Zoro detects a hint of something he can't quite place in the older man. Is it...shyness? It's interesting to think that someone with such a formidable appearance could be shy. He's not sure if he's reading him right, but it does make Zoro want to be more compliant.
He doesn't know what he's doing, after all, so he shouldn't make it hard for Rude to guide them through this experience.
Sharp eyes flit between the toy Rude briefly picks up and the older man's eyes, mouth falling open quietly in surprise when he's made to sit down and look up at him.
He realizes he kind of likes that, though he has to suppress the urge to push back. Instead he takes a slow, steadying breath as he holds Rude's gaze, forcing himself to relax back in his new seat as he hums at his words. "We could go train after this," he says, smirking up at him. His eyes briefly flutter shut when Rude puts a little pressure on his grip, andβyeah. Yup. He definitely likes that.
"Mm. I don't think so." Zoro pauses, because it must be strange to be unsure about a yes or no question. "Sometimes it does," he goes on to clarify, eyes opening again so he can peer up at Rude through his lashes. "But I think it's just in my head. And it doesn't actually hurt." You don't have to be in a place like this resort for your mind to play tricks on you, after all. That happens often enough in everyday life.
