what is there to be done about it? for the moment, tighnari is stuck, and there's little enough to be done for it. he needs to eat, needs to drink, to keep up his strength and awareness, so for now he's choosing not to panic, but instead, to learn as much as he can. and also.. to get some real clothes.

he's comfortable in an oversized sweater for now, and nursing a buttered honey rum coffee as he contemplates the jars. in his hand is a slip of paper, and he's soon approaching one of the jars, setting down his drink momentarily in order to light the paper with a match, and drop it into the jar. firelight dances across his features as he watches it burn.

oh, also, there's a sprig of mistletoe above his head. he nearly jumps out of his skin when one of the guests shouts kiss!! toward him, and whoever happens to be standing beside him.. ]

no please that joke was way too easy, i'm so sorry. anyway, tighnari enjoys his wine, certainly. he's not a problem drinker, but he imbibes on occasion, usually while entertaining friends, and honestly - after a day like this, he could use the drink. so he slides into a seat at the bar and glances over the menu, before ordering an osmanthus wine. he's in the mood for something sweet.

after a few sips he's feeling pleasantly warm, his elbow resting against the bar, cheek against his knuckles. chuckling softly, he greets the person beside him with a warm smile. ]

I have to say, I think this one in particular will look quite lovely with the gradient on your leaves. While this one may be just what you're looking for... it's rather pretty isn't it? All the gold?

[ setting the pots down carefully, he scoots back from where he's crouched, scratching his hands just a bit now. damn it all. the flower crawling into the pot on the left, with the lovely gradient, is bowing its little head over and over again, it's little roots clinging to a ring that he carefully (roll of 18) snatches between his fingers as it sags into the pot. it looks a little bummed, petals wilting, and he makes a face. oh dear. ]

Now, now, it's alright, these things are completely natural. I think. I'll find myself a druid to ask about it later. No doubt they'll have a cure. Now you just settle in - yes, yes, you look fantastic.

THE CASINO | dirty dice.

[ well. cheating would probably be frowned upon, right? and isn't that just part of the fun? the sense of chance? yes the dice are a bit risque, but gale is here to play and will be sipping a cocktail, but this one looks more like a wine-based one than anything offered here otherwise. he's politely declined any of the specialty cocktails, though it isn't as though this hasn't flushed him just a bit with the aphrodisiacs roaming about.

dressed in a deep purple suit that ties in the front like a robe rather than buttoning down, shimmering in satin. gale's hair is half-up, tied in lovely wizardly updo. he's got a fine shadow of facial hair and has the barest glimmer of gold at his eyelids that's seen whenever he blinks. his shoes are rather sharp, tipped with a bit of gold as well, otherwise they are pitch black boots that go up to his ankles. overall, he looks like he fits in rather well, eyes glimmering behind the mask. ]

[Pepper doesn't even need the Jammy Berry wine in order to be at least slightly teary-eyed at the sight of all of this fully formed, delicious food--it beats any Splendamin out of the water, the jelly-like texture gone and replaced with something substantial, with all of the proper flavor one would expect. Pepper almost feels like she'd died and gone to heaven, really.

The wine she's got, with a plate of food in hand, is one she's definitely fond of as she moves to take a seat nearby, giving Gale a quick smile before she sits--when she's actually addressed, though, she looks to him with a grin and holds up her jug.]

The name on this one is "Sweet Osmanthus"! I haven't tried a lot of it but mmm, it's delicious! Kind of reminds me of Apricot Splendamin, but there's some stuff I can't put a name to, flavor-wise...

[Even so, Pepper chuckles--mostly at the memory of the rainforest, to say the least.]

This is definitely better than waking up in that forest, though, that's for sure! Even if the forest was pretty and lush in it's own right, I think I could go the rest of my life without having something like that happen...at least it looked like there were plenty of good plants to harvest there, if nothing else.

