[Soundwave is silent. Not even the her tease gets the usual grumble out of him. He's painfully aware how silly it is for him to turn away from her, but he's not sure if he could look at her reaction directly.
The near quiet flap of the pages turning gets to him, but not nearly as much when the sound suddenly stops. That could only mean one thing. Monika has found the page with his writing for her. Soundwave tries to focus on... whatever object is in front of him, not wanting to... spoil himself on what he could sense from her reading his writing. He.... He wants it to be surprise.
But the wait is killing him.
However long the silence actually last in reality. For Soundwave, it feels like an eternity. The deafening silence brings back the nervousness that crept up in him earlier. But still doesn't dare to fully turn her way, arms folded, his hands grip hard around his metal that it cringes, waiting for a reaction. A word. Anything. To break this endless silence.
It's only when he hears the whispered words coming out of her shaky lips that Soundwave finally turns back to her. There, he sees the tears threatening to leak out of her eyes. His arms falls and dangles to his side.
Come pick me up. Please
Without a word, he reaches his hand out to her face, shaking subtly as he wipes the tear rolling down on one cheek, then cups it for a second before it goes down to her shoulder.
The lightest of squeeze there, before that hand moves again to her back, and then his other arm wraps around her waist. Slowly, he picks her up in a gentle but firm embrace, gently tugs her up and up, until her face is on the same level as his. His visor glow brighter, making it nearly impossible for her reflection to be seen on him.
Another silence follows. He doesn't know what to say. Though... there isn't anything to say, is there. He could see in the expression on her face, the emotions emanating out of her, the tears that wet her cheeks... She must've felt strongly about it. But, somehow, for reasons he can't quite grasp, he wants to her hear thoughts. Not in her emotions or mind, but to hear them coming out from her own lips.]
