Except he must have because there’s something seriously off this place and it’s not just the lack of half-animal bodies around or the weird sky. No it's the sudden sensation of soft arms around his waist which makes him startle and that voice that he’s only heard on the news before.]

[His eyes fall on the water and suddenly her caution makes so much sense! No wonder! He's seen how some of the guard act when they've faced battle and he knows even somebody strong like Lunafreya must have new fears after Altissia. Blue eyes dart to the water, checking for any threats before allowing himself to focus on the sensation of her skin against his. The heat feels almost overbearing, almost like urgent needles under his skin, but there's no way he's letting her go. Not when she feels so good.

He bows his head and rubs circles on her arms before turning to face her with a bright, exaggerated smile. When all else fails he can at least try to cheer her up or distract her.]
