An utter surprise to even me, I assure you. But it does make it easy to coordinate with them, on Astra.

[he pauses there then, more out of curiosity and something like concern than refusal to explain in full (that refusal does still exist, though). Reed squirms and he suspects it isn't being helped by the pollen...]

... Mm.

[it's funny. as cool as he is normally, this still feels so... awkward. to be stuck in a circumstance like this place is imposing on them all...]

Let's take a walk. I'll check back on the butterflies later, the pollen is suffocating.

[an abrupt statement, and he rises to his feet gracefully, offering a hand up. the claws tipping his fingers are long, but they don't seem overly sharp, rounded at the tips; they're more like the spindly legs of an insect.

it does finally occur to him (and make him concerned for just how out of it he actually is) that he should probably introduce himself. they're stuck here, after all.]
