[Don't push your luck, Shiomi!! But also it would definitely work--

As she flashes back another smile, one that edges more goofy than anything else, Scott can't stop himself from returning one of his own. It's far smaller, but no less genuine, as he feels something in his chest unclenching. While he's still in a little bit of Teacher Mode, because she seems like the age of a high school student, there is something nice just... conversing with another person that seems happy to do so. Sex casino resort aside, but it's sort of nice just engaging with someone new and sharing a meal. It's not like he gets much opportunity anyway back home, not without some sort of expectation placed on him. They're just two strangers adapting to a new place, that's how he sees it anyway. He'll establish boundaries if need be.

He's not about to just storm off. Far from it.]

So, I'm hearing that I won't have to force you to eat your vegetables.

[The slight teasing comes a little strange for him at first, but it doesn't feel bad, far from it. Peter would say that he needs something like this after everything with Jean, although even Scott can't imagine his teammate saying something like 'go have fun at a sex casino' in order to unwind. That's a bit much even for him... or he's just not creative enough--

Scott almost gracefully sits in the seat across from her, and he puts up no fight when she snatches a piece of broccoli from his plate, because this is a good thing. He almost looks encouraging, in fact, because vegetable eating!!]

Scott Summers. [He says in that more soft-spoken tone, polite while still clearly aiming to be more friendly. Taking a fork, he takes a first bite into his miso salmon and okay, this is actually really good and it clearly shows across his face. Look, he may live in a mansion, but it's more of a boarding school, really. They don't eat like this, most of the time.]

It's nice to meet you, Kotone. Or would you prefer being addressed by your last name?
