[ It dawns on Hilda that Edelgard had seemed to misinterpret her doubt. Or maybe she hadn't misinterpret it at all and had instead tried to impress that there was a "greater foe" here in this resort. She didn't make it her business to try and decipher what went on in the woman's head; she hadn't during their younger years and certainly hadn't several hours ago when she'd awoken not on a battlefield but in a bed half naked.

Whatever Edelgard's intentions were (which technically she had laid out very plainly before her), Hilda stands up from her place refusing to be looked down on. ...And no she isn't going to take into account that Edelgard is technically a little taller than her - it's the attitude that really matters in the end not the physical height. With a hand on her cocked hip Hilda stares the woman down with that wave of hostility she had been waiting for. Albeit with a touch of confusion. ]

What do you mean different points in time and not quite the same history? A couple of hours ago I was facing your forces outside of Derdriu. I saw you commanding your forces on the other side of the battlefield. In what world would I ever be your ally after everything that happened in Fodlan?

[ Of course, there's an answer to her question in the form of a syncrohnized chirp from the device on their wrists. It was a friendly reminder of the time that they had left to complete their little scavenger hunt which she pointedly seems to ignore despite the shiver the runs down her spine about what awaited them if they didn't.

A beat later however she snaps her sunglasses off her face thrusting them towards her looking none too pleased at all. ]

We're not done speaking about this.

[ She wanted answers. ]
