And while he does almost blurt out some thoughtless question at first -- he catches himself at the last moment, swallowing back the words that had reached the tip of his tongue. No, he should probably be a little careful. Even if this kid seems way too hot-headed and loud to be that sharp, and even if there's a chance he's connecting the wrong dots here, he still doesn't want to risk starting any trouble by saying the wrong thing.
