Peter doesn't know anything about Loki outside of some Norse folklore and mythology. So, he'll give Loki the room to demonstrate who he is all on his own. Peter wants to believe the best about everyone. And he does, until they show him otherwise.

He would definitely benefit from more people telling him that he's fine the way he is. Growing up as a genius sort of nerdy kid didn't win him tons of friends and popularity. Not great for the self-esteem and confidence. Maybe college would be better, but he hasn't actually had a chance to go yet.

A glance downward, then back up, Peter tilts his head. "Neat trick," he says. Definitely hadn't been expecting that at all. Well, the naked part sure, but not the instant clothing removal. Even that is new for him. He blinks again and looks right at Loki. "Eye contact the whole time?" he asks. Now he's a little nervous because he knows he can't do that. He'll try, but he's like ninety-percent positive he'll fail.
