For as long as he can, he'll avoid running into Xue Yang, and if he happens to, he'll hope they can remain civil with each other. If not, well, Sizhui will simply have to do as Jin Guangyao asks, which he might mention to Xue Yang to possibly help deter him. Without any weapons, he imagines it'll be easier? He doesn't linger on it long, too pleased at the memories that are also flickering through his mind at the reminder, except it won't last being as observant as he is and noticing Jin Guangyao's expression shifting.

He purses his lips in consideration, pondering exactly what he wants to say and how he wants to put it into words, before deciding to just speak truthfully. “He is. Sometimes, I don't think anyone does, but if there's one thing I've learned from him, it's that we must care because too many people don't.” He's seen so much throughout his rather short life, experienced love and loss and all the pain and happiness that comes in between, and yet he's still chosen to remain a bright spot in a heavily unforgiving world, just like his uncle.

“You're welcome,” comes softer than moments ago, sheepishness creeping into his tone again at the compliment. Lucky for him, he's holding this blanket, meaning maybe he can fix his face before it becomes too noticeable. Once the blanket is passed off so he can get changed, Sizhui pauses mid-doing so, humility making him blush hotly. “You flatter me, Jin-zongzhu, but thank you.” He isn't wrong though, he's always been spoken highly of by his clan and others he's helped, it's just he's not supposed to brag, and it feels like that's what he'll be doing if he openly agrees.

Still, he's practically beaming now when reaching for the top of the blanket, gingerly tugging it down to look at the older man full-on. “And I do try to be innovative. One has to adapt to survive, after all.” Makeshift clothing made from sheets included.
