"We grew up together. Practically brothers, so... I guess there's comfort in that. But we split ways nearly twenty years ago and I don't know how much of his insistence he missed me I can actually believe when the only reason we're talking is." He pauses, waving his hand around.

"We ended up here. But I guess I shouldn't have expected anything else." He's used to not being important, except to a select few.
