It's a gruff voice, rather bossy, rather rude, and no one usually speaks to him in that way, so why should he stop to consider it in the state that he's in now? But the moment a cold can rests against his forehead, it's a painful shock. As much as the cool might be a relief to his overheating body right now, icy cold is just a flip of a switch from one extreme to the other. His heart jumps, skips a couple of beats, and struggles to regulate back to normal as he scrambles to half sit up.
His head is spinning, his face is flushed, and when he stares up at the stranger in front of him, he looks completely out of it.
Ah, this... This feeling knotting up inside of his stomach right now is most certainly anger. It's at odds with the state of himself, right now, and with the desire to be seen as polite in public. So, with a strained smile, he reaches up to push that can away. )
