I can’t say why I had it, but perhaps it has to do with how intrinsically linked a Vision holder is with their Vision.

[The blue bauble shines in the artificial sunlight.] Visions are said to be gifted to us because of our strong desires and ambitions. In that sense, they’re physical manifestations of those feelings. [And if one was to think of it that way-]

People who lose their Visions are known for losing memories and even having their personality change completely. Not every single person reacts the same, but perhaps the house thought that it would be a problem for us not to have them in fear of the repercussions of our persons.
