But the rest of what Bakugo's saying—what he's proposing as an answer—makes sense. And that's rather horrible, since it would mean two things are possible.
1. The House can send people home and kidnap them again afterwards. 2. Nobody leaves with their memories intact.
The former is obviously terrifying. But the latter...
He thinks about waking up beside Jun in their shared bed. About celebrating their birthdays and receiving Jun's handmade gift. About holding each other at night and getting breakfast or late lunch the next day. About performing together at Weiss's soirée, and about pledging their loyalty and professing their love. And then he imagines forgetting all of it. Living out the rest of his life oblivious, like it never even happened, unaware that there's a piece of his heart missing.