01 — vale-come to the jungle

( it isn't the beeping that eventually wakes him, but a bird gently(ish) pecking at his head. zoro's eyes snap open when a small tuft of hair is pulled from his head and he sits up, glaring to the bird cackling ( yes, it's a cackle, okay? ) near his side. he grumbles something unkind and the bird trills a happy sound before taking off to the treetops.

nice way to be woken up.

a hand rubs over his face and zoro blearily blinks then looks at his surroundings. doesn't look familiar, but that's not the most concerning thing. another grumble rolls in the back of his throat as he rolls up to his feet, rubbing the top of his thigh; turns out, little spiky balls aren't that great to sit on when they're close to precious objects.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
a. — zoro will not be finding his way out by dark and can be found holding a fistful of mushrooms and looking as if he's going to eat them ( which is like inadvisable by anyone with eyes ); he will be quite dirty, annoyed, and ready for a stiff drink. he may or may not respond well to assistance.
b. — guess who's stuck in another well? or a mud pit, really. this one is a little harder for him to get out of as it doesn't have the advantage of having a bunch of rocky foot and hand holds on the way up. hearing any hissing curses? they're coming from the hole in the ground. watch out, don't end up in there with him.
c. — he will not be participating in the orgy because he's too annoyed to even attempt to. and not that zoro is ever the cleanest guy in the room, however, after being stuck in a mud pit for a while and traipsing naked through the jungle, he'd actually like to take a shower. and, quite frankly, he doesn't care who's occupying one. he will draw back the curtain with a gruff: move over, i'm coming in before doing exactly that.

[ Zhongli wakes up with no idea where he is.

Sure, it's not hard to figure out what type of place he's in—the clean but generic and impersonal decor just screams 'inn'—but the exact location of this inn or how he arrived here is a mystery. And with it comes an even bigger mystery: who is this person in bed next to him, and why is Zhongli pressed up against them with his arms wrapped around their waist?

Still, just because he's confused and a little alarmed there's no reason for him to be rude. So while Zhongli does extract himself from the person beside him and push himself upright, he does so carefully. For a moment he simply sits there, studying his unexpected companion, but if they don't wake up in that time, he slides out of bed and begins to carefully investigate the room.

Either way, his partner is bound to wake up eventually, and when they do Zhongli greets them with a simple: ]

Good morning.

[ A normal way to handle the odd situation they're in, no? ]

( ii. closet troubles )

[ Around the time the door slams shut behind them, Zhongli thinks he's started to get an idea of what sort of place the Golden Peacock is.

Then the disembodied voice makes its demands and Zhongli is sure of it. He doesn't give up right away, of course. He makes a cursory effort to open the door, and even spends a few minutes considering the merits of breaking the door before deciding it's probably not worth whatever cost such an act will incur.

So, instead, he looks to the person trapped in here with him. ]

It seems as though the requirements to exit are quite clear. Unless you'd like to wait for a staff member to find us, it may be easiest to comply.

[ Just don't mind that he looks and sounds a touch irritated by this places's games. He's has a long morning. ]

( iii. five gold rings )

[ Mobile plants, is it? That's very 'Sumeru' of this place, even though little else is. Zhongli doesn't immediately jump into the game of chasing them down, instead sitting to the side and watching the others try their hand first. It doesn't take him long to catch sight of the hints of gold in the flowers' roots, and even less time after that to figure out the goal of the game.

Still, he sits for a while longer in order to confirm something, and once he has he addresses the nearest person that also seems interested in the game. ]

It looks as though capturing the flowers requires two people, and there may be a benefit to collecting the rings. Are you interested in working together?

[ Zhongli's current outfit—slacks, dress shoes, and a vest with intricate gold embroidery—aren't exactly practical choices for an activity like this, but he seems serious about his offer all the same. ]

[ Finally, finally, Zhongli has managed to identify a location relatively free of the chaos of the rest of the hotel. He's not even upset about being unexpectedly seated with another person—in fact, he seems quite pleased by the arrangement. He greets his dining partner warmly, and his good mood only improves when he sees the similarities between the dishes on the menu and the cuisine of Liyue. ]

If you're not familiar with the cuisine, braised pork and roast duck are quite delicious, and the vegetable dumplings or eggs with tomatoes are appropriate for a vegetarian palate.

( Luffy hadn't been expecting to wake up anywhere else other than the hammock in his room aboard the Going Merry. They had just begun their trip to the Grand Line in earnest and a good rest is just what the doctor ordered, or Luffy assumes they would if the crew had a doctor to begin with.

The first thing he even realises when consciousness begins to take hold is that he's comfortable, warm and that whatever he's sleeping on is horrendously still. There's no rocking of the ship being buffeted by waves here and that alone would be cause for concern if Luffy wasn't so relaxed, still half asleep. Someone else is in his bed if the smooth, heated and solid surface under his hands is something to go by, or so Luffy hopes because the pirate captain is completely snuggling them, legs tangled with his bedmate's as if they'd known each other all their lives.

