Probably? ( he can’t say he knows for sure. but he can look at the facts in the discerning, cunning way that a demon might. ) What they do is promise a wish as a prize for winning their game. But you don’t necessarily have to wish to go back home the way you are now, right? Maybe you could just wish for being returned where and when you were taken from. Then you wouldn’t have to worry.
( okay, maybe that’s considered slimy or rules lawyering, but who knows? he figures that the House is just out for whatever they get out of all of the guests playing the game. they might even appreciate the cleverness involved. that, or maybe they would hate it and try to twist or punish it somehow. it’s a mystery!
