[ Kaveh isn't necessarily trying to avoid the party. He doesn't really feel like going, not with the way he's ogled and stared at as of late, but he plans to at least check it out, see what the deal is.

That's the plan, anyway. In the end, what the deal is, is Kaveh being grabbed by staff and stuffed into a rental outfit that he doesn't need—and, based on how stifling and uncomfortable it is, nor does he want.

But then he's inside, and his watch isn't working, and it's very clear to him that it's one of those parties, and he's going to be here until the resort says so.

He sighs, and makes to avail himself of the nearest bar. ]

[ A little later, once he's been helped by a friend into a gold version of some significantly more suited clothing—if still a little embarrassing on account of how flashy it is—Kaveh decides to wander and look at the different games that the House has on offer for the evening. After all, it's become clear to him, what with their broken watches, that they're going to be here for quite a while. They may as well enjoy themselves while they can, right?

In the end, his first stop is what the woman manning the room calls the "Lovers' Hideaway". She offers him four cards, and Kaveh has the not-too-distant feeling that he's made a mistake. ]


Option 1: A♦ — 1, Submissive
[ He practically breathes a sigh of relief when he sees what's written on the card; he may not have seen the other options, but he's smart enough to figure out what they likely were, based on what he's holding. And given his almost complete lack of experience in the other role...

Well, this will work.

He glances around as he steps into the Lovers' Hideaway proper, offering a small smile to anyone who catches his eye. ]


Option 2: A♠ — 11, Dominant
[ Kaveh's face pales somewhat when he looks at the card he's drawn.

This is...

Well, it's not ideal. Kaveh is far from experienced in the role luck has assigned him—In fact, for a moment he strongly considers just leaving.

But... after the temporary mess the House made of his reptutation, he promised himself he'd try to put himself out there more. No more giving this place a chance to mess with him.

So he takes a breath, squares his shoulders, and walks into the Hideaway proper. ]

[ One of the things Kaveh has found difficult, since his rank was so abruptly raised all the way from 6 to Jack of Hearts, is how quick strangers are to fawn all over him. He's experienced such fame to a lesser extent back in Sumeru—when he introduces himself, people recognize his name and everything changes in the way that they address him—but it's so much worse here, where people seem to know that he's a higher rank just by looking at him, and then everything becomes about them getting his attention.

Of course, it's worse than ever at a party like this, so when he discovers the High Class Oasis, of course he decides to spend some time there.

For a large percentage of the 168 hours, Kaveh can be found resting in one of the hot tubs, quietly drinking wine, spirits, or coffee, looking through some of the complimentary clothing on offer, or even taking the time to enjoy a massage. And, when being social gets a little too exhausting even here, he'll step into one of the bathrooms or pods for a rest, refresh himself before he re-joins the festivities.

It's a safe space in the midst of the resort's craziness, and for the first time since it happened, Kaveh thinks he's genuinely happy that he's now a "royal". ]