He should be more concerned but panic isn't on Luffy's list of reactions, anxiety not even on his radar as he huffs a quiet sigh. Moving can come later, right now he might even try to catch a few extra minutes of sleep; if his bedmate was going to cause a fight it would have happened by now, surely. )

FREE STUFF?
So it's about a game? ( Luffy doesn't remember signing up for anything of the sort, but considering he's in this place he must have done it without realising. He glances at the watch on his wrist, brows furrowing as he thinks his way through it. )

Huh, sounds like a card game.

( His crew would be worried by now and Luffy can't blame them, easily imagining them waking up to find their captain gone. He'll have to figure out what's going on then decide on the next course of action; there's even the potential of his crew being in the same place and that thought is enough to banish any concerns, Luffy grinning as he wanders over to the gift set. There's zero shame in his lack of clothing; uncomfortable yes, shameful no and he picks up a shirt. )

"Slut era"? Dunno what that is but why I need one, but it'll do. ( The cookies are spied and there's not an ounce of hesitation as Luffy reaches over to grab one, taking a bite as he looks around the room again. ( It doesn't take long for the young man to wander off and out of the room, intent on exploring and finding either his crew or his ship. There's staff everywhere running around, too busy to answer many questions at all as Luffy finds himself ushered towards the showers. It's enticing even without steam and scents, hots showers a rare commodity when out on the ocean and Luffy takes the chance with both hands.

Along with the Saltmarsh Sparrow shampoo. The hot water on his skin is soothing muscles that still ached from a previous battle and Luffy can't help but stand still under the torrent, eyes closed as he relishes it. True to nature there's no part of Luffy that is reserved and he's already pouring the shampoo liberally into his hands, starting to wash his hair completely unaware that the product is going to start raising some eyebrows. )

CLOSET.
( The closet isn't the largest and Luffy looks around it, brown eyes full of intrigue as he takes stock of what's in there. Not that there's much time to look for long when he hears the door slamming behind him. He's pushing against it within seconds, concern turning to confusion when he hears the words being sung. )

Wait, that's what'll unlock this door? Not very convenient if you ask me, having to do that every time you need something.

LOVE-DOVE AT NIGHT.
( Luffy can't help but loiter around the store, watching people come and go in an attempt to try and figure some things out. Maybe there'll be someone familiar here? The least he can do is find something to wear though.

He's so wrapped up in studying outfits and masks that Luffy doesn't see the leash and collar, jolting when it suddenly wraps around his neck. There's no time to try and prise it away from his skin when it immediately begins tugging the young man somewhere, and Luffy clings to the nearest bar counter, struggling against the pull with everything he has. His arms begin to stretch as the leash's strength seems to eclipse his own and eventually Luffy relents, arms snapping back into place as he's tugged along to a nearby person. )

((Hello, this is Toge Inumaki and his power is cursed speech – meaning that his voice compels people to do what he wants. Potentially very fun in the future, but it means generally that Toge is almost functionally mute. He does speak in rice ball ingredients that have meanings, but there’s a bit of a learning curve.))

I. Arrival: Even

[The first thing that Toge notices when he opens his eyes is not that he’s somewhere new – it’s that someone’s in bed with him. That’s weird. The second thing he notices is the slight chill from being essentially naked.

It’s a little awkward. More than likely this person is taller than him, since he slides in just under 5’4”. His curse marks are on display, something that is not unusual when he’s sleeping, but that’s why he sleeps alone.

The true problem he has is the awkward predicament that this person happens to be cuddled up on his right, on his right arm and because he lost his left arm, it’s not like he can shove them off.

Toge huffs out a breath and wiggles the fingers of his right hand, maybe turns his wrist a little bit.. Hello? Wake up? He’s hoping to avoid speaking for the moment, but he will if he has to.]

II. Main Lobby

[After using his four vouchers to acquire pants, a button down that is done up off the line like he screwed up and couldn’t be bothered doing it again, some shoes and a face mask, Toge is at least half presentable for the party. He’s not really paying attention to the various plants.

He happens to be leaning very close to some mistletoe, and coming into his path? Well it makes everyone cheer and point.

