[Pain is nothing she hasn't endured before, nor terror, nor fear. Pain so deep that one could liken it unto death was almost something that meant nothing to her anymore, after so much of her time spent as a weapon, time spent as the Fyrefly Type-IV assault mech, of taking on the mantle of Sam the Stellaron Hunter. For one who cannot dream, all she really had were her daydreams, her ideals, her wistful fantasies, the idle thoughts of what it would be like to be healthy, to be normal. She would not balk in the face of this new challenge, and as she had thought so many times before: like fyreflies to a flame, life begets death. Even if her life was to be cut even more tragically fast than before, she'd go out in a blaze, and do it as herself. Firefly needed no one to offer her succor in her final moments, whenever they happened to come, least of all him or his God-- all she needed was her own determination and will to carry on.]

I've always found her music to be very inspiring. My favorite track is "If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking"...

[Firefly tilts her head back up to look at him inquisitively.]

Do you have a favorite of her music?

[Part of her wondered if he'd much rather she never sing again, or to cage her by his side like the charmony dove of their childhood he spoke so much of. After the palpable anger when he spoke of Robin's near death experience, asking them whether they would have clipped her wings and kept her from continuing on with her dream henceforth, Firefly truly did wonder, if the prior questions were any indication, the point was that he felt he very much should have. Not that it was his place or right to... but he certainly seemed the type to try.]
