That sounds a lot like what Mobius told him. How he can be whatever he wants to be, even someone good. Right up until the moment he’d been told that, Loki really hadn’t known. He might not have known Kang’s plans with the sacred timeline, or that the sacred timeline existed at all, but finding out he was set up to fail his whole life had hardly been a surprise.

The part about doing things for the right reasons, not just because he thinks someone wants to, or any of that, but because he should. Well, that part sounds a lot like what Sylvie had been saying right before he arrived here. How even when he was trying to do the right thing with getting everyone back together, he was doing it for selfish reasons.

It’s all things he still thinks about regularly, and if this conversation ever were to happen with Peter, Loki is sure to think he’s wise beyond his years. And most definitely not a child.

“Well then, perhaps I will try telling you more often. I have found that sort of thing helps when it comes to believing.” He smiles at Peter, still a bit concerned, though he doesn’t think anything too bad can happen at this point.