Toge blinks a little at the attention and he tilts his head at the other Wildcard with a muffled, nervous chuckle.]

Takana? [What do they think? Give into peer pressure?]

[And once he’s onto the game and is avoiding the mistletoe, it gives him a good vantage point at seeing the poinsettas. Did that one just...?

He’s quick on his feet, chasing after it to see if he can grasp it in his hand to swipe that ring. He just might not be the only one who caught sight of it.]

III. Games Room

[Being a part of the virgin auction is not exactly Toge’s idea of a good time, mostly because he’s really not sure anyone’s going to bid on him. He can play along though, at the very least and if this turns out embarrassing...well, whatever.

He gets up on stage, his face still half obscured with a face mask. Maybe someone would think that’s mysterious? His left sleeve is also empty and just flapping with the movement.

When invited to introduce himself, Toge doesn’t actually say anything he just smiles behind his mask and waves at the crowd. So...a true man of mystery then. Who wants to bid?]

[But being the little gamer that he is, he does go looking for other games over the course of the evening and finds himself with dirty dice. It certainly seems easy enough, doesn’t it?

Toge is led to a table with an empty space to sit in front of another Wildcard. He raises his hand in greeting.] Kelp.

A: CAGED GENIUS
[ There's a part of Leo that feels like if someone is going to be captured it should be someone who isn't him, by him. Not because he particularly wants to capture someone but more because it feels like it's more the Knights way to go around capturing people rather than being captured. Though he gets captured a lot, actually, but that's just usually by his friends who are trying to keep him in one place, so maybe it's different...? Either way, apparently he needs to step up his avoidance game because the first thing to happen after reading about the way too complicated game he absolutely does not plan to remember the rules to any time soon is that Leo traps a hidden tripwire and is immediately lofted up in a cage. Naked?? Which bugs him less than being captured.

Not because he thinks anything bad is going to happen - maybe he should thing that, but he's just not right now - but more because being captured is INCREDIBLY BORING. What can he even DO in a lofted wooden cage naked without anything to write with? It'd be one thing if he had his markers, but he has nothing. Not even a stick to rattle the wooden cage slats with. Still, instead of screaming for help (well, he does shriek once and then sort of investigates) Leo ends up sitting cross-legged and singing, although even that is getting frustrating. ]

[ There's a lot going on in this casino with various ways to make money, all of which is flying mostly above Leo's head. Like, sure, he gets that "sex gives you stuff" and all, but every time anyone starts to explain the exact details of how game 52 works his mind just blurs out and goes to more interesting and less complicated things. It's just cards and suits and whatever, right? And he doesn't even have any of those right now so who cares! As to gambling...well, he'll do it if he feels like it, but Leo ends up earning money in a way more traditional manner for him.

He doesn't actually intend to earn money like this, but when he finds an abandoned high quality grand piano in the hotel lobby with no one around to play it Leo just ends up sitting down and starting to play. In some ways he is a simple guy and this is one of them: if he sees a piano, he's gonna go play the piano. Since most of the NPC guests apparently don't know how to play, the entertainment is more welcome than it isn't and he even starts earning tips. It probably helps that Leo is a very accomplished player and composer - he starts off playing some of his own songs already written (not that most people would recgonize them) but pretty quickly deviates into writing stuff on the fly and taking the occasional request if it's a song he would recognize or if someone hums or sings whatever they want long enough for him to catch on.

His works are all catchy and the kind of thing that sells well, full of personality and soul and quick grins. And hey, earning money to have some fun is never bad! Though it feels a bit weird keeping all of this to himself, so. ]

[ It's not like he's been operating at the proper level of concern from the start, but the second he found a piano all chances of ever reaching that totally flew away and now he's just here to have a good time. ]

[ A sex department store. Why not. Leo's been browsing all the stores idly because he enjoys exploring and wandering, but he didn't expect to find anything all that interesting in here. However, he was dead wrong. While there's other stores that definitely sell the regular kind of markers (andw hile he has, of course, acquired those) Leo is now discovering...body paint markers? Edible markers? There's like a whole new world of markers here for him to use, and he's already tried a few on his own arms, happily marking them up with musical scores, but that isn't quite scratching the right itch...So don't be alarmed when the redhead approaches with markers poised between each of his fingers, grinning. ]

[The rude awakening in the forest had been uncomfortable to say the least. But after resigning himself to not finding his weapon or his clothing, Dan Heng had set off to look for civilization. This was clearly not the resort in question, and more than enough about this was suspicious, but... he needed to get out of the forest before anything else.

