Peter would like to think that he'd resist being made to be submissive, but, truthfully, he wouldn't. He might be a brat, but he would submit easily for most requests from the right people. Heck, he was about two steps from being, essentially, a sex slave to a vampire once. He might have a type. (Older men with domineering personalities, frequently sporting facial hair.)

Loki's theory might also be correct, but Peter was pretty sure people kept stuff from him because they thought he was just a kid.

Peter loves being praised, he thrives on it, it's just that he's not always the best at accepting it without blushing. Maybe if people keep doing it that'll get better too.
