“I missed my family terribly.” Even though she was quite angry at them. She just wanted to be with them, not rot away in an island with no one else but Gordon to keep her company. Nothing against Gordon! She was extremely grateful for his training and advice but he wasn’t her father. He wasn’t her friends.
“That’s good to know.” It’s clear she’s relieved that there were people here with varied experiences. Her not having any might deter people from trying to complete the game, but hopefully it was more of an advantage for her.
She listens to him though, regarding her situation. As someone who has regrets, she can empathize with him. He has regrets for not mending his relationships, and perhaps she would end up the same way. But right now? She’s hesitant to truly make those steps to forgive Shanks for what he did. She nods, looking solemn but after a moment she smiles gently and nods.
“I’ll consider it.” She finally says, truly meaning it too.
She laughs, light and clear as she shakes her head. “Oh I don’t know, I need get some experience first. Talk to more people.” She smiles more. “What do we win if we complete the game? Does anyone know?” She pauses, considering something before she leans over closer to him. “Wouldn’t hurt to get started, right?”
She doesn’t know his affiliation with her father, or any of the other pirates at the hotel. She doesn’t think there’s any harm in attempting to proposition him, even if it doesn’t go anywhere. Especially if it doesn’t go anywhere he can at least give her some advice, right?