Unfortunately, he walks right into a party that quickly takes a risqué turn.
He is entirely out of his element as he watches numerous strangers strip down and start engaging in all manner of sexual acts. He is not prone to blushing, but there's a tinge of red at the tips of his ears, and he looks quite ready to run from this previously sought refuge.

...But not without grabbing some clothing, first.

He's calm now, for the most part. He's retied his robe as snugly as he can, mostly for the sake of not looking like a slob. He's also perched himself on the corner of the bed, and is combing his hair one-handed while sorting through the awful, awful shirts with the other. He does not look very excited about any of these shirts; in fact, he gets less excited the longer he looks through the pile.]

I shudder to think of what outlandish impropriety inspired these garments... Good morning.

[This little greeting clipped and without looking, although without - he hopes? he's trying? - malice. Probably, this other individual in a robe didn't kidnap him and cuddle him all night. Probably, they are in this together.

A social gathering! Lorenz knows how to do those. With a polite selection of buffet snacks on a politely arranged plate, Lorenz has taken to mingling. He loves to mingle! He knows how to mingle!

Which of course makes him a sitting duck for the phantom hands, which have pinched and poked and tugged at him what feels like a dozen times already. This latest incident, in which he feels the full press of a hand against the small of his back, inspires him to finally mclose it: he spins on his heel to who he thinks is the offending party, drink (it's a Diamond Dust) raised and ready to be thrown in someone's face.]

Excuse me! Are you quite finished making a playground of me? You could at least do the decent thing and announce yourself first!

[So, okay, he'll party. It's not much of a ball like he's used to but he'll make do, starting with installing himself at one of the card tables and frowning thoughtfully over the cards.

[ This is, like. So much food. A nice, big, tasty meal had seemed like a great idea at first; the food at Milgram was fine, but it was all same-y other than the occasional requested treat, so he'd thought maybe having a nice, hot meal would help him get his bearings? And it had, but only for like, the first four dishes.

But now, staring at the spread that still awaits him, he's already starting to feel a little queasy. Fuuta slowly chews his mouthful of braised pork and arduously swallows before shooting the proprietress a furtive look.

And then, when she isn't looking, he hurriedly pushes some of the bamboo shoots and vegetable dumplings off his plate onto his tablemate's. C'mon, buddy, help a guy out. Eat those for him, pretty please? ]

[ He's still very much convinced that this is some sort of insane fever dream that Es is subjecting him to for shits and giggles, and he's going to wake up back in his cell at any moment. (Right? Still, he's on edge as he inspects the belt that's been tightened around his hips and groin to an uncomfortable degree, and then sudden tap of a finger on his shoulder has him stiffening, hands curling into automatic fists before he forces them open again, slapping a smile on his face as he turns. ]

Obviously the first order of business is to look for civilization, which he is perfectly content doing, dodging around those playing some weird game whenever he can. It's when he veers into the underbrush to avoid them that he ends up tripping a wire and... now there is one (1) long-haired man trapped in a cage, sighing loudly.]

He approaches and holds up a hand in greeting, giving a wry little smile to any wallflowers he finds.]

[Finding peace and quiet of any sort in this place seems to be a rare commodity. As a nurse, it worries Pepper deeply to see so many people here--and a clear sense of a caste system in motion, something even the Ark found distasteful and mostly did away with. But at this party, it's almost freeing to be able to wander and mingle about, with a cute little heart mask on and learn about others, have drinks, and just...live. It's a small pleasure Pepper hasn't really been able to afford.

It's when she spies a game of dice that she's intrigued, and her expression brightens when she hears Yuri's voice as she's being paired off, going right over with a bright grin.]

[ It's unexpected, and its unexpectedness is enough to shake Keita to his core. He's been conscious of the blanks in his future memories for a while, of course, keenly cognizant of how much hinged on a small number of things going exactly right—Grace's choices (or Grace's luck, rather), Thaniel's choices—but in all of the possible futures that Keita imagined, none of them were this.

