[ He smiles at her, despite the change of demeanour, there's no hard feelings there between them. At least she hasn't yelled at him yet, so he's not complaining just yet. ]

It's fine, don't worry 'bout it. I've never done something like this before, either. Uh, that's why I thought this was some big joke. Never had a chance to check out the slots, so that's my fault.

[ Despite his verbal jargon, he doesn't feel overly slighted by her. Knowing that there were worse options on the slots than this one, he's glad this one wasn't too bad. Not that he thinks what she asked was stupid. And he's just here to help, but maybe he should be more mindful of that in the future.

He's not completely lacking in confidence; now that she can see him, so it helps with the way she's looking at him, too. But what doesn't help is that people are still coming in and out, paying attention to whatever they're doing. But there's nothing here for them to look at!

Her reaction definitely builds his confidence, showing an almost lopsided smile. And with her positive reaction, he gains confidence, a slightly crooked smile appearing on his face. ]

Heh, thanks! It's appreciated 'cause I work pretty hard. By the way, you look good in my shirt.

[ Another patron snickered behind him, and though he was already aware that he appeared cringy, wanting to return the "compliment" that Monika had given him. Shirt, jacket, whatever! It's all the same in the end. ]
