[ The circles on her ankle are distracting at best, but not so distracting that she doesn't hear the obvious purr in his voice. It has her questioning what exactly is going on here before a voice asks if it's a touch that's really that unwelcome (and is it so surprising considering it's Sylvain)? Of course, the answer is no.

Because when was the last time she had really flirted for the sake of flirting? Sylvain had always been reliable for that because neither of them wanted anything serious, and she wanted a way to annoy Holst even if he never knew about it.

She takes a thoughtful sip of her drink this time through the curly straw. There are in hindsight probably more important things to figure out. Like what was the last thing he remembers and why he seems so at home and at ease here than she had ever seen him at the Academy. But asking those things feels like a way for him to turn and leave in the other direction.

And now that she's seen a familiar face all she wants is to not be alone. ]

I don't really know. There's no late library books to be returned and my drink is still fresh. Why don't you surprise me?