A wholly new place. New people. A new world, Keita thinks, before he even opens his eyes. Against the backs of his eyelids he watches a whole new network of possibilities spill out and away from him like constellations across the night sky, each and every one of them starting here, with him, in this unusually soft bed against an unusually warm— ]

Ah.

[ An unusually warm body, and certainly not Thaniel's. Nor Katsu's, which is an absurd enough thought that it prompts Keita to roll onto his back and look up at the ceiling as he takes stock of the situation. He's a bit singed under the bandages, which is to be expected; he's also entirely nude, which is not. Keita hates it.

With a voice so calm that it doesn't belie how fast his mind is working, Keita asks aloud, ] I don't suppose you've any idea how we got here?

[ He's probably dead. Keita just didn't know the afterlife would involve so many choices. ]

[ Now (blessedly) fully dressed in clothes that—aren't quite his own but are close enough to make him feel more at ease, Keita emerges from the dressing rooms at Love Dove and makes a slow circle of the store.

This is mostly intellectual curiosity, on his part. It's immediately evident what all of the items are—sex toys, things used chiefly in the pursuit of pleasure—but there are so many, and so many different kinds. Some of them exist in Keita's time, but one would never find them on display in a department store. It feels a little like walking into Harrods and seeing someone perform oral sex at the checkout counter.

There's also a bit of… well. Regular curiosity, Keita supposes. It's so rare that anything surprises him, and it makes him want to indulge, just a little. ]

It was certainly a choice that made the proprietress of the establishment narrow her eyes at him when he ordered. Still, Keita's not willing to take a chance on any of the wine flavors yet, especially when nearly every potential outcome he can envision ends embarrassingly for one or both parties involved.

There's also a shallow dish of nuts in front of him, which Keita seems to have barely touched. Hard to have much of an appetite when you're still trying to sort through so much input at once, after all. ]

It's rather exhausting here, isn't it? [ comes the frank question after a moment spent sitting in silence. ]

She's suddenly very awake, trying to scoot away from the person she's spooning, but her back hits the wall and there's no space, and as she twists, the fabric around her twists and tangles, shifting so that one of her breasts is nearly exposed. As she tries to take care of that, she manages to elbow the other person in the back, and it's taking all her deep breathing to keep from quite literally kicking them out of the bed. She was spooning them after all. ]

[ After getting the mess with the beds sorted -- she feels significantly less mortified that everyone was doing it, but significantly more unsettled that it wasn't by choice -- Tifa's first priority is to find some clothing and get clean. There's almost nothing a shower can't make feel better.

Unbeknownst to her, she's selected the wrong shampoo. It hasn't been an issue, until she's at the Love Dove looking for some basic clothing (instead of this mortifying 'in my slut era' shirt that is...unfortunately incredibly apt given she has no bra and only hot pants to tide her over).

There's someone who passes nearby, and when she looks up, her body goes still. No one has ever looked at her like that, hunger and longing and possession. There's something threatening to it, but also something strange that makes her heat clench and a thrill go through her. ]

c. Virgin Auction

[ This is...insane.

When she landed in Midgar and had an insurmountable debt to pay, she'd sworn the one thing she wouldn't ever do was work at Wall Market.

Now it seems like she has no choice. It does help that she's no longer 15, and that literally everyone is required to participate, and that it seems like...a decent number of folks are in the same boat as her, not really wanting to be here.

She's lived poor before. Poorer than poor. And she's worked hard to get out of it. She can do it again. It's the loss of agency over something so private that she hates, but -- but it doesn't mean anything here. This isn't about dating or partnership. It's work.

And the best thing she can do is leverage what she has, so she signs up for the virgin auction, because she only gets to play that card once. She's nervous, though. She managed to rent a floor length green velvet dress with a slit up the side and looks absolutely stunning, milling around the audience flirting up potential bidders. At least it takes the pressure off admitting she's a virgin. ]

I know. Everyone's always so surprised. I just didn't have time to date at home!

d. Master Class

[ She did NOT mean to come here. At all.

She was trying to get back to her room from the auction, still wearing her elegant evening getup, but carrying her heels. She'd opened the wrong door. Someone made her draw a card, shuffled her over to a table full of things that make her blush that she's never seen before and quite frankly doesn't know how to use. She tries to stammer out that there's a mistake, but the staff won't let her bow out, and they do mention there's a payout if she tells her partner what to do and they fulfill her wish.

