[ She appreciates his efforts to calm her, because she needs that reassurance right now ... but seeing Akira's righteous anger is centering in its own way. It's the sort of determination she's used to seeing in him, and the rest of the Phantom Thieves, during the push to infiltrate a Palace and steal someone's twisted desires. Seeing it now is grounding; it helps frame the problems they're facing now in a similar light -- as a challenge that they can overcome together, just like they have before.

[ She nods, meeting his eyes with that same resolve. ]


I agree completely.

[ Whoever controlled the resort was willing to abduct, manipulate, and coerce people to further their own ends. Whatever that final goal actually was, their methods spoke to their character. There was no reason to trust them, and every person that had been dragged here against their will was a reason to stand against them.

[ With or without her Persona, Makoto was never going to just accept this. ]
