[ texas always gives her the evil eye, even when she's literally trying to help her out in fun or hilarious or god awful ways. so, she's used to it. texas ever being obliging is what surprises her--
oh, and that pinch. she nearly yips like a puppy because that's definitely not something she'd actually ever expect from her; her tail swats as she claps a hand over her mouth. it's almost too embarrassing to admit she'd made a sound like that. there's definitely something up with texas, that she's been so obliging and touchy and affectionate and... if she thinks about it, it's still like a dream that something like this could be happening. she should distrust it, with all the skepticism and understanding and distance that's been between them for years and their entire lives.
