[It's probably audible in his voice that his cheeks are a little pink.]

[He's slowly turning to face her, voice getting quieter. He sets the broom down.]

[His voice has gotten a little warmer now, if no louder. There's a thread of amusement. He can see the humor in this. It's light and harmless, or it can be, because he trusts himself to be responsible about this, and to make sure she feels safe.]
