[Dodger was pretty sure he'd had that handled - yes, he was on the floor and midway through getting his ass handed to him by a wood nymph, but he's convinced he could have turned the tides before it got dire. Still, he's not going to complain about Scott coming to his rescue, even if he'd have liked it to come before he ended up covered in bruises.
It takes him a second to recognize Scott, getting a proper look at his eyes for the first time along with all of the more extreme changes. But he knows the teen's face well enough, and that stops Dodger from doing much more than flickering out of sight, and then coming right back when he realizes he's probably not in any danger.]
