[ Admittedly, Aerith was so busy paying attention to the issues inherent in her situation that she didn't entirely notice exactly who it actually is in the car with her. It doesn't help that he's shrouded in the dim lighting, either. In fact, she gets as far as asking her question and hearing his response before it actually clicks, his voice more than anything else signalling to whom she's talking.