Well, if she's the one controlling it...maybe she can get through this as painlessly as possible.

Still blushing furiously, she copies the person next to her, plucking up a leash, a remote-control butt plug (that she is not entirely sure what it is or where it goes), and a contraption that seems to hold wrists to thighs.

She also manages to mumble out she'd like a random match, as the idea of choosing someone to their face feels too much like indicating ongoing interest. It's another whirlwind until they're in a room, door closing and the silence heavy. ]

[It's almost a little creepy how so many are opting into 'I can't believe you're a virgin!' as their icebreakers. He doesn't like to make assumptions about people, so he chalks it up to being swept up in the crowd and maybe being a little awkward about striking up conversation.

Which Gohan was also not immune to. When she approaches him, he gives a small, awkward wave, a bit pink in the face - half because he was awful at striking up conversation, and half because he feels a bit weird being caught up in this crowd.]

I-If it makes you feel any better, it was kinda the same way for me back home.

I. ARRIVAL: EVENS

A. Wake up first taker only. cw: violence

[ A former job that required both paranoia and being keenly alert at all times, the ability to drink like a fish before alcohol even begins to hit, and a naturally guarded personality means that there have been very few times in Broca's life where he hasn't immediately recognized where he is upon waking up. Of those few times that have happened, he's never woken up with another person in the bed with him.

So after a little explanation and talking things out, hopefully his bed buddy will forgive him for this one...

Because on rapidly jolting to full consciousness after realizing the sounds, smells, and sights around him aren't what he's used to, Broca is reaching out to slam his hand against the neck or head of whoever is sleeping next to him, and trying to hold them down against the bed as he tries to get his bearings.

There were probably nicer ways to do this, but unfortunately his bunkmate here didn't wake up next to one of those nicer people. ]

B. Shampoo disaster

[ Now that Broca is done roughing up his temporary roommate (and not in a fun way), he's begrudgingly made his way to the communal bathhouse that the staff indicated he can use. There's no real concern for modesty or privacy on is part, but the whole waking up somewhere unfamiliar with no explanation thing has him in a sour mood as he rinses off the copious amounts of shampoo he opted to dunk on his head. The fact that his choice has a gentle smell wafting well past his little corner of the showers towards the other people around him goes so far unnoticed as he stands there fuming with his own thoughts, his tail twitching in agitation as he aggressively scrubs at his head. ]

C. Seven minutes in heaven

[ Broca has really just gone in here because he wanted to get some actual clothing on instead of just a bathrobe. The fact that someone was already in here didn't bother him, because he assumed that was their goal too, and doesn't give them a second glance.

The fact that the door slams shut behind him and audibly locks, however? That has him significantly more bothered. He'll at least acknowledge the person he's stuck in here with as he lets them know. ]

I'm going to break the door down.

[ Which really shouldn't be the first thing someone jumps to, when calling for help from a passerby makes more sense, but Broca sure is walking towards the door with purpose. ]

II. CLOSEOUT

A. Daytime

[ The sex shops are of very little consequence to Broca at the moment. Yeah, he read the information given to him about the game, yeah he understands this is some sort of rich person's gambling sex club, but right now what he mostly wants is some clothing that suit his taste better. Nothing fancy, just something simple, functional, preferably in black.

So understand his annoyance when in the changing rooms the light flicker, and somehow the nice simple black t-shirt he was holding in his hands was swapped for an acid green sweater, and the equally black pants are now bright orange and significantly shorter. He's at least still got his slightly less ugly tracksuit still on as he tosses open the stall door with a loud clatter, and in a shockingly loud monotonously deadpan says-- ]

What.

[ With absolutely no explanation about what his "what" even means. He's holding up the offending sweater, but it really doesn't explain anything. ]

B. Night

[ Sometimes a guy is just minding his own business, walking past a series of stores that manages to lose his interest about 90% of the time, and his fuzzy little ears swivel when he hears a slight choking sound before a leash in unceremoniously thrust into his hand by...

Well, by the leash itself it seems. Broca is not entirely sure what the hell just happened here, but he is definitely holding the end of a leash, and on the floor near his feet is a person tethered to the other end of it.

III. MASQUERADE

A. A friendly toast!

[ After everything that has happened so far, Broca is happy to make his way to the bar. It's the one place he feels even moderate comfortable during a party that is far too lavish and grand for his taste. His job in the past during events like this was always to stand on the other side of the door, and make sure unwanteds didn't manage to sneak in. Being one of the guests feels about as uncomfortable as everything else about this situation.

