Yes. Given what I know of the other territories, it likely has to do with the Water Altar and how it balances the elements. I find it quite pleasant... though recently, we had been victims of particularly unpleasant weather. The people had to be brought in to the church until repairs can be completed.
[it was no great flood, but if they hadn't been so lucky... it might have been. Olivine's smile shifts a little toward amusement at the questions.]
Ah—no, it isn't really like that. The God of Klein... [he pauses, choosing how best to explain.] Our God is the one who brought light and life from the shadows. He gave us protection in the form of the elemental altars, and across the Klein continent, we give thanks to Him for that, though He has never descended to our lands personally—to my knowledge, at least. People worship for many reasons, most of them personal... [Olivine's head bows forward lightly, a serene smile on his face.] Though most of the work is their own, I have heard many speak of their hopes for the future, their hopes that God will protect them.
Thus, it is the responsibility of priests like myself to provide them with whatever comforts we can.
[none of this seems to weigh overly heavy on him—there is always a sense of something there that is heavy, but it's difficult to pin down even for someone more... adept at distinguishing emotions.]
Mm... perhaps that's her intent, then. [a silly thing, given there'd be less dishes if she didn't feed them so much, but... well. as they both said, still harmless.] I admit, I'm not used to seeing meals made for only one or two people if I'm not making them myself. We often fed the city, so I have some experience in making large meals. Still... at least it seems doable for two people.
[possibly because he has a pretty big appetite. at least he hasn't failed to eat for actual days again.]
The pleasure is mine, Neuvillette. [oh, that word does twist his tongue a little bit, but he does manage to get through it without too much clumsiness.] Would you mind telling me a little about Fontaine, as well? I adore learning about other places.
