[It's fair to say he doesn't know what he's dealing with. All he knows is that the girl he woke up with doesn't want to be here, either—a surefire sign that this is sabotage, since eloping with him ought to be a joyous occasion! And she seems grumpy, which is understandable given the aforementioned sabotage. Still, two grumpy people makes for an absolutely dismal state of affairs, so her poor mood is paradoxically prompting him to act more cheerful. Time to sublimate that anger!

His words were intended to calm her down, and well, she does seem calm, in a dry and deadpan sort of way. No more receptive to poison-testing, though, which is unfortunate for him. What should he do now...? He can't afford to go hungry, but he can't afford to fall prey to some scheme, either! Or rather, he can't afford to fall prey to another scheme, since he's already in the midst of one evil plot. He's just not sure what to do!

But while he's deliberating, his bedmate approaches. He blinks when she takes the mini quiche, before visibly brightening up.

Ah, you had a change of heart, huh? ♪

[Good, good. Though he's not sure what to make of that cryptic statement. And he will actually feel bad if the food turns out to be poisoned—or laced with some kind of sleep and/or memory drug, which is what he suspects might really be going on (it would explain why neither of them woke up while they were transported here).

But if that's the case, he'll look after her! And if the food is safe, then they can both dig in and savor the lovely quiches to their heart's content. He watches her face, trying to gauge her reaction.

And then gets one of the nastiest shocks of his life!

Sure, he's heard rude things from people before (things like "With your personality, it's amazing you haven't been stabbed"), but he's never been force-fed, or even manhandled at all like this! Or, uh, womanhandled? Anyway, he did not see this coming, and the wide-eyed look of alarm on his face is probably quite satisfying.

Mmph—?!

[He gags for a second, then starts to chew. Because, well, what else is there to do? He won't spit it out, he's not an animal. The quiche easily starts to crumble, though, so he hurriedly brings his hands to his mouth to catch a chunk before it can fall.

And then once his mouth isn't full, he squawks.

Hey, hey! What was that for?!