So one way to deal with it is to drink his troubles away. Unfortunately for Broca, that requires a lot of drinks. Exactly how many of those Diamond Dust cocktails has he had so far? Kind of hard to tell actually... the bartender has been good about coming and picking up his empty glasses shortly after he finishes another. Either way, the man who is usually surly and closed off with strangers is turning to face whoever is sitting next to him, and tapping his finger lightly against the rim of the glass while letting them know-- ]

These aren't half bad. You should order one.

B. The petplay one

[ Look, Broca is a man with tiger ears and a tail. This is normal where he's from, but not really normal most places. The cliche had to be done, and here the man is standing here with a collar that denotes him a cat, looking ready to pick an actual fight with every single employee who snagged him in a flurry and did this to him.

Will anyone actually want to choose someone who looks ready to exchange blows? Hard to say, but maybe someone was foolish enough to ask for a random matchup, in which case... sorry to that poor sap. Broca isn't entirely unreasonable though, and can be negotiated with into playing along after his initial anger passes. ]

[ Are those real. They can't be real. They can't fucking be real. But, like. The ears twitch. The tail moves. -- no, no. Absolutely not. Kemonomimi is just a fantasy thing, it doesn't actually exist. -- but, like, this is a dream, right? So maybe it's actually happening here? There is an actual honest-to-goodness cat-guy sitting next to him?

-- is what he'd been blearily thinking while staring at Broca for the past few minutes, too zoned-out to realize just how blatantly he'd been staring. It's only when Broca suddenly turns to him that Fuuta snaps out of his train of thought with a jumpy little jolt, voice escaping in a startled grunt before he catches himself. ]

Y-yeah? [ His gaze darts from Broca's face, to his glass, up to those ears (the ears), then back down to Broca's face before he looks away to feign being normal. ] Uh, sure. I guess I'll have one, then.

[ He'd already been slowly nursing his first drink himself, pairing slow sips with a little plate of cured meats (with a ♥ special ♥ spice ♥ to them), but Fuuta hurriedly throws back the remainder of his Ruby Tongue before flagging down the bartender. ]

Give me one of, uh, those, I guess. [ Said as he points at Broca's glass. ] [ And it's then, only as the bartender nods and leaves, that he pauses, then thinks to ask, ] ... what's it taste like?

Arrival

i. Waking Up
[ Koby isn’t exactly unused to waking up curled against somebody, if he wakes up first he’ll usually move away slowly and carefully so that Helmeppo doesn’t jump up and act like cuddling him in his sleep is a crime that Koby is definitely going to mind, as if they don’t have to sleep in beds pushed together. So he starts yo extract himself slowly before realising that the bed is definitely not the one he fell asleep in.

And the person he’s asleep next to is not the one he’s sure he fell asleep with and oh god… where is he? What did he do?

He moves away, pulling the sheets around himself so he remains as covered as possible.

a. Maybe you wake up and he immediately starts stammering ] Sorry! I didn’t mean to wake you up! I was just going to… [ He didn’t actually have a plan and trails off. ]
b. You catch him searching through the room for clothing and when he realises you’re awake he looks up, sheepish, as if he feels guilty for trying to leave without waking you. ]

ii. Closet
[ Having showered and washed up hair using the Saltmarsh Sparrow Koby allows himself to be ushered to the closet to find clothing.

He’s digging through a rack of tracksuits when he hears the door swing open but he doesn’t look to see who it is, too busy trying to find something appropriate to wear.

He does however look up startled when the door slams shut and the disembodied voice tells him he and the other person have to kiss for seven minutes to be let out. ]

i. The Bar
[ After the morning he’s had Koby has decided that he honestly needs a drink and has found himself a bar stool and purchased one of the jars of wine.

Since he’s drinking alone he’s already a little buzzed.

a. Jammy Berry
He’s not really sure why there are tears streaming down his face now but he’s been handed a packet of tissues and left to it. He wishes he could hide it but it’s not really working. ]
b. Chilled Nut
He’s not that drunk, certainly not drunk enough for what happens next, and yet he turns to the person next to him and blurts out ] Sometimes I think I might have chosen the wrong side.
