While they have clocks and watches back home— it still strikes him how strange it is to have to think of himself as being in a totally separate place from everything he’s ever known— all they do is tell time and nothing else.
He has to stand still for a few minutes, finger awkwardly poking and swiping around the screen, going to the wrong place more than once, but he’s also a quick learner. Eventually, he finds the little icon that looks like it might be right and finally places a request for a staff member to bring up some clothing for him and Weiss to the room. ]
Pretty sure I got it. [ The tone of his voice indicates his relief at figuring that out just as clearly as the small, pleased smile on his face does. ] It says someone’ll drop off a few things shortly.

Nah, can’t be. [ He gives his head a little shake, that thoughtful look back on his face. There’s no denying he feels warm. His skin still looks its normal color when he glances down at his arms and hands, but it feels like it should be flushed. ] I’m a cook. Being good with heat and the stove is a requirement. Cooking a couple of omelettes wouldn’t make me feel warm. [ It makes him uneasy, feeling warm when everything felt cool just a few moments ago. His shoulders lift in a quick shrug after a moment as he turns his head to give her an uncertain smile. ] Let’s just go see about the clothing? Maybe a short walk’ll help.
