daydream parasols;

[He can't fully remember how he ended up here or what's fully happening, only the feeling that something is distinctively wrong with him. Namely, the sense that his powers are no longer working, the constant stream that emits from eyes, the buzzing in his head... both are entirely absent. At first, fear grapples his chest, the mutant sitting up from the sandy beach as he looks around with almost startled movements.

And that's when he sees Nami, smiling at him.]


Nami...? [He can't hide the relief in his voice, seeing someone familiar, someone that he trusts near him. It's a little easier to push that anxiety behind as he takes in her warm smile, not to mention the confidence she's exuding and he slowly gets up to follow her lead. He's not sure where she's taking them, but Scott doesn't mind following.

Not to mention the heat in his body is a little hard to ignore.]


We were... [Details are becoming a little less hazy and despite his powerless condition right now, excitement starts to build in his chest, remembering what they just experienced. They're on this beach because they just escaped together, successfully fleeing a stronghold, and the rush of that memory gets Scott to smile just a bit more.]

We made it, together.
