[Hiyori could probably poke some holes in those ideas. Surely the stone statues are strong enough to rip apart curtains and bedsheets. But he doesn't question Bakugo's words; instead he just smiles faintly.]

Well, whatever works. Just don't beat yourself up so much. You did a wonderful thing by protecting by me. I'd even be happy to reward you! ♪

[Though of course he knows that Bakugo didn't do it for the reward. The reason he did it was simple: "because that's what heroes do." Right?

His good cheer pretty much evaporates when Bakugo says that last thing, though. Now there's a possibility he hasn't considered: that the House can not only turn people to stone, but also rob them of their original personalities and turn them into mindless, sex-hungry stone zombies. He finds the idea so disagreeable that he rejects it instinctively, wrinkling his nose and shaking his head.
]

And that just means these statues probably weren't former guests! I don't know much about the person who came back from being one, but I spoke to a close friend of his, and they made it sound like he came back normal. They never said anything about him coming back with a different personality. Plus Jun-kun met that person, and I'm sure he would've mentioned if he'd been a violent creep who chased him down! So, it sounds to me like you do keep your original character, even after you become statue.
